Turns out there is a violation code on her title. Sunrise Roofing never had the final inspections done on the roof. So now we are currently at Shasta County Building Permit Center paying a total of just under $550 to get them to come out and inspect the roof and cancel the violation and her closing for her refinancing of the home is pushed out until all of this is taken care of. I have tried calling Sunrise Roofing multiple times to talk to them about this and they have not answered.

A kick-off meeting or call would have been helpful to go over our options, ask questions, and get a better sense of the timeline. We were always playing catch-up with questions and requests because we got a days' notice for tear off (which is understandable with winter weather of course). Additionally, there were a couple of instances where the crew arrived without prior notice, and it was just luck that someone was home to put the dogs away.
