This is a review specifically for their Future Stars Junior Tennis Program through SWITA - I've…read morebeen bringing my 5 year old for almost 2 months now and we LOVE it! We've tried a lot of different sports in her short little life and this is easily our favorite one, in large part to the awesome experience! The current spring sessions are twice a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-5pm. I was surprised that they were an hour long because most activities for this age range tend to be shorter. But the benefit of a full hour is the amount of actual practice and playing time the kids get + the amount of energy they exert! The racquet club itself is like a hidden gem tucked away in a beautiful neighborhood. They offer a lot of different classes and the staff are friendly & down-to-earth. Our favorite part though are the coaches! Her main coach - coach Joe - is stellar! He has a great balance of being direct and fun! It's the first time I feel like my daughter has gotten real instruction in an activity like this which means she's actually learning and improving! It's also helped her build more confidence because she feels like she knows what's she doing and she gets feedback and help when she doesn't. We plan to attend the entire spring program as well as continue with tennis here for the foreseeable future!

The tournament went smoothly. Great experience. Added plus that they had some coverings over the seating area on some of the courts. Needed in this hot climate.

They have a section of a small shop, and a stringing machine located inside of the center. They have a little section where they sell snacks and drinks. There were two racquet ball /squash courts located in the back. The Lockeroom's were decent, except the shower room. The shower room needed updating. It looked dirty, the shower curtain was not functional. It was hard to close. The shower head hardly had water spraying out. It was awful.

So an update 1)…read moreAnother new GM. 3rd one in the last yr. This one has been denied the job several times at a couple locations. Hired in house with no tennis experience. Tennis side of the club is livid 2) Renovation to Men's wet area are 15 months in and dry sauna works, nope, closed for the 3rd time this month. New tile is cracking .... 3) New Tennis director teachs at the club and has applied 5 times and on the 6th attempt gets the job. FyI 6tennis directors in 8 yrs Members pay the same monthly dues but Members who have been around have groups taking 7 or 8 courts every week and are not required to make reservations. THEY ARE GRANDFATHERED IN, per the new GM, Micki. OTHER members are required to get up at 4:55 AM, 48 hrs in advance to "maybe" get a court.

Ed and Brian and Nick are high quality people and do a great job managing the facilities. Absolutely come to cardio tennis. It's an hour of running and skills drills and awesome music and running and did I mention the awesome music? $3 beers or white claw in the bar after playing a couple sets is a welcome rest after the heat.

I've been coming up to SRP for many a-years, mainly for beach volleyball. There's lots of other activities spots too - baseball/softball fields, open fields for grass volleyball/football, basketball courts, playground, and walking paths. But I only care about the beach courts. The City of Scottsdale is routinely known for all the above with SRP courts- which is why they are always in high demand. #FirstWorldProblem There are 6 doubles courts with provided lines, lights, and ramadas with tables in the walkway between Courts 1&2 and Courts 3-6. Seriously, they know what they're doing here. A couple of years ago I called the Parks office to rent courts for my birthday volleyball tourney and the guy I spoke with indicated that they know they're good. If they aren't reserved, it's truly a toss up whether you can claim a court or not (even during summer). I only wish that other towns/cities could build as good courts in bulk much closer to me so the drive would be better, but a las.. I still end up at SRP weekly.

Excellent park in Scottsdale. We called ahead to book a tennis court. It costs to reserve for 90…read moremin but well worth it. Courts are clean and safe. There were a few homeless people around but felt safe inside the courts. I saw lots of families out on the playground to multiple courts being used. Plenty of parking but only a few that are shaded under a tree. Water stations throughout the tennis courts and access to bathrooms. They have racketball courts, baseball diamonds, basketball courts, corn hole area, playground (with a canopy cover for the aun), basketball and tennis courts. We will be back for sure.
