I promise you, it's worth the wait! We got the mince and veggie pie and the fish and chips, in both were absolutely fantastic. The breading on the fish was delicious and light, and the chips were perfectly cooked and nice and crispy. They definitely tasted fresh, not frozen. The pie was fantastic as well. The pastry was flaky and light, and there was just the right amount of fillings. The gravy they served with it was the perfect compliment, and even tasted good with the chips. I am not a fan of peas, but the mushy peas were excellent and not at all what I expected. We couldn't decide which dessert to get, so we got both. They were both delicious and on different sides of the spectrum. The sticky toffee pudding was decadent with a considerable depth of flavor. It came out warm and swimming in the toffee sauce. It was very rich. Conversely, the Eton Mess was light and refreshing, with a good balance between the cream, strawberries, and meringue. The only downfalls were the limited menu and that everyone's food came out at different times (even the desserts), which really extended the amount of time it took to have dinner. That being said, I can forgive the limited menu considering everything on it was phenomenal. If I had had to wait, that would probably have been a big drawback.

The owners ( two couples) are professional and friendly, they go above and beyond to make sure guests are comfy, we had no issues whatsoever. We are so glad we stayed here for a few nights. You can walk downtown for restaurants and shops. You have everything you need in one place, southern charm, tasty homemade breakfast, snacks, coffee in the room and in the main dining area. Plenty of seating- lounging areas for your comfort. Our room was absolutely beautiful, there was a balcony with rocking chairs. I highly recommend all to give them a try if you're in the area, we will most definitely stay here again! This was another unique experience not far from my home. The hashbrown casserole and bacon rounded out the meal perfectly, creating a breakfast that was both comforting and memorable.
