    Ambience is amazing

High Five for High Dive!!! I absolutely loved this spot as soon as I step in the back door entrance. I did not know how to enter this establishment. Haha The front door is hidden, depending on where u park. I came in via the courtyard space, which is nice & spacious. Should be a great hang out area in the warmer months. Yep! The staff is so friendly and made me feel warmly welcomed. The lady that seated me was very friendly and complimenting. I decided to sit at the bar. They have electrical outlets so that is wonderful! I enjoyed a really lovely and well crafted Cortado ( $7) during my brief visit. The perfect after work caffeine boost! I already know I'll be back here real soon to try some food items and their cocktails. High Dive Lounge is pure perfection and I'm not kidding! Go check them out...You might have to park on the street though. Sorry! It's worth it!

I don't know..... this place didn't really hit it for me. So from the outside, it looks super cool. The vibe is really great. Beautiful outdoor area. We went on a Thursday around 6 PM. What bothered me the most was the seating was very tight. I felt like we were all on top of each other. The server kind of rudely told us we are in the way. I mean this is where they put the table and chairs and we sat..... In the middle of appetizers, they asked if we are staying for the band and if so, it would be $10. I mean, we really had no choice because we were in the middle of eating and the band was going to start in 30 minutes. I go out a lot and I hear a lot of bands, no one's been asking their patrons to pay for it, we were all a bit annoyed with that. Everyone who's sitting is ordering drinks, appetizers, food. I would hope that could help cover it. One of the girls in our group Her mood instantly changed when she was told to pay $10. lol. So yeah, we didn't care for that but the music was wonderful. I do want to give credit to the band. For appetizer, we ordered the deviled eggs and the popcorn chicken. Both were so delicious. I don't even know how to explain the flavors, but it was wonderful. We ordered a few different things for entrées. I ordered the milk bread with the pimento cheese. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing. It's something that I felt like I could make at home. It was very similar to my store brought pimento slapped on some toast. My friends got the rice bowl and the other got the salad. I tried the salad and it was phenomenal. It had goat cheese, pecans, dates. Delicious vinaigrette! Someone else in the group ordered the egg, cheese, bacon sandwich and she said it was really great. I ordered these soundtrack, which was a drink that made me feel like I was at the beach. I have a lot of positives to notate, but when you sort of get annoyed from the beginning, it sort of tarnishes the entire experience. I'd say if you feel claustrophobic and you don't like people on top of each other while you are eating, this may not be the place for you during a busy night.

Holy. Wow. This will be my new must-see recommendation for out-of-towners. I mean, I am truly and thoroughly, blown away. Came here for lunch to check it out. I ordered the rosemary cortado (absolutely scrumptious, and the perfect amount of coffee) and the sausage, egg, and cheese milk bread sandwich. I have never had fluffy eggs like this. The bread was so light and buttery, just perfection. Flavor was spot on. Even though the sandwich looks very egg-heavy, it's balanced and you get to taste all the flavors. The vibe is incredible. Seriously. We sat next to a cool gentleman who told us he helped them during construction on the audio and soundproofing. It shows. They put a ton of work into making sure that 1. the music sounds good and 2. the acoustics are soft, awesome, and conversation is so easy. I often dine out with some hearing impaired, older individuals whose chief complaint about restaurants is how loud they are. I'll be recommending High Dive from now on. I think the concept of having guest stars to spin music on select nights is great. And if you're feeling inspired to get into physical music media after being here, Alabama's premiere vinyl record store is right next door. How perfect. Coffee shop during the day, plenty of people there with computers set up to work for a while. Cocktail bar at night, can't wait to come back and check that out.

Interesting menu, very flavorful! We went for comedy night, had a fantastic server, he was new but prompt with menu details. Very cozy lounge with great sound system.

I'm speechless. I've been looking forward to this reservation all week, and it was so worth it!! I know it's only January, but this will definitely be a highlight restaurant of the year. We ordered the Niman Ranch Pork Katsu Japanese Milk Bread Sandwich and the rice bowl with chicken. The bowl was outstanding--so much flavor, and everything was cooked perfectly! I also really enjoyed the Katsu sandwich, which was toasted and served atop slaw with a tasty aioli. The inside feels like you're in a mid-century modern living room. The atmosphere is truly cozy, and the sound system is incredible. The menu is Japanese-inspired and offers a variety of milk bread sandwiches, bowls, skewers, hand rolls, and breakfast served all day! I've already made another reservation for next week... it was that good. No notes!

If you're a music lover, this is hands down one the greatest spots I've ever been to...This place is magical. Hundreds of thousands of dollars of expertly tuned speakers, floors are built on a cork base, & paneled walls/ceiling. High Dive has been engineered like a Hollywood music studio. Aside from the dope ass vibe, the food and service are top notch. They have weekly events and spin vinyls most nights. They are also building out an outdoor event area for future use. Date night? Coffee break? Working remote? Casual cocktail hour? If you're on the fence -- GO NOW.

Ok so this place is awesome. From the room to the food/drinks to the service, they're hitting on all cylinders. Big open space with high ceilings, lots of tables and bar seating indoors, nice outdoor area with a fire pit, lots of seats and a stage/lawn area. From the looks of the menu, it seems there's something for everyone no matter what time of day. Light or heavy, sweet or savory, coffee or booze, you'll find something you'll enjoy. Very well rounded, lots of interesting options that you may not see everywhere, and excellent execution coming out of the kitchen. I had a bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and tried the strawberry/kiwi milk bread sandwich. Both were phenomenal. I'm not a chef and I don't know how they did what they did with that egg, but wow. The strawberry/kiwi milk bread was light and not too sweet and I'd definitely order either of those sandwiches again. Not to mention the rosemary/sea salt cortado which was great as well. It's on my short list of best coffee drinks in town. There are also cocktails, wine and beer, so again, something for everyone. Order at the counter, get a number, find a seat and they'll bring your order out to you. The staff was friendly all around and stopped by the table to check in more than once. Can't ask for more. Overall this seems to be a great new spot in Bham that everyone should go and check out. The food, drinks and vibes are all on point. 5 stars.

Sitting in this creative space made me think of music class back in grade school. Remember the times where we just sat, closed our eyes, and listened to music to understand it more fully? This is a unique and immersive experience for sure! A must visit place right here in our city. For hubby and I personally, we love lofi music. How ironic that a hifi lounge has opened up to become a beautiful tour for the senses! Very interesting to also do your research into the Japanese jazz kissa culture that had made places like these possible and, obviously, very popular. Speaking of popular, make sure to come EARLY! They do *not* do reservations of any kind. When we came this past Saturday evening there was already a 2.5 HOUR WAIT at around 6pm. We were told to come closer to 5 the next try, but made it at 4 today for plenty of time (a weekday). We stayed for a good three and a half hours to eat, drink, get dessert, and contribute toward the jazz performance (charity event toward the local community). It makes sense, as this provides everyone equal opportunity to come, listen, eat, and enjoy on their own time without any pressure other guests coming right behind them. For drinks I got the Soundcheck. Light and smoky. I also got the tuna hand roll (each roll on menu is raw, not cooked if that is an issue for you), hubby got the breakfast burrito (huge!) and for dessert we got the chocolate tart. He originally got the High Dive burger but it was unfortunately undercooked. Staff was very helpful to provide something else and overall everything was great! 5/5!

    Egg sando

We came in with low expectations, but this place was actually really good! We ordered the egg sando, katsu sando, and rice bowl with salmon. And everything was delicious! It's a little bit on the expensive side, and the inside is a little bit cramped. The food runners seem a little confused bc of the small table numbers they gave us. But other than that, the vibes were good and the food was ever better!

High Dive offers a relaxed and thoughtfully curated atmosphere that's ideal for unwinding and enjoying music and fellowship. The space is comfortable and well designed, with seating that encourages you to settle in and focus on the music without distractions. Tonight was packed and they had stopped standing room service not long after we got there and said the wait was 2-3 hours for a table. We didn't order food due to already eating, but will be sure to try on the next visit. Micah Kelley was on the turntables tonight. Overall, it's a pleasant place to listen, and enjoy a laid-back experience centered around music.

High Dive offers delicious and elevated small plates, amazing music and warm ambiance (whether inside or out). Came for brunch, again, and HighDive did not disappoint. Warm weather means outside spaces are open and ready for business. We sat outside and enjoyed the bubbling fountain and intimate cafe' seating. What venue is open and offering breakfast through late night, and can do it all so well?!This is my 4th time to visit High Dive and the food is consistently good. Today's service was a little slow, but I attribute to growing pains.High Dive is "the spot" and crowds are growing each day. If you love great music, warm ambiance, tasty bites and drinks (espresso to cocktails), give High Dive a try.

    Bacon egg and cheese sandwich

High Dive is an AMAZING addition to the neighborhood, the vibes are 10/10 along with the menu. There are a few things I believe need to be tweaked though... there are only a handful of full size table tops and we were sat in low top tables with chairs basically on the floor. The tables are too small to comfortably order food and drinks. They are also a NO CASH establishment which was very disappointing to us as we were not told in advance. Other than that we had a very nice time trying the menu and enjoying the music. I want to come back for breakfast as the best thing we had was the breakfast sandwich. Love that it's breakfast all day though!!

Fun, new addition to the Lakeview Marina! Acoustics are amazing in the listening lounge. Lots of drink and food options. There are plenty of bar and table seating. They have a heated courtyard so you can enjoy outside even on a chilly night. I want to come again during the day and get some work done here!

Ask the Community - High Dive HiFi Lounge

    How do we make reservations?

I've been twice and just walked in. No indication that reservations are required.

Do you take reservations? I cannot find a link. Thanks.

Hi Rosa, we are walk in only. No reservations at this time. We look forward to seeing you!

What is the difference between reserving for the "Lounge" versus the "Bar"?

Hi Winston, the bar refers to the barstools up at the bar. The lounge is a combination of our traditional dining seating and our soft lounge furniture. Thanks!
