That means the things I look for in a bowling alley are pretty different. Town-N-Country Lanes has all the kids staples: - Alley bumpers to prevent frustrating gutter balls - Ramps so that balls make it all the way to the pins - Plenty of six pound balls that can be held by tiny arms - Velcro shoes in the smaller sizes - Pizza that isn't entirely awful The lanes are in fine shape for casual play. I do long for the old fashioned manual scoring, that was good for teaching kids math. But the electronic scoreboards make a game of bowling hassle free. And that's important because getting five small children to complete a single game of bowling can be a herculean effort in and of itself. That's where the bar comes in. Unfortunately, I didn't get to put that or the snack bar to the full test. There were plenty of cheap deep fried treats available. One day I may have to try those out at a Saturday night Rock 'N Bowl. That weekly event sounds like a great deal: $10 unlimited bowling (including shoes) from 10pm until 1am. It says they take music requests. I wonder if they'd play some Creedence.

With COVID, they have shower curtain barriers between each lane - they were a bit distracting and I wish there was an option to remove them for groups that bowl together, but I appreciate the safety efforts. Funnily enough though, there were tons of people there for bowling leagues not wearing masks or social distancing (just an observation, not necessarily complaining). There were 3-4 times where the lanes got stuck (the pins weren't being removed) and we had to get help. Otherwise, we had a great time! The place was pretty clean and there were lots of friendly and helpful people around. I'd definitely go again!

Taking the course with Maura spared me from likely embarrassment. She explained the rules clearly and demonstrated serving techniques. She's very patient. She told me not to rush my serve. The class had just enough time to play a short game. The facilities are nice. I borrowed a pickleball racket for free. I'll need more practice. There are sessions where beginners can play. Bottom line is that it was quite fun. Thanks to Maura and Picklers Pickleball Club for getting me started.

The course is very nice, the greens were watered and nicely kept. The majority of the holes are Par 3 and the course isn't very hard so it's good for people just trying to have fun. The course can get busy so I suggest going during the weekdays during the afternoon. The holes aren't very long so you can definitely walk the course if you want. The price is a bit expensive, it's $27 for 18 holes on weekdays. All in all, Mill Road Golf Course is a solid course and you can stop at Otis and Oliver's for a bite to eat after a round of golf.

They have a great corn hole set-up for open play, leagues and tournaments. Everything looks brand new. True Pickleball Club has a website that is easy to schedule a court, pretty inexpensive at $45 an hour or $10 per person for Open play. The location is beautiful with 5 regular courts and 1 championship court. Cabanas at each court for your stuff and a lounge with locker rooms to change while you wait. A bar with lounge also. The staff has been amazing. Brian checked us in, we told him we were very new to the sport and he was extremely helpful. So much so, he gave us a lesson and played with us. We have been back 4 times since and may join a league.
