My husband works from home and would have HEARD someone on the roof installing shingles. He then tried to charge us $75 for a return visit to take pictures, stating his "contract" did not provide for pictures. When I messaged him that no one came to the door to say the work was done on the day it allegedly was (who does that?? - at that point we would have asked whoever did it to get back on the roof and take pictures, and they would have gotten paid that day), he said that his worker's phone was "broken" that day. If that person had knocked (he didn't), my husband would have handed the guy HIS phone and asked him to go back up the ladder and take the pictures. We have repeatedly messaged him stating if he wants to get paid, he needs to come out and actually give some CUSTOMER SERVICE by giving us proof that the work was done, and then I will hand him a check. He has not responded. Addendum: Only AFTER receiving the above review and reading emails sent to his office today quoting his own contract (which specifically states at item 4 that he will "provide" photos and warranty details after the job is completed) did he bother to respond and come back. He still did not knock on the door, but my husband saw him sitting outside and approached him to ask who he was and what he was doing (he claims he met with my husband, but my husband did not recognize him). He then sat in his truck for 30 minutes and then texted that he was ready to show us pictures - but he refused to send them to us unless we agreed to sign a "non-disparagement clause" and take down this review. Not only did he not apologize for the poor customer service already provided, he was obnoxious and proceeded to argue and be incredibly disrespectful to me and my husband, shouting, attempting to bully me and not letting us finish a sentence, and repeatedly refused to just send us copies of the pictures in exchange for payment. There was no way I was going to agree to sign a "non-disparagement clause." He has earned the bad reviews he has received. He refused to send us the pictures and drove away, claiming he will take us to court. If I could give zero stars, I would. I hope you read this message, Mr. Parks. As I repeatedly tried to tell you, (although you kept interrupting and talking over me), per your own contract, when you PROVIDE us the pictures of the work you claim was done on our roof (you could have sent them from your phone in less than 30 seconds) with copies of the receipts of the shingles you purchased on our behalf, we will mail you a check. Extremely Disappointed - Misleading Financing and Unfair Practices…read more I would never recommend A.G.U. Roofing Company after my experience. I originally contacted them about getting a new roof and solar using the PACE financing program offered by the State of Florida. A.G.U. told me in writing that the interest rate would be 7.99%, which sounded reasonable. Based on that, I agreed to move forward. When I got the final numbers, the rate had jumped to 12.79%, far higher than what was promised. I told them that was too much and decided to do just the roof and pay cash instead. I ended up paying over $20,000 for the roof alone, which I later found out was very high compared to other estimates I received. Now, even after I've paid in full for the roof, A.G.U. is trying to charge me a $1,000 cancellation fee just because I didn't do the solar. That is completely unfair, especially since their own misleading information about the interest rate is the reason I canceled the solar in the first place. This company's sales tactics are deceptive, their pricing is excessive, and their business practices are unacceptable. Be very careful before signing anything with them. I truly regret doing business with A.G.U. Roofing.

He gave us an estimate for repairing two places up there for under $1000. That was acceptable to us and he said he was busy the next week but could do it the week after. Three of them came that week and it was done in a day. He billed us for the same amount as on the estimate and I expect we will use them again when we need to have the entire roof done in another year or two. I highly recommend them.

Some wanted upwards of $14,000, and one wanted as low as, $7,500, but most were middle of the road, around $8,800 - $9,100. I made the mistake of going with the lowest quote to my detriment. That contractor ended up wasting months of our time and money, making promises to come out and that he'd just give me a refund, which thankfully he finally did. Clark's Roofing was one of those original contractors I originally contacted, and was the only one I could get ahold of that would actually respond. What I remembered about him, was that when I wanted the estimate he was out there the next day, when I needed all this paperwork filled out for the loan, no problem, had it within a day or two, just really solid. When I contacted him again months later, after having already chosen that other contractor, and giving him short notice, I was afraid that he was going to want to charge more than the original quote. But he didn't try to charge me a single dime more, signed off on the same quote and price with a fresh date and signature. Everything was legit with this guy, there was no dancing around or swindling or anything, it was just good work for a fair price. And it seems to me like this guy really knows his stuff, like he's actually been in the business rather than an a managerial middle-man type guy that funds and controls but doesn't actually have a clue as to how to do the work. One thing I specifically remember that impressed me the most was how he didn't shy away from "woodwork" like some of the contractors I encountered, also it didn't affect the price whatsoever. I ended up doing the hardest part of it myself (fixing the overhang on the flat roof, just because I wanted to) but they easily took care of the rest of it. I had heard how many of the roof companies have lawyers available to fight insurance companies so that they can charge more money so that a homeowner can recoup a portion of their deductible. That sounded like fraud to me. OCR sized up my project gave me a competitive price with a 10 year warranty on their work and the manufacturer offered a 50 year limited warranty if the roof was installed according to their specifications which it was. The crew came went right to work and with in a day and a half the roof was on and I was very satisfied. I would strongly recommend this company if you need a roof replacement or repair.

Slow leaks may take a couple years to show on the interior ceilings. Unfortunately by then, the five-year warranty may have run out.
