That one-hour drive has been 100% worth it ever since! They've handled several complex dental issues for me that other dentists struggled with--especially when it came to achieving outstanding cosmetic results. The work is always precise, natural-looking, and done with genuine care for both function and appearance. I've never felt rushed or like just another patient; they truly listen and tailor everything to what works best for me. The entire team is exceptional. Dr. Rosen is incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, and has a calm, reassuring manner that puts you at ease. Amanda and Jeanie are absolute standouts--warm, attentive, and so good at what they do. The front office staff is equally friendly and efficient; they make scheduling and check-ins a breeze. Despite the distance, I'll keep coming back because Wauwatosa Dental Arts simply offers the best dental experience out there. If you're looking for top-tier care, especially for cosmetic or challenging cases, this is the place. Highly recommend--5 stars aren't enough! Thanks to the whole team for taking such great care of me all these years!

After being told that a root canal wasn't the answer, my dentist recommended Dr Walloch at Milwaukee Oral Surgery in Menomonee Falls. I have high dental surgery anxiety, so I was fearful of getting the extraction. When I arrived at the office, the receptionist, Janet, was very professional, and then my tech, Karen, and Dr Walloch, very quickly, had me prepped and assured me that the process would go quickly. After the extraction, they provided me with post op supplies and great instructions for post op care. Following their instructions, the bleeding stopped after about 4 hours, and I have not even taken any pain relief for the surgery. This was about as great an experience that I ever could have expected. Thank you Dr Walloch and team at Milwaukee Oral Surgery in Menomonee Falls.

I developed a significant infection beneath a problematic canine tooth, which suddenly became…read moreunbearable over a weekend. I was fortunate to be able to see my primary dentist the following Monday. It was felt that a root canal would be needed, and I luckily was able to see a specialist that morning due to a cancellation. Unfortunately, the specialist terminated the procedure due to the extent of hidden decay present, and I was referred to Milwaukee Oral Surgery and Implants to have the tooth removed after a course of antibiotics to treat the infection. The entire staff at Milwaukee was courteous, diligent, and helpful with scheduling, follow-up reminders, and communication. Dr. Wallock exceeded my expectations. The extraction was difficult given the condition of the tooth (partially removed, infected, and decayed).I was concerned about the healing period given the infection and pain endured to that point. Dr. Wallock prescribed adequate pain medication and called me the following morning to see how I was feeling. He also gave me his personal cell number to call if there was a need. That in itself is unheard of in the medical profession (at least in my experience). After a few days, my pain was not decreasing, and I was concerned. I called, left a VM, and spoke with Dr. Wallock within an hour. He agreed that I might still have a lingering infection and prescribed an additional course of antibiotics. Within two days, the majority of my pain and discomfort began to diminish. Dr. Walloch helped get me past a difficult two weeks so that I could enjoy a scheduled vacation 10 days after the removal. This is the level of care one should expect to receive when dealing with a significant health issue. I highly recommend Dr. Walloch and the clinic collectively.

Leaving a yelp review for a dentist seems weird, but I see there are others so... My family has…read morebeen very happy with Elmbrook Family Dental for 20+ years, starting when Dr. Brunner was just a kid! I recently completed a tooth implant process that took several months (remove 40-year old crown, bone graft, wait for that to heal, implant post, wait for that to heal, implant!). The whole process was about as painless as it could possibly be. One of the things I like best about Elmbrook Family Dental is that they explain things clearly -- throughout the process Dr. Plecas explained each step, what the options were, what he thought the best option would be, and why. Knowing about the bone graft was especially important to me, and seeing what the part of the implant would be and how it all went together was cool. I was initially concerned because my son's wedding was coming up, and I didn't want to have a big hole in my mouth for pictures. Dr. Plecas discussed options with me -- the full process wouldn't be complete before the wedding. If I wanted, we could have gotten a temporary fake tooth there, but he thought I should wait and see how it looked. Once the tooth was removed I found that the space wasn't very noticeable at all. I'm very glad that I didn't spend the extra money on a temporary tooth! It feels like we know everyone there - we've been there for years, and at times we had six family members going. My older kids only stopped going there when they totally left the area; while they were in college out of state they still went to Elmbrook Family Dental, scheduling appointments around their breaks. One of the other things I like about Elmbrook Family Dental is that they keep up with processes, technology, and materials.

I had been seeing Dr. Brunner for about 13 years for general dentistry. Since his TMJ training, my…read moregeneral dentistry appointments have been awful. It's a hard sell for TMJ services with every appointment. Cost for TMJ services: Assessment $650 and treatment $5400-6500 (services weren't clarified) with payment required upfront. He says he uses a third-party to maximize insurance payout and after that is received, he would refund anything that insurance covers. When I asked what patients do when they can't afford this treatment, he became defensive and explained that he couldn't provide services for free (which I wouldn't expect). I found a local (TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Center) doctor who is excellent, fitted me with a night guard for under $200, and that has very clear patient costs for services after insurance, and charges much less overall.

I've had a new tech this year and sad to see the one I had no longer there. The new dental tech is very nice, more direct and less talkative but very professional. I highly, HIGHLY recommend them! Each time I've gone they've informed me of potential issues that may be coming. This is nice because other dentists I went to just told you what you needed and you didn't really have a say in the matter. You'd think a good dentist would see issues starting and let you know. The same should go for car mechanics. I recently had a horrible situation with one of those.
