The reservation we had with Cabins for You was for 3 nights at the Mountain Dreams on 5/8 - 5/11…read more Upon arrival we were hit with one issue after another. To start, the door access code did not work as provided. I proceeded to call for support and after several minutes of on hold was able to talk with a representative. She was able to get us inside with a series of override codes. However, when we were inside there was a smoke detector going off. I still had the representative on the phone so she was able to contact a maintenance technician to come and assist. The maintenance man arrives, and after basic checks was told from his dispatch to call the Fire Department for further investigation. The fire department arrives and inspects the property for any gas or CO but concludes the issue lies with the detector being faulty. We were told this property could not be rented and we would need to move locations. At this point it was close to 11 PM and we have to unpack everything from the house and reload the vehicles while the alternative property is identified. The representative provided 2 options, of which we chose the Chestnut Mountain Lodge property. We were thankful for the option to be relocated in the middle of the night, however upon arrival to the alternative accommodation we were sadly presented with a far inferior property, of which we would never have rented or spent the time driving for this vacation, and left the property a day early due to the severe disappointment. It is hard to comprehend how the Chestnut Mountain Lodge is considered rentable for anything other than a college fraternity party, let alone a family vacation. The differences between these two properties, although similar in square footage, were so much that I feel significant compensation should be provided given the compounding issue since stepping foot on the first property. Discussions with a supervisor on 5/11 resulted in an offer for a $200 voucher for another stay at a Cabins for You property. This would only cause more costs for us to make another 5 hr trip, of which we have no intention to do. The next offer was a $300 Visa card, which in no way provides a way to replenish our bank account for the lost $1,800 for our initial reservation. The worst part of all of this is the runarounds and excuses why a refund cannot be given. In my experience in property management and customer services, Cabins for You needs a major overhaul in their management, and I will be sure to provide honest reviews and feedback on other platforms, allowing potential vacationers to be warned before booking a reservation with Cabins for You.

If you live in a flat state like I do and are not used to driving on mountain roads, you may want to ensure you arrive before dark. We needed a place for family from both Chicago and Tampa, FL to meet and this was the perfect spot. Once we arrived, it was a nice surprise to find this spacious, clean and comfortable home on the side of a cliff. From the front driveway, the home appears smaller. But once you enter, you are greeted by a beautiful vaulted ceiling, well kept hardwood floors and inviting, open spaces. The 3 bathrooms were all very nicely decorated and we love the large, updated showers. The bear decor throughout the house we stayed in is so charming and the kitchen is very well stocked. It was a treat having a hot tub to sit in after a long day of hiking. We also appreciated the pet friendly accommodations. We've rented VRBO houses before and always end up bringing our own hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper. But the host provided plenty of these items for our entire 3 night stay. We had a gracious host and he was a great communicator. Sadly, we did not see any bears during our stay but witnessed amazing views of the city lights, moon, stars and sunrise from the decks. The swing on the porch, pool table, ice maker and washer dryer are added bonuses too. We highly recommend this area, if you can drive on the challenging mountain curves, Great Gatlinburg getaway!

I encountered several issues that made my stay uncomfortable, including: * Smell - Mold/Mildew/Smoke - very stale and irritating allergens - it was hard to even stay inside the smell was so offensive * Jacuzzi tub - black grit/dirt coming out of faucet with water; loud squealing noise in pipes? * Hot Tub - green slime in tub, odd chemical smell - not related to chlorine products * Tub/Shower - brown water coming out of faucet for extended period of time * TV remote would not work * Yellow stained sheets, smelling of smoke All of these were discovered upon check-in. It appeared that the cabin may not have been used for some time and wasn't updated for guest arrival. We attempted to eliminate the odor with sprays/disinfectants that we had to go and purchase. We then attempted to use the hot tub, jets would not stay on and there appeared to be some sort of slime in the tub. Upon exiting the hot tub, we tried the jacuzzi tub to rinse the slime off; that water was just as bad, then attempted to shower only to find it much worse. We gave the cabin a chance even though we weren't happy upon arrival. Things just progressively got worse. This was such a disappointment for our Anniversary stay. We travel often and have rented cabins in a variety of areas across the country. Older/aged cabins are common to us; this was well below expectations and description. We unfortunately did not trust that we would be able to seek resolution at 10pm and chose to check into a cabin owned by a different company. We did not get settled until well after midnight somewhere else and lost so much time.

The service is extremely kind and helpful. Note, If you're staying via RCI, there is $180 house keeping fee per room. Any extra amenities like toilet tissue and paper towels etc. I would stay here again. There was a warning that bears can break into your car if you leave food in your car. However, thus far we've not seen one. So enjoying this beautiful place nestled within the mountains.

Cherise, our agent, undervalued our property according to other real estate agents. She was negligent in her responsibilities throughout the process. She did not follow up on whether the escrow money was in place within the time limit. We had to ask the title company. At that point the contract had been breached and the property should have reverted back to us, but Cherise only cared about her commission rather than her customer notifying the buyer who then wired the funds. As time went on, we felt she was not adequately representing us, but rather the buyer. We requested to speak with the broker Mr. Reece. Our request was ignored. I literally had to remind her of what she needed to do with respect to amendments to the agreement. We had issues with the buyer who for a second time breached he contract and asked Cherise what our options were. This request was also ignored as was a request for the written requests for extension from the buyer. Cherise did not follow the agreement, in fact seemed clueless to what it said. She accepted an unacceptable method of notification for a written extension and was clueless about the closing date requirements, as well as, when she needed to initiate and amendment to the Agreement. Mr. Reece was on copy to all the email communication. We requested a reduction in fee from Mr. Reece, the broker, based on inadequate representation and the fact we had to lead Cherise by the hand. That request was ignored. The title company stepped in at the end and took over assisting us. I have been through several real estate closings and I have never seen such incompetence in my life. This isn't sour grapes. I spent 26 years writing, negotiating, modifying and administering contractual agreements.

There's trash all around the property. The views are beautiful here but the owner I'm guessing doesn't care much about the property! Last year we payed $1,300 for the weekend this year we payed $2,609 dollars for a cabin that wasn't super clean! Please for the love of god check out the next door cabin yes it's $700 something a night but the property looks super clean, property is named Beyond Heaven by heavens cabins. Vacasa Tennessee shame on you for not letting me know about this prior to my arrival. We've been staying with Outrageous Cabind for over 20 years (before it was Outrageous.) This was…read morewhere we spent our honeymoon (well Gburg actually - in an old run down cabin that wasn't theirs). I don't even know if this place was around then. That was 41 years ago but we spent time up here for our 40th anniversary this year - using them exclusively since we found them about 20 years ago. I think the ownership went thru change since we've been coming here but we exclusively and use them at least 3-4 times a year. Their special for last minute trips is incredible. After 20 years, 3-4 times a year (so we've stayed in most of them), each one has always been clean as a whistle. We have figured that we have stayed with them over 60 trips. At least. We've never stayed with anyone else the past 20 years! Our favorite place is at the top of the mountain at the water tower. However three of the four we always stayed at and liked the best, all but one was burned down in the Gatlinburg Fire of 2016. It burned down to their concrete footprint. They finally got one of them rebuilt and just opened back up so we are leaving Friday to go there. It's at the very top of the mountain and you can see for miles and miles. Yet it is only 5 min from the Parkway, behind Dollywood. You would think a cabin on the to of the mountain with its incredible view would be miles from the Parkway but it's only a short 5-8 minutes. I can never praise their staff enough. They are awesome people to work with. Some of our favorite restaurants we never miss are the Applewood for bfast, Guy Fieri's restaurant and arcade ( this is awesome and relatively new and great to go because there is a Crumbl and Ice Cream shop next door that are for that sweet tooth we always seem to get worse up there), Chop House, Cherokee Grill (Gburg), Ogles Farmers Kitchen ( I think this is the name. It right close to going in for Applewood. We've just recently found this and have been multiple times), The Pottery Barn Cafe is usually our first place we hit coming into town. There is also Paula Deens, Chop House, and Johnny Carino's. This is just for starters. Stay here and you won't regret it!!!
