Disappointed in the job Trish did on my 17 year old daughter's hair. We went in person for Trish to see my daughter's shoulder length hair and to make an appointment and get pricing a month in advance. We asked for a layered haircut and the lower section of her hair, about a third of her hair to be bleached and dyed dark blue. She repeated what we wanted several times and then said for everything in total would be $120. I asked what that included and she confirmed it was the cut, bleach and color on the lower half portion of hair. She was very confident when I asked if I could see some of her work. She said she "didn't have time for pictures but we should look at her reviews". We did so and they were great reviews so we excitedly made and appointment. On the day of the appointment we arrived 15 minutes before the appointment it was only us and someone getting a trim in the chair next to us. We said we were there for the appointment and what we were expecting to be done, she had to check if she had blue dye even though we confirmed what was getting done a month before. she did have some. Once Trish started the bleaching process some of her family came in and 3 of them wanted their hair done, some highlights and one with bleach and purple dye. They didn't have an appointment and Trish was the only one working now. While we waited for the bleaching process Trish started highlighting one of her relatives hair. Then finished the bleaching on my daughter's hair and started the dark blue dye. She did the color then rinsed it but instead of dark blue it was light green. Then she did the haircut and reapplied the color a second time and then rinsed it. It was blue now but the hair was not evenly saturated in color it looked like she should have done it again until is was completely colored evenly, at least thats what we expected from a professional. When I mentioned and showed her the uneven color she said "it would be like that" and gave us a small amount of shampoo with a little bit of the blue dye mixed in and said for her to "use this the first time she washed her hair and it would get brighter". I didn't understand how that would fix the issue but she clearly didn't want to continue working on my daughters hair until it was done correctly and she was in a hurry to do the other three peoples hair even though they didn't have an appointment. So I proceeded to the register to pay the $120 and a tip however she gave me a total of $185 l mentioned that she said it would be $120 for the cut bleach and color her response was "I could have charged you more look at my rates on Booksy" which was never mentioned before. she in person, verbally gave us a price and didn't mention rates anywhere. When I asked what we were charged for she said "cut, bleach, and color two times" I didn't understand getting charged for her needing to reapply the color and mentioned that but she just said yes she charges for that. I didn't want to argue with her so l payed the $185 no tip. The pictures say it all, I feel if she wasn't in a hurry to move on to the people who didn't have an appointment, she would have done a better job. read more

Jen (Jennifer) is an absolute sweetheart. I went in for a consultation, cut, balayage, and style. I could really tell that she took her time in her work and made sure that it was up to her standards. Jen and the other stylists were very kind and offered great hospitality, asking me if I wanted anything to drink or a snack. Chairs were a bit outdated, but nothing major. Salon was well-maintained, clean and the area was organized. I laid out what I wanted to do with my hair and Jen also was super helpful in making suggestions. If you have any questions, just ask! I can tell that she takes pride in her work and I am so glad I found a stylist so passionate about hair. Overall, I am happy with my cut and color. One thing that I somewhat regret is that the crown of my head is warmer than I originally anticipated. From start to finish, it was about 3.5 hours. I made an appointment through an app right before they opened and they got me in right away. This was my first time at Hidden Beauty Salon, but they made it seem like they knew me for a long time. Which was really nice because I was NERVOUS! I wanted a change because I had black virigin hair, long and coarse. I wanted something that would POP and give some dimensions to my braids. Definitely got that when I saw the end result of my hair. It definitely caught me by surprise, but I think it was because I was not used to seeing myself with lighter hair. But when I was sitting there, staring at myself while she was doing the final touches (trimming, curling, ect.) I was in utter shock. I think she saw my face and could tell that something was wrong, but told me if I wanted to make it a darker tone or lighter tone, she would gladly do it, which made me feel better. Let me point out that i have lots of very thick hair. So it took about two hours to apply the bleach to my hair, but she didn't complain at all. There were more customers coming in and out of the salon while processing my hair and she stayed focused and calm. She is very professional. In conclusion, I am in love with my hair. Hidden Beauty Salon is a Gem. This was a great experience and I am happy I decided to come here. read more
