I was told it might be the alignment, or the tire balancing; I had them do both. I was told my brakes were "worn" (whose aren't?!), but didn't have that done. I was also told the age of my tires might be leading to dry rot. (5 years) When I got out on the highway, the vibration was WORSE! I had to drive at a slower speed to a Subaru dealer in VA. They told me I had a bubble in one tire, & they were "feathering". I had them check the brakes, & they MEASURED the brakes pads at 3 mm, which indicated they needed replacing. Tires were on sale. So I replaced! My Master mechanic son-in-law, When he had taken a look at my tires & heard my story, said: "You need to find a new place to take your car." Wasted $175!

They communicate well, and even put a pair of end links on for me that I had sitting in my backseat. I was gonna put them on myself, but while they were installing my lift, they probably figured it was a good "might as well while we're here" situation and didn't charge me extra for that. Great work, great experience, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone in town recommends them and now I see why. 2 year update: The shop still does great work with my vehicle, and is my go to. They're busy but still manage to fit you in, and their pricing is at or below what it should be for various jobs. With higher mileage vehicles, you typically expect and dread the inevitable call you get from the shop saying they found other things that need attention, but they do so with respect and honesty about the situation that the parts in question call for, and apply zero pressure. These folks are continually straight up with me. It's hard finding a decent shop it seems, but this place is it.

I have taken all of them there, 2 Lexus, F150 truck, Chevy Silverado truck and a Nissan 350Z. They can work on all of them. They look up parts for my vehicles and get a good price for them. They let you know when it will be ready and have never been wrong. I had a friend that received a quote from another garage, and they were half the price. I have started taking my work vehicles there because they do such good work. I hate in a way to write this review because it will probably make them busier than they already are. I have recommended them to my friends and none of them have been disappointed.

Adding updates to my original review from several years ago…read more 7/11/24: Want to reiterate that these guys TAKE CARE of loyal customers. They have bent over backwards for me several times when i have been in need. Also, from a year ago: Went to these guys for a full synthetic oil change on 5/23/23 -- their price was $30 cheaper than Jiffy Lube! Then, coincidentally, as I was leaving town at 1230 on 5/26 on 74, my steering wheel started shuddering whenever I steered toward the right at high speed. Immediately turned back to Grease Monkey. Alan accompanied me on a test drive all the way from Monkey Junction back onto 74 to troubleshoot, ordered two control arms on the spot, shoehorned me into their schedule and had me back on the road by 4:30PM. Incredible! Nicest, most respectful guys and so relieved to have found a dependable, trustworthy shop. I had no idea they did all sort of mechnica work!

But then turned around and said plus $173 for the diagnostic so almost $1000.00. So not only did they lie about eating the diagnostic charge they upped it $24 dollars. So we paid the diagnostic charge and left. Seems pretty untrustworthy to me when they lie from the start. I will definitely not return to this shop or recommend them to anyone.
