Hibachi Chicken
Kiki H.

I ordered the Hibachi Chicken entree. As shown in the picture the chicken looks like it's straight out of a wet dog food can. This is HIBACHI Chicken and not Teriyaki chicken, therefore the chicken should not be drowned in sauce. The chicken it self is drier than a saltine cracker. I am guessing this is why the chicken was drenched in sauce. The vegetables were overcooked, I couldn't tell the difference between broccoli and zucchini. I am allergic to mushrooms and specifically asked for no mushrooms but yet I still received mushrooms. The best part of the dish was the white rice. 0/10 HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

"Salad"

Flavor is underwhelming, sauces are watery, and do they really think that just iceberg lettuce and watery sauce qualifies as a salad?? Go elsewhere for hibachi, this place ain't it.

If you live in Chester, are under age 42, and like tasty food, chances are you've been to Hibachi Ichiban. This place doesn't seem to offer any middle ground. You either LOVE IT or HATE IT. So, I guess that means I love it? I've been here twice now. I order what my son picks, the most expensive thing on the menu (Steak & Shrimp). I uploaded two pictures almost 1 year apart. Your experience will depend a lot on how well the cook prepares it. As you can see the bowl I had a few days ago looks a shit ton better than the one from 2017. The food has good flavor which is the most important thing. The salad thing they give you is a joke. The wait is ridiculous. For real, you could hit up TARGET, come back and still wait 20 minutes for your food. All good things come to those who wait. In closing, keep doing you Hibachi Ichiban! Anytime I'm in the Chester area I would be hard pressed to NOT come here.

This place is absolutely the worst!! Listen...if you go to any Asian restaurant and there are no Asians, that's sign # 1, DO NOT EAT FROM THERE!!! I should've listen to my gut, but my boyfriend wanted to eat there. 1. The food was salty. 2. The chicken was dry. 3. The noodles were spaghetti noodles and the rice was not fried rice. 4. The vegetables were bland. 5. They give you "salad" and it was nothing but chopped ice burg lettuce and the dressing looked like throw up!!! It was the worst, I could've done better at home. We should've went over to Peaking and that's what I suggested! I ate the veggies and most of the chicken. I was still hungry and we went to McDonalds!!! Listening to a man!!!! Women always go with your gut

I was visiting the beauty supply in the shopping center. When I noticed the busy hibachi restaurant. So I decided why not give it a try and it was smelling great. But smells & others people taste in food can be deceiving. I ordered the trio. Shrimp/Steak/Chicken Got back to my place. Hotel nearby. Went to take the first bite & immediately taste like I just licked the salt off the rim of a cocktail. I truly dislike salt. I hardly use it when I cook my own dishes at home. But trust me everything i cook seasoned to perfection, and since this is not about me. Let's stick to the subject. Lol I went to take another bite & thought maybe I could bear the salt but NOPE. $15.63 wasted. I didn't even take a third bite. & Last but not least. They pile your food in a very small container. I also dislike the presentation TERRIBLE. Here's a pic, let's not forget this the day after. So it's been sitting in the microwave of the hotel overnight and otw to the trash. I gave it 2 Stars for customer service. They employees were nice.

Decided to stop in here , had a taste for hibachi. Checked the reviews online and majority of them were all positive. So we said hey let's try it. Entering the guys were very friendly and professional. We ordered shrimp and scallops with fried rice, noodles, and vegetables. Plus a side salad came with it. Reasonable priced and it also cake with the yum yum sauce and extra terrayaki sauce. At first bite it was delicious. We absolutely enjoyed every bit of it. We now have a new hibachi spot.

Honestly, not worth the money. I ate it because I was hungry. Taste was okay. Seems like a basic meal. Wouldn't order again.

Not a fan. Sauce was not to my liking. Scallops were rubbery and my daughters chicken was awful. Won't be eating here again.

Now before you go this IS NOT a typical Hibachi where you sit in and watch them cook in front of you in a fancy spectacle.

It was just steamed to just the right texture and consistency. And the saltiness was just right! For our meal, I had the Riversbend Roll and Adam had the Box #1. Both were cooked and rolled to perfection!! S E R V I C E Our server was the sweetest woman! I accidentally ordered the volcano roll... thinking it was your typical fried volcano roll... and when it arrived raw, I was mortified! I don't do raw... She was so kind about it and when I said I would still pay for it because it was my mistake, she and the owners wouldn't let me. Instead, they made a suggestion based off of what I told them I liked and recommended the Riversbend Roll which I ended up LOVING! Our servers and the owners were truly exceptional people and we look forward to coming back here soon!! A T M O S P H E R E The lighting is everything!! The lights aren't too bright or too dim, they're just right. Literally the coziest atmosphere like something out of a 90s anime! The entrance and entire restaurant are wheelchair accessible. WIN! Plenty of seating in different table sizes and variations.

I heard of this place only from a whisper. A simple question, "Do you like Asian food?" And-- yeah,…read moreof course I do! So I immediately accepted the invitation to go. Boy was I lucky that I did! The place was absolutely awesome! It was an entirely unique experience for me being a spin on the "All You Can Eat" style of dining, giving you all the tools you need for a delicious rice bowl (or noodle bowl! There are loads of options!). When you walk in, the decor is superb with a super clean atmosphere and generally good looking. Me and my party were immediately sat down, and given a rundown on how everything works and the ordering cards. And we went to work, there was a whole smorgasbord of toppings. From noodles, to broccoli, lamb, beef, and even some crazy stuff like squid and many-many kinds of fish! There was so much variety that unless you're lame you can get something new, fresh, n' delicious every time you visit. I selected my mix of ingredients, then my sauces, and the Chef grabbed it right up and began cooking. In no time at all our bowls were ready to eat. I can't really remember all the stuff I put I'n my bowl but It ALL was absolutely delicious. High variety, fast service, and delicious taste? all the makings of a 5/5, if you're in the area and are looking for something unique, go to Yummy Bowl immediately!

My husband and I usual order are 2 bowls, 1 or 2 sushi rolls and then we will ask for a small empty bowl to make a portion for my 2-year-old. However, today I ordered 1 bowl for me so I can share it with my 2 y.o, as usual. My husband didn't feel like eating so he had a soft shell crab appetizer, and 1 volcano roll. I made a portion for my son in an empty bowl so my husband can feed him so I can eat. And that's how the harassment started. We got harassed TWICE, BACK TO BACK from 2 different servers. The first server straight approached us with the menu, pointed at the policy part and say "we have this policy no sharing yada yada". I stared back at him and said, "We are not sharing, my son is 2 y.o, what do you mean I cannot share my food with my son." "Oh I thought your husband is eating from that bowl." My husband said " I do not eat it, this is for my son, and I am feeding him." "Oh okay I just want to make sure that you know the policy." Then he walked away. No sorry or whatsoever from him. Five minutes later a second server approached and said the exact same thing. I stared at her and again said my son is 2 what do you mean?! She said oh sorry I thought that was your husband was eating. So my son just eat and breathe air? My husband couldn't stand anymore and told them how harassed they are to us right now. We ended the meal and packed everything home. At least this time the second server apologized and said that's her 2nd day working here. Nevertheless, there are multiple ways to handle the situation. I used to be a server for 5+ years and I really don't like the way they approach and make assumptions about us sharing food like that, at all. They didn't even bother asking if my husband was eating from that small bowl or not to start with. I later told my husband, "if I was the one fed our son from the small bowl, they probably wouldn't said that to us." My husband said "Feeding the kid is both mom and dad's duty. Who says only the mother can feed the kid?" The menu says 3 and under are exclusive from the no sharing policy. It doesn't say anything about if one person eat the bowl, the entire party has to order bowl or If one person eat sushi roll, the entire party has to do the same. Negative!!!! To the manager, owner: if you want, go ahead and check the camera to see if my husband ever touch or eat my food from my bowl or from my son's bowl on April 8, 2026 from 11-11:50am, table 2.
