We were at site #14 right on the creek than runs through campground. They have a sweet deal if your local for seasonal use. We were from out of town, not full time RV but travel throughout US six months out of the year. If you go here don't forget to get some of the fresh fruit and tomatoes in season. We got huge heirloom tomatoes for 3 for $1. Unbelievable, they were so good. Reasonably priced, we paid $49 a night! Sell good dry firewood too!

We found all the staff at Eagle's Nest to be very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. We had about 15 rigs, and rented one cabin. Paul placed us in sites very near each other, and close to the pavilion which perfectly met our needs for the event. The pavilion near the creek, with electricity, lighting, a nearby restroom, and running water, was a great set-up for our group meetings and meals. Paul even set up a fire ring near the pavilion for our evening campfire and music. The camp facilities were very clean and level, with full services at each site. The restaurant on site (Fireside Inn) has an extensive menu. Try the cauliflower soup ... it is FABULOUS. Eagles Nest is conveniently located near Cumberland, MD - a great local tourism spot with museums, shops, restaurants, and a scenic railroad ride. The campground is still a work in progress and we look forward to going back to see how it is coming along. Paul has a great vision for further improvements and is working hard toward that end. With a mix of seasonal and transient residents, most in self-contained units, there is little need for public facilities. Some in our group might have preferred a public bathhouse (in future development plan), but the lack of a public bathhouse would not prevent our return. Happy trails ...

We had a great experience at Eagle's Nest September 2019, our 39th annual 'Rolling Thunder' rally. The camping, accommodations, food and entertainment were some of the best we have enjoyed. I had made reservations for next year for a week over the 4th of July, but unfortunately I canceled it because I was wearing a swimsuit that looked like shorts and tangtop and was told I had to have a cover on if walking around. My swimsuit isn't revealing and covers me unlike some of the one I've seen. I won't be ever coming back here again they lost my business for good.

Most, if not all, of the sites are nicely graded and flat so setup is easy. We didn't use the toilets or showers since we were in a small motor home but as nice as everything else is, I can't imagine that they would be anything but perfect. We saw campground staff going several times throughout the day to clean the facilities. We had a very enjoyable several days at Seven Points Campground and plan to return this Spring.

In the summer time it can be very busy there but the lake and having so many different things to do you don't feel like it's packed everyone's doing there thing. They have a beach area and slides to enjoy with family. If you're not from around here the first thing you should do is stop at the visitor center to get a little idea of the area. They have maps, souvenirs, you can also go on a guided tour (hiking or boating). The history of Raystown is very interesting and thought I was born and raised it still fascinates me.

Although nothing bit them. No one that was fishing yesterday caught anything. Oh well on to the next lake. If anyone can recommend a good fishing hole in, or close to Berkely County, WV or near MD/PA line, please let me know.

Looking around didn't see even one minnow. I went to 2 other sections of shore line and walked about a quarter mile on each and never saw even one minnow. No minnows no fish. Not my place to bother with.
