It was everything I had hoped for. We visited special sites associated with the Anglo-Saxon period of history, beginning with a magical night on Holy Island. Prof. Drout presents the history of the sites and the people who lived there, and was able to connect together all of the locations that we visited. The hotels were small and individual, and very much the type I would choose if I were traveling on my own. The trip was well organized, and the other participants interesting to get to know. While I will continue traveling independently, I hope to be able to take another Scholarly Sojourns tour.

I looked them up, saw a time slot for 2:30pm, and made my way there. Parking was no issue as I parked for free a short walk away. There was a long line, but I was still able to get on. Cost was $20. Lower level had some snacks while upper level was open and had great views. Although it was a little hard to hear the tour guide speak as his voice came through the speakers a little muffled, I still got to learn a great deal about the history of the area and the various landmarks. In addition, it was so relaxing to just sit in my chair on the boat, kick back, and enjoy the awesome views all while it was in the 70s, not to mention take some excellent pictures. Boat ride was an hour which I felt was the perfect amount of time to be out. It was long enough that I could relax but short enough that I had enough time to do other things that day. Last paragraph here is just to say that I had this review rated at 4 stars due to the issues with the speakers, but I was still able to hear most of what the tour guide was saying, plus just being on the boat and taking in the views to me easily made it worth the $20 bucks spent.

A week before the event, someone contacted us and said they no longer could provide this service/tickets because of a family illness. This business is supposedly all across the US so how would a family illness affect my tickets? In any case, I asked if I could just purchase the tickets and they said their ticket contact had not heard from them so they released the tickets. So we did not get to attend a Panthers game and it took them two days after even telling us to refund our tickets. Would DEF not recommend this company. Found them on craigslist. They have an A+ on BBB but I cannot imagine why.

It was pretty delightful & the staff were super friendly and interacting with the animals. The CC was started 20 years ago with Al the Alligator! He was dropped off at the Vet clinic and they started CC all around him. Pretty awesome. It's not a massive space so it was perfect to get there at 3:30pm - in time for the 4pm show which is followed by an Al the Alligator feeding! We checked out all the habitats on the outside as well. Super cool experience - I'd love to come back for one of their turtle yoga, 18+ paint nights, etc. They always have pretty cool themed programming. Also follow their social media - they post the best content!

But if you pay for admission, you can enter their buildings that have lots more animals like sloths on the ceiling, a reindeer, an emu, mongoose, warthog, clouded leopards, a cougar, and a 300 pound alligator! There are many animals inside for sure! General admission is $15 and it's considered a day pass which means you can leave and come back (the lady clarified for us). Kids above 2 are $13 and those 2 and under are free! Loved this place and def coming back!
