If you are going to use wood to flavor your food during cooking, you've got to have a good quality…read morewood to enhance the flavor without any nasty stuff like creosote that you get from wet, damp or contaminated wood. To get good results, you have to pay attention to the details. Just like a quality thermometer to pull that brisket at the right time, you need quality clean burning dry wood. I have a box of Smoak Firewood cherry, white oak, hickory and pecan at the ready at all times, if I get an urge to grill out or smoke on my PK360 or Cookshack. Every box appears to be hand picked, and clean and fresh but most importantly it's kiln dried. Having several boxes at the ready allows me to pick and match the wood to the thing I'm cooking. The owner Amy and staff are incredible folks that can answer any questions you have and even provide appropriately sized pieces. I'd much rather give my money to a local small business like this. If I'm remembering right, I believe they also supply several restaurants with cooking wood. This wood is even packaged so nice, it would be a great gift for a foodie! If you need some on a Saturday or while in Newnan or Sharpsburg it's also available at Cleaver & Cork.

Over 30 years of ordering firewood I've burned a lot. Most recently I ordered from Smoak who…read morepromptly delivered extra length wood, provided a measured face cord of oak, and stacked it neatly, very neatly. It was a little more expensive than some, but the quality is better than anything I've had before. Why does that matter? It starts easily but burns much longer. The pieces aren't from a trash tree, no rotten sections, perfectly split and clean. My full wood rack will last much longer than the cheaper products I've used in the past. I am a huge fan.

Absolutely amazing service by Jeremy & his crew. I got 18-20 quotes to remove 10+ trees from our…read morebackyard & I found Jeremy best in terms of his professionalism and soft attitude. His quote covers minute detail & he takes time to explain each & everything about the process. His polite & pleasing appearance amazed us. Still I hired a different tree company who gave a cheap quote but I realized that was my worst decision. That company postpone their dates multiple times & disappeared after removing 2 trees & damaged my property & many items. After that I requested Jeremy to complete the remaining tree removal & they did a wonderful job. Jeremy and his crew were absolutely amazing. The equipment they brought was state of the art. Each worker was highly skilled, and as a team, they were really something to watch. There were 4 huge pine tree & 6/7 maple cluster they removed. It was a tricky job. Their tree removal process is amazing. Crane crew is expert to grab the tree when Chris was cutting the tree & move it to other side. Fantastic Bobcat guy was grabbing the tree & pushing it to shredder. Another cool guy was helping for cleaning & grinding the stump. Chris who was cutting the tree is a great foreman. The clean up after the work is excellent. All crew were very patient & not at all frustrated after long work in full sun (95+ degree F) & they take care of everything. We highly recommend & shout for Southern scapes & their name says it all! 3 cheers to them & a BIG THANKS.

We had gotten a recommendation for this company from neighbors who had used them last year. We…read morecontacted them to get an estimate. Their rep who stopped by listened to what we wanted and made helpful recommendations. We decided to go with them. Scheduling took a couple of weeks, mostly due to weather. Obviously rain and very cold temperatures will affect when they can do the work. However they were great about keeping in contact and trying to pick the earliest practical date. They arrived in the window specified and did all the work as planned in about 6 hours (that varies per job, obviously). This included removing 3 older Bradford pear trees, cutting down a couple of tall pines that were closer to our house than desired, and trimming back a cherry tree and a crape myrtle. They also cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Pricing seemed fair. I would definitely call them again if we needed more tree work done.

Amazing company. They are quite busy, so may have to wait 2 or 3 weeks but so worth it. I had them…read moreremove a very large dead pine tree. I just had my back yard resolved last year so did not want any damage done to it. I chose King mainly because they use a large crane, not a bucket truck. The crane was situated where it could extend the boom arm out a large distance and was use to sling the large tree sections to and then hoisted around to my driveway. Never touching my sod. I highly recommend these guys. Very professional. Cleanup was a ten plus. They even used a large gas powered lawn vacuum machine to make sure everything was removed.
