He let us come to his farm to hand-pick the flowers we wanted to use, and it was great to talk through all of our options. Alfredo and Hidalgo Flowers were an absolute godsend! It was such a pleasure working with Alfredo. Immediately upon meeting him, we could tell that he loves what he does. After finding Hidalgo Flowers on Yelp, my wife gave him a call and arranged to meet him at the Temecula Farmer's Market only 4 months away from our wedding day. When we met, we provided him with some inspiration pictures for some arch florals we needed done. He easily identified the flower used in the picture we showed him and he was quickly able to come up with what flowers and greenery he could use from what he had available for our arch florals. We felt like we were in very good hands with Alfredo. 3 months before our wedding date, my wife and I found out that our original florist, who was going to make the arrangements for our centerpieces and personal flowers, fell through. We needed to find someone who would be able to make 14 centerpiece arrangements, 4 mini arrangements for our cocktail tables, and loose florals to decorate garland and our cake. We reached out to Alfredo to set up a meeting at his shop. We showed him the picture of the centerpiece sample our first florist created for us. He saw it and told us he could create it with his eyes closed. He was confident that he could recreate the arrangement of us. He has been doing this for 30+ years and knew what size would be appropriate for all the arrangements we needed. We had complete faith in him. There were several changes my wife and I had to make along the way, and Alfredo was so accommodating with everything we threw his way. He is without a doubt, one of the nicest people we've ever met and never complained about any of the changes. In the days leading up to our wedding day, Alfredo contacted us to confirm the final details and provided information regarding the pick up. On the morning of the wedding, the pick up was seamless and everything was ready and waiting for us. His employees even helped load the florals into our cars. Easy family business to work with! I was assigned to put together a "build your own bouquet" table for an event. It was my first time doing something like this, and we were on a time crunch, so I was stressing for weeks about what my best option was in terms of pricing & how to transport/deliver flowers and keep the alive. I ended up finding Hidalgo's on google and called ahead to inquire. They were super helpful and patient throughout my process. I was able to come down to the farm on a weekday (the same day I called) to pick out my flowers and place my order. Then, the owner offered to have my order available at his booth at the Temecula Farmer's Market on Saturday morning so it'd be easier for me to pick up AND so that the flowers would be as fresh as possible for the event Sunday. It felt pricier than I was used to seeing at local grocery stores, but honestly for BULK flowers (the freshest flowers I've ever seen, seriously photos don't do em justice), it was worth it. It saved me the time/hassle of running around to different stores myself and trying to keep them alive until the weekend. All I had to do was pick from their beautiful selection, place my order, and pick them up right before event day (already packed into two watered buckets which they lent and loaded into the car for me). But if you are willing to go to their site for pickup, and want to save a LOT of money, keep reading. I read on a lot of wedding sites you can go cheap with Costco or Sams, but they will give you more bang for your buck. A family member got married two years ago and she did her own flowers which turned out beautifully. She purchased them from Hidalgo Flowers which is how I got the recommendation. I am not really the crafty type, but I also didn't want to spend an absurd amount on flowers for my wedding. I'm also a music lover, so my centerpieces were going to be scrolls of sheet music in vases with greenery around them. Of course I still wanted fresh flowers for myself and the bridesmaids and the corsages. We met with Alfredo and I showed him a picture similar to what I envisioned. He took us through the warehouse to show me different flowers and greenery. Here is the weird part-these guys are totally old school. No fancy office and chairs. No emails and computer invoices. He took our order on notebook paper with carbon paper so we could each have a copy. And you know what? It works. He keeps his coats down. He knows what he's doing. And he took a down payment of $20. Not half, or all. A handshake and twenty bucks. Who does that? The only thing I didn't like at first is that he was hard to get ahold of. It's better to text with him. I think part of it is the language barrier but his English is still way better than my Spanish! But rest assured, he will answer you and he will do a fantastic job. He was helpful in choosing the right flowers and even told us how we could make the greenery into wreaths if we wanted to. When I got married I decided to reach out to Alfredo as my florist. He asked me a few simple questions about my colors, particular flowers I may want, and then had a vision from there for my floral arrangements. His arrangements are always beautiful so I knew I could trust him with this! The flowers were fresh, fragrant, and the price was right. He worked with me to manage my floral payments. Each time I would make a payment he would greet me with excitement and often would offer me a beautiful baby bouquet to take home. The baby bouquets always got me more excited to see my wedding flowers. My wedding was the same week as a major fire in San Diego County (where Alfredo is from). Alfredo was evacuated for several days before my wedding BUT still went home to make my arrangements in the midst of chaos. I can't thank you enough, Alfredo.
