First time here for late lunch or early dinner. I was amazed the inside is beautiful looked liked a 5 star restaurant. Nice , clean , quite. Good atmosphere, the food was delicious, sushi rolls very yummy! Our waiter was on point, knew his stuff! I never had to ask for a refill on drinks. Food was freshly made and sushi chef awesome ! Prices are very reasonable! Love this place, I will be back! Impressive. Food looked very colorful.

The food is ALWAYS delicious! I always take friends to this small spot! It is very quiet so more of a calm vibe. A great spot for date night, or small family dinner. The service is always lovely, waiters are very on top of their job, as well as fast paced for a fresh hot meal!

Bomb roll, shrimp tempura roll, tuna roll

Absolutely love this place. My go-to sushi spot. Every roll is "half off" so I'll usually grab a couple shrimp tempura rolls for 3.50 each. My favorite is definitely the bomb roll for $9. It's a huge roll deep fried to perfection.

Seeweed salad and House Soup

The only thing that was good here that I tried was the house soup and seeweed salad. The hibachi chicken was unseasoned and bland as well as the fried rice and vegetables in the entree. A small portion of rice as well, which is out of the norm for hibachi places. Wouldn't recommend

From front to back: Salmon Katsa, Lady in Red, Rainbow Roll, Mango Shrimp

I was impressed with this place. It's in a strip mall next to a Subway and I probably would have skipped it if I hadn't seen all the great reviews. It's perfect if you want quality tasty sushi but don't want to pay premium prices. Greenville's sushi scene is hit or miss so it's great to have a solid affordable option in the area. This place and Tenji are easily my favorites. Like Tenji, they also offer an AYCE option. For lunch it's $15 and for dinner $20. I haven't tried this option yet so I can't speak to its value but the dinner price is much cheaper than Tenji. We had the Salmon Katsa Roll, Lady in Red Roll, Rainbow Roll, & Mango Shrimp Roll The Lady in Red was my favorite. It was delicious and had tons of flavor. It's Kani, tuna, and tempura flake with spicy sauce sliced tuna and tobiko on top Definitely try this one. We always order a Rainbow Roll wherever we go and this was one was definitely very good and one of the better ones in the area. The mango was cool to mix up the flavor and add something more sweet. I enjoyed that one a lot. This is a good spot if you're craving sushi. Definitely give it a try. If it's after 10pm head over to Otto Izzakaya for half off sushi. Otherwise hit this place up.

Overcooked unflavored veggies!

Super hungry this evening and did not have time to cook dinner so I decided to try Hibachi Cafe. I was greeted by two unfriendly people: possibly owner and daughter/cashier. Anyway, I did not take it personally because I was hungry and unemotional. So, I ordered teriyaki salmon and returned in 15 minutes as advised. Upon entering, I saw two orders on the table and just waited. The cashier just looked at me and owner comes out and read aloud my order. I nodded yes and he pushes it toward me, did not thank me and looked at me like I had 4 heads. I will not return because it's clear they do not want my business. About me: I was well dressed and received multiple compliments throughout the entire day, mainly from men. Maybe, jealousy or my vibrant personality. Not about race because owner was pleasant to a woman who looked similar to me but wore jeans and gym shoes. He handed her carry out bag to her. Who knows??? The food was bad: salmon and veggies were so overcooked (see pic) but I ate the salmon bc I was so hungry. I threw the rest in the trash. I hate leaving negative reviews.

Trying out Happy Hour sushi at this spot today.

This spot is a pretty nice spot to duck into when you want sushi not from the grocery store, but you don't want to pay high end, sushi restaurant prices. Just remember, with most sushi places, what is sacrificed in price is usually in direct correlation with a sacrifice in quality. Quality of the nigiri yellowtail and whitefish were on par with what i expected from a place like this. The Greenville Roll and the Rock and Roll rolls were good choices. If you visit this establishment, give those rolls a try. The service is a little lackluster but they do keep very clean bathrooms. I ordered hot green tea and i received a ceramic cup which felt as if it had been placed in a microwave to heat up the green tea; it was extremely hot to the touch. And what's worse is, the temperature of the tea in the cup did not match the temperature of the cup.

This place is definitely a sleeper. I dined in and was pleasantly surprised with half priced sushi!!! So I got a couple of rolls. Let me just tell you, man, it was some high quality sushi!! I have never had a deep fried roll, so I tried one, "Best Friend Roll" it blew me away. I also have a common shrimp tempura roll, it was better than average with crusted flakes on top. And last but not least I had the "Queen Roll" this baby had lobster tempura, and avocado and so other delicious stuff!!! This is kind of a hole in the wall, it's really quiet and clean inside, and the staff is incredible!! Would happily come back.

The place was surprisingly nice...very cozy, inviting ambiance with a warm, fuzzy color palette. Thoroughly Japanese in decor...complete with anime on TV screens. The menu was quite lush...SO much to choose from! They had a wide variety of ramen, as well as a long list of sushi (both nigiri and sushi rolls), as well as a variety of donburi and even poke bowls. Tons of appetizers too. LOVED their menu! I ordered the Spicy Tantanmen Ramen, and a Pork Bao Bun. My husband ordered Chicken Katsu (appetizer only), Shrimp Tempura, and a bowl of white rice. We also shared Edamame. Well, all I can say is WOW. Everything....I mean EVERYTHING was absolutely delish!! Actually, I think I got the wrong ramen... Instead of Tantanmen, I got the other Spicy Ramen (I think?)...and normally, I'd be upset about this, but my ramen was still SO good, I decided to let it go. The Bao Bun was good too! I also sampled my husband's dishes...and both Katsu and Shrimp Tempura batters were perfect...So incredibly crispy and fresh!! So glad we chose to check out this place. A-Plus all the way!

Food was fantastic. We got the calamari to start, which I'd highly recommend! We both got a bowl of ramen (The garlic tonkatsu was incredible), and two sushi rolls to share. Excited to compare it to other ramen shops in the area, but overall very pleased with our first experience here!

I said we had a pretty sizeable carry out order, which she took down And I asked if 6:30 was doable for the actual pick up time. To her credit, she wanted to confirm with the sushi chef's and they said, "yes." And they were spot on. We had five rolls and about 14 orders of nigiri. Sushi Masa is the best sushi in town, but I appreciated the forthright communication and commitment to their word on timing. Highly recommend dine-in or carry out.

She wanted to be there as soon as it opened since it gets busy, so 11:30 for this Tuesday. I like the quiet and quaint feeling of this place. We could easily catch up. Our server was so nice and kept checking if we were ready to order, but we discovered it had been awhile since we were last here. Last time we came, it was closed for some reason so we were looking through the entire menu. I kept debating between simply ordering the sushi rolls but then decided on whatever it was I did order since I had never had it before. My friend who is half-Japanese said that it was a common sushi-type roll that she ate and liked growing up. This way, I had 2 California rolls, 3 cucumber rolls, 2 of the "whatever" the name is rolls, and several nigari. It also came with a salad and miso soup. My friend ordered the vegetable bento box and sushi roll. Good was delicious, service was excellent, and price (especially nowadays) wasn't bad for 2 people. We did come at the right time and didn't feel rushed. As the last time I did eat here was with my husband, and we arrived later and had to wait, AND there were lots of others waiting so we couldn't simply chat leisurely. I'll definitely be back here. Note their hours.
