When I walked up to the counter one employee was obviously done with her shift and heading for the door. She was the only employee visible. After gathering up a few things she departed and then made mention of the fact that I was standing there to staff that wasn't visible. I stood there a good 3 more minutes before anyone came to take my order, making it nearly 5 minutes from the time I reached the counter with no one else in front of me. After placing my order (I felt like an intrusion) I got my drink and sat while my Albuquerque Turkey was being made. I was the only customer in the restaurant. My sandwich came out in less than 10 minutes, which makes sense since I was the only person there. I saw a staff member exactly once more after I got my food, and that was to give someone a Cinnabon. I must have sat at the table for 15 to 20 minutes and at no time did anyone come out to clean up the several dirty tables or to address the nearly full trash. This wasn't, by any means, the best visit to a Schlotzsky's I've ever had and the service was lacking, but it was a quick stop on my way to somewhere else.

Our first time ever eating at Jersey Mike's in Glasgow, KY was an absolute disaster, and after…read moretonight, we will NEVER be back. We walked in and were immediately greeted with, "What do you want?" We explained that we had never eaten at Jersey Mike's before and needed a minute to figure out what we wanted. Apparently, taking 60 seconds to look at the menu was too much to ask. Within about 30 seconds, we were being pushed to order. We were also told they were out of white bread, which was no big deal. The attitude, however, was. When my sandwich was ready to be dressed, I asked for cheese. The blonde male employee rudely informed me that the cheese was already on it and was underneath the meat. Since this was our FIRST TIME eating here, I obviously didn't know how they prepared the sandwiches. Instead of simply explaining it, he chose to be rude about it. At the register, I explained that the three of us were together. I was asked what my husband and son had ordered. I didn't know because they were still talking to the employees and I wasn't going to interrupt them. The employee then made a comment about it being time for her to leave, as if we were personally responsible for holding her up. Then came the ridiculous sandwich mix-up. There were three of us in line: me, my son, and my husband. My sandwich was made first. The next sandwich was assumed to be my son's, so my son told the employee what toppings he wanted. We then discovered that sandwich was actually my husband's. Instead of simply saying, "Oops, this is actually your husband's sandwich," the employee removed the toppings my son had requested. Before throwing them away, he actually held the wadded-up toppings in his hand and asked my husband if he wanted them put on his sandwich. My husband said no. Then the employee rudely asked my son, "Why did you tell me what to put on his sandwich?" My son explained that he thought the sandwich was his. The employee huffed and rolled his eyes. Let me be clear: mistakes happen. We aren't upset because a sandwich got mixed up. We are upset because of the absolutely terrible customer service and the disrespectful attitudes from multiple employees. We were first-time customers. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, we were rushed, spoken to rudely, rolled eyes at, and made to feel like we were an inconvenience. If this is how Jersey Mike's in Glasgow treats people who are trying their restaurant for the first time, they shouldn't be surprised when those customers never return. The food might be good, but no sandwich is worth being treated like that. We will take our business somewhere else.

Now for the Food. I was impressed. Good Mediterranean food in Louisville is rare. My wife and I stopped in for lunch and the food delivered. She ordered a chicken gyro. Her fries came out fresh and seasoned. Her sandwich was the best gyro we have had in Louisville. I ordered the Sparta bowl lunch portion. Fresh, flavorful, and balanced. Nothing negative to say. Overall. If you have not been here you should make time to visit. Nobody is perfect so here is my minor nitpick. I ordered a Sparta bowl and did not get a fork. I walked back up and grabbed one. If that is the worst problem they have, they are doing something right. I look forward to going back.

Wanted to check it out because of the positive reviews. I ordered the southwest chicken with green beans and tater tots and my friend ordered the club sandwich with Mac n cheese. The chicken was okay. It was a bit salty with the cheese and mushrooms. Tots were from a bag as are the fries (I saw them in the plastic). While dining, someone came in for pickup and they had obviously been there before and I heard them say they love the burgers. My friend's club had a thick cut of ham and he said he enjoyed the sandwich. Great service. The server was on top of the drinks and was friendly. One thing of note is they do pass the credit card fees to the customer. But, they let you know before you pay (instead of just adding it to the bill). This is a practice that many establishments have taken to that really runs me the wrong way. I give it a 3.5/5 for food. 5/5 for service and 3.5/5 for ambiance.

My son and I both wanted to try the brisket so he got the platter and I chose the sandwich. I was told they make most of the sides that aren't fried options such as tater tots, which I was happy about. They had the classic barbecue sauce on the table as well as a spicy option. Both were equally delicious. My sandwich came on Texas toast, which is a fave. The portions were a great value as they do not skimp! The fried potatoes are made in house and they were delicious. Even though they don't make the onion rings in house they were also quite good. My one disappointment was, they don't make the majority of their desserts. And the menu states that their daughter-in-law Kayle makes different desserts daily and they didn't have that. They were actually out of several desserts, which was disappointing. Since the only ones they had were not ones made in house I chose to not get one. Since we live 3 1/2 hours away I guess I'll have to give it another shot for the dessert option next time around. Overall, the place was terrific and the folks were friendly. They have a salad bar in the middle of the floor, which is a nice touch.
