I've never received such poor service from a store. How bad does an establishment have to be to allow their employees (intentional or not) to pack returned/used items to fulfill an order. We get to that cluster-f@ck of an intersection, also known as the intersection of 'Northern Parkway / Your Road' (congestion city) and I realize F*@! we're never gonna find parking. So ... fast forward - 20 minutes later, we find a spot (YAY) Okay - we go inside and it is TIGHT!!!!!! ( I don't mean, fly & dope 'tight'. I mean, you'll be sayin lots of 'excuse me's" to get by the person that is invariably in your way). It's THAT close in there. Whatever ... get over that. We take a couple seats in the waiting area. I get called to the master barber's chair - RIGHT UP FRONT! I HATE being up front! All eyes on me & shyt - like I'm at some dayum hair exhibition show and he's trying new techniques for ALL to see. To thank you! Needless to say, I ummm ... 'nonplused'. Fine. So i'm sitting there and the usual banter happens and he asks what cut I want - i tell him and the cut begins. So 10 minutes INTO the cut, he tells me to 'go get my head shampooed by the shampoo girl. It's a feature they offer and I'll 'LOVE IT'. .... ummm WHAT?!?!?! I'm getting a shampoo AFTER you started cutting and I have hair all over my apron and it will get on my clothing by walking down the hall to get the shampoo?!?! Ummm ... REALLY, man?!?!? Now, this annoyed me not only for the reasons i just mentioned, BUT I intentionally washed my hair before I came (thus ensuring a clean cut w/ no product in the hair - so my sh#t was ALREADY clean!!) Whatever - I meander to the 'wash area' and there is a LINE of dudes waiting to get their head shampooed by ONE GIRL!!! WHAT?!!?! And every dude was just like me - already into their haircuts, covered in hair ... RIDICULOUS!!! It's finally my turn and I will say - the shampoo girl did give a nice head massage but then those press-on nails of hers started ripping into my scalp and I had to ask her to ease up. She finishes up, rinses me, hands me a towel and tells me to "get up and go back to the chair" for my cut. WHAT kinda jack-leg establishment is this place. DAYUM, this must be the most AWESOME cut I'm about to get bc all this Tomfoolery ain't workin for me. I return to my chair and the barber finishes drying me off and begins cutting. "DUDE - you CANNOT cut a wet, damp head w/ electric CLIPPERS and expect to get an even cut"!!!! WTF are you doing?!? And you're a Master Barber? You sure 'bout that? Anyway ... his hands were shaking the entire time - which did NOTHING to allay my trepidation. So what was the end result? A cut that looked like I gave myself a cut, while being blind-folded, while drunk .... NO SIR!!!! Never again ... sorry. BUT ... that isn't the worst of it... As I mentioned, I went w/ my buddy so my saving grace was that I KNEW his cut was gonna be perfect and I'd be a lil jealous but that'd be okay bc then the trip wasn't a complete waste of my Saturday... So here he comes walkin down the hall from his cut and ... **blink blink** (silence fell on the entire shop. Barbers looked at his head, customers looked at his head and then I looked at his head ... "YO!!!!!!! WTF?!??! I asked, "Are 'Kid'n Play' in town doing a remake to their uproarious flick, 'House Party' or maybe they were shooting a scene from A Different World- the After Years' somewhere !!!
