The people who work here are friendly and very knowledgeable about their products. Last year I was in Home Depot in Manchester picking up some trim molding. It seemed a little expensive. I called White Mountain Lumber to compare prices. I got Evie(super cute!) on the phone and when she gave me the price, I almost fainted! Buying it at White Mountain lumber paid for my gas on one trip from Manchester to Berlin, a trip I was frequently making at the time. Then it dawned on me. With Berlin quickly becoming a tourist destination with the 1000 mile Ride the Wilds" trail system exploding in popularity, people are traveling there from all over New England with trailers behind their trucks and SUV's. You are also only minutes from the Appalachian Trail, great fishing, jaw dropping scenery, kayaking, snowmobiling - the Berlin area has it all! Why not get some lumber from the great north woods for your home - and help pay for your travel expenses with the savings? You will make the great north woods part of your home! I had a hard time getting keys made in the Berlin area - most of them didn;'t work. When I have keys made at White Mountain Lumber - they always work! I joined my family here at the end of 2013, and when the Spring mowing season started for 2014, I realized there was no discharge chute (it's convertible between discharge and mulching). It was supposed to come with one, but didn't. I stopped by the store to ask if they could order a replacement. The owner said that he remembered seeing one kicking around the store, but if he couldn't find it he would bring one from his own mower at home. When I stopped back in, he said the part was on order but hadn't arrived yet, so he simply handed me the chute from a mower he had for sale. No questions, no charge!

We had such an amazing time glamping at Bear Rock. The Grand Tent was beautiful, plenty of room for…read morefour. The views were spectacular. The tents come with one queen size bed and two twins. The wood stove kept the inside nice and warm during the cool nights. Outside there were Adirondack chairs, a fire pit and charcoal grill. The porta-potty was spotless, and even though we never used the outdoor shower, it was clean and looked very fun. Our weekend package came with a UTV rental. Jamie with Bear Rock took the time to go over everything with the rental, explain the vehicle and what the rules are. He also had trips loaded into the navigation so we could pick from trips that were easy to intermediate. We chose a 4-6 hour loop that took us from Colebrook, into VT, next to Canada and through Pittsburg. We stopped at their main store in Pittsburg, everyone was super nice. It did rain for the second half of the trip, and we were very wet by the time we made it back to the tent, but overall we had a great time. I highly recommend the stay and play package, well worth the money for the experiences you get.
