And to not have much come of the top; he ended up cutting more than half of my hair off in the back. I use to be able to straighten my hair and it touch my shoulders, from the middle of my head to the bottom, but now it's almost like I just started my afro 2 months ago and I've been growing it for years. I'm not a barber but i thought there was a difference between a trim and a cut. When i noticed and grabbed my hair to check the length he gone look and say "don't worry about it you still got enough hair left." First of all that's not for you to decide, how long i want it is based off of what I want. Second don't try to gaslight me about something I'm paying for. And then to charge me $50 and shrug it off like you doing me a favor is mad wild. I wasn't going to leave this comment at first, but after seeing some people in here who experienced similar things i got irritated. Barbers yes you are the professional and you know more about hair than us who aren't experienced; but if I'm paying you for a service please give me what I am asking for. My hair grows slow and I was planning on getting braids soon, but now I'm starting back at square one just because a barber thought they were doing me a favor. Even the top of my hair got a nice amount of length take. In the end I paid for the haircut without arguing because there is no point since my hair is already gone, the haircut wasn't bad just not what I asked for. Which is another reason i paid because I'm not a person who likes to seem ungrateful or like they are just trying to get something for free. To be honest though, I'm pissed I just needed to let that be known.
