the beer was eh, but the atmosphere was cool. During the day it's super dead, we were the only ones for a little until the after work crowd starting coming in. Bartender was nice, attentive and gave us alot of great recommendations. From beer to food. Mainly food, their beer wasnt my thing. Untapped review on that. Bartender recommended we ordered from the local pizza place, they deliver for free if you stay in the brewery. Bartender also said don't get the pizza though. The crust tastes like frozen cardboard apparently. But we should get either the calzones or the chicken nuggets. Yes chicken nuggets from a pizza place, on top of that making them deliver them lol. But the deal was 20 for $7. Exactly like McDonald's nuggets; fries were good too. I got some buffilo breaded wings, and they were surprising tender and delicious. Especially with the ranch. Wings at pizza places are always hidden gems. Food was delivered within 30 minutes. On the phone with them in the picture actually lol. My Mr. was ecstatic when he found out that Hi-Wire is coming to Cincinnati. He's from North Carolina, so having this brewery felt close to home for him. My in laws were in town so we decided to check it out on a mid afternoon. Very spacious, awesome decor, plenty of outdoor seating, they even have a rooftop and you can play games such as Cornhole outside. They definately have a good beer selection. I believe 24 on tap when we went. Not feeling beer? They do have can wine and cocktails. But we decided to get a flight: Japanese Rice lager Cherry pie parfait Italian pils Mountain water Margarita sour Red rye lager Electric squeeze IPA 10-40w mudslide stout Bed of nails brown ale Leisure time lager Rad Kolsch Bourbon barley wine My fave was the Japanese Rice lager and the leisure time lager. Hi-Wire Brewing from Asheville, NC opened their first brewery in Cincinnati at the new Factory52 development. They have 21 of their beers on tap and 3 guest ciders. Cincinnati loves their beer & was evident at the Grand Opening on Saturday, April 1st plus what started out as a nice day, turned into a cloudy windy day perfect for enjoying craft beer which I think half of the city showed up as the brewery inside was packed. We did enjoy a few beers - me a Juicy IPA, a Margarita sour and friend who enjoys lighter beer Hi-Wire had a few selections for her too. Awesome place to hang out and enjoy a cold brew. I met friends and enjoyed a Super Trouper, which had a pineapple fruity flavor that I loved. My friends who love beer flavored beer (lol) enjoyed their selections as well. The bartender's service was awesome. Hi-Wire is a very nice brewery. It's got an extremely cool vibe both indoor and outdoor. (upper 3rd floor gives a great view of the Factory 52 complex). The bartenders were extremely nice and helpful. Boy did we need their help. There's a great variety of beers (24) HOWEVER they're listed only by name. SO, we had to ask about the ones that didn't have the type of beer in their name. Even the website didn't have all of them. That would be the reason for 4 stars and not 5. Just one line about type of beer up on the list would make it a 5. The flight beers were good. (ale, brown, 2 IPA's) The red ale was even better. read more

When I heard Hi-Wire Brewing was opening a place here in Cincinnati, I immediately knew I wanted to check it out as soon as they opened. They're one of my favorite North Carolina breweries, and being from NC, I gotta represent the Tarheel state. My lady and I went on a Friday when my parents were in town. The place was a little difficult to find with all the bustling construction around but we finally found it after a bit of searching. It was much bigger than I'd expected; three floors, a rooftop bar, and loads of outdoor seating. We checked out the bar on the first floor which was very cool and laid back with unique playing card based artwork everywhere. Perfect since the place used to be the old Bicycle Playing Card Factory. The staff were all super helpful and friendly. They had 24 taps all featuring Hi-wire goodness along with other canned options. They also have lots of shirts, hats, and numerous other goodies for sale and packs of canned brew to go. Plus they're very dog-friendly so you can bring the pups too. We started with some flights consisting of: 1. Japanese Rice lager Cherry pie parfait Italian pils Mountain water 2. Margarita sour Red rye lager Electric squeeze IPA 10-40w mudslide stout 3. Bed of nails brown ale Leisure time lager Rad Kolsch Bourbon barley wine All the brews were tasty, especially the Cherry Parfait, rice lager, red rye lager, and Mudslide. Located at Factory 52 this location of Hi-Wire Brewing is welcoming the whole family even dogs. They have great atmosphere with the first floor with an open patio and plenty of room inside and a third floor with open air hang out spot with great views. They have a wide rotating selection of beers and some ciders. Not sure what to get they do allow you to sample beforehand or to get a flight for the indecisive. While they don't serve food it can be found nearby at the Gatherall or delivered from Angelo's and some places in the Gatherall so you never have to leave your beer. The staff were very helpful and walked us through their selection so we could make an informed decision. Tips to make your visit a success: 1) Sample, sample, sample. Unsure of what to get, want to try something new, or just looking for your usual then by all means sample before you buy. It is not frowned upon to try several beers before making a decision. Oftentimes people who say they don't like beers haven't tried enough to find what they do like. So sample a little bit. 2) Event galore. Nice just a nice beer and chill spot they have events too. Come on by for karaoke, trivia, or my favorite a silent disco. These events plus the nice selection of drinks make this the place to be. I was super impressed with Hi-Wire. Went on a sunny Saturday and took the dog. It was pretty busy which was good to see. There's plenty of seating and the space was great for inside/outside. They had a large selection of beers on tap with a variety of types. We got the lager and the mountain water. I really enjoyed the mountain water as it was super refreshing with a bit of citrus. This place is going to be printing money once Factory 52 is fully up and running. Parking will be tough but it's a great scene and can't wait to come back. read more

First and most importantly they have a solid selection of beer and a nice roof top bar! I tried a flight of four beers - two IPAs, a lager and a brown. All were good. It's all bar bar service and while Hi-Wire does not have food they have a partnership with restaurants next door who will bring food over. Outside of the beer they have the full minimalistic hip brewery starter pack. - High top tables with wire chairs - Sealed cement floor - Exposed infrastructure in the ceiling painted black - Zero sound absorption, it gets loud! All in all Hi wire is a great spot if you are local to them, don't go too far out of your way. I highly recommend grabbing a brew and enjoying the roof top bar! read more

Great brewery that has recently made its way to Cincy! Hi-Wire is located right by the new bustling area of Factory 52 over in Norwood. Upon entry, the space is very big with an open feel to it. It is right in the heart of Factory 52 with giant windows that bring in a lot of natural light from the surrounding greenery. The bartenders who served me were awesome! Very friendly and attentive. I had a flight to try, and my favorite was the Hi-Wire hazy IPA. I am a sour girl, however, and I saw that some people nearby got some great sours. I will have to go back and get one of those to try next time. I really enjoyed the rooftop space they had there as well. It was great to sit up there and chat with people. Hi-Wire themselves do not provide food, but you are able to order pizza from Anglio's and it can be delivered directly to you there. When the Food Hall opens up across the way at the Gatherall, people will be able to order food from there and enjoy it at Hi-Wire, too! They will have a bunch of different options to choose from. Overall, I'm glad I got to check this brewery out--a super fun, newer spot! read more
