The spring on our door busted. The tech came out and he was awesome. He noticed that the one spring that we had replaced last fall was defective and he replaced both for the same price!!! Our garage door is so quiet we can hardly hear it shut now where it banged down loudly before. That's what made him check the spring out and noticed it was bad. My heavy double car garage door broke on a Friday. I called them and they were open on a Saturday to answer the phone. They gave honest prices right over the phone. They were able to come right away Monday. They were early! The installer kept in touch by phone and promptly finished the job for the quoted price. They were TOP NOTCH. We purchased a Liftmaster 8155W garage door opener from this company. It worked for about 4 months and then quit working properly. They came out to work on it. It worked for a week. They came out again and put a whole new unit on. It worked one day and quit. It was late Friday PM and they would not send anyone out. They are supposed to be out on Monay AM. They said it was a signal issue. Never buy anything from this company. read more

I explained the issue in detail when I set up the appointment. At the time of scheduling the appointment there was no mention of a travel fee of $70-85 just to come out. Once they arrived the tech did not have an adequate ladder and had to use mine (also did not put it away when he left). They ran the program cycle per the troubleshooting guidelines and then proceeded to say it was a board issue without troubleshooting anything else or listening to me when I asked about the troubleshoot steps in the owners manual. I get that this is their job, but to not even try the troubleshooting steps seems odd. They then wanted to charge me $180+ for the board and installation. They would have to order the board and come back to install. When asked if they could check on getting the part under warranty the answer was simply no. I called Customer support for the garage door while the tech put together their invoice and they are sending me the part for free within a week. As the tech left they peeled out of the drive and proceeded to speed down the road. I do not recommend using this company. read more

Called to schedule an appointment to help with a garage door motor gone bad. Wouldn't open. I was told to be home between 8-10 am. Took off work to be there. And by 9:30 I decided to call and find out where the technician was, ok and behold, he was called to "an emergency". Not like my situation was an emergency, but when a company promises something, I kind of expect them to follow through. All they had to do was call and let me know, that's it. Long story short...stay away Yelpers! Any company that considers their customers time isn't important, gets no business of mine. My 2 cents. read more

In Oct, ACS installed a garage door opener (via HSA Home Warranty). By late May, the wall mounted panel stopped functioning (all other remote openers are functioning). Contact ACS, they say parts are still under warranty. They send out a technician who determines the issue is with the circuit board. Suddenly, ACS is saying that I have to go back through HSA rather than them working under the Lift Master warranty. Got into a heated discussion with them. They say, because they were a second-hand provider for HSA, the warranty would go under HSA. I asked, "You guys installed what you claim is a new Lift Master garage door opener. And true or false, Lift Master comes with a 1 year warranty on parts at a minimum." She responds with "I agree." I continue, "So why would you not go through Lift Master to replace the parts of the new opener you installed?" That is terrible customer service. I instructed HSA to send my next service request to a different company (Garage Doors by George has since contacted me and they stated they would be working under the Lift Master warranty...gee, imagine that). read more

This company claims to be locally owned and operated for "many years". Simply not true. They operate out of a storage facility and have "technicians" that aren't certified in anything more than trying to push unneeded and over priced repairs on you. Check it out yourself if you want to verify. Ask where their office is located. One word to describe SHADY. They will charge you well above the going rates for parts and equipment. Good luck getting a price quote over the phone they will tell you it depends on a number of variables and give you price ranges and promote their low labor rate which might sound lower than other companies but they will kill you on parts costs. I had ACS come to give me an estimate on repairing my sagging garage door. The representatives that came basically defaulted directly to garage door replacement rather than repair and tried scare tactics of "It's not safe". The next person I called asked me why I was thinking of replacing the garage door and installed a brace that immediately allowed me to use my door again. It is not a permanent fix, but at least it was an option until I can plan for a future door replacement rather than having the unplanned expense now. ACS didn't even give me this as an option, just wanted to sell me a new door. read more
