With COVID, they have shower curtain barriers between each lane - they were a bit distracting and I wish there was an option to remove them for groups that bowl together, but I appreciate the safety efforts. Funnily enough though, there were tons of people there for bowling leagues not wearing masks or social distancing (just an observation, not necessarily complaining). There were 3-4 times where the lanes got stuck (the pins weren't being removed) and we had to get help. Otherwise, we had a great time! The place was pretty clean and there were lots of friendly and helpful people around. I'd definitely go again!

Obviously I'm not a golfer…read more Bowling is one of those things I used to do for fun. Now it's something I just do for kids birthday parties. That means the things I look for in a bowling alley are pretty different. Town-N-Country Lanes has all the kids staples: - Alley bumpers to prevent frustrating gutter balls - Ramps so that balls make it all the way to the pins - Plenty of six pound balls that can be held by tiny arms - Velcro shoes in the smaller sizes - Pizza that isn't entirely awful The lanes are in fine shape for casual play. I do long for the old fashioned manual scoring, that was good for teaching kids math. But the electronic scoreboards make a game of bowling hassle free. And that's important because getting five small children to complete a single game of bowling can be a herculean effort in and of itself. That's where the bar comes in. Unfortunately, I didn't get to put that or the snack bar to the full test. There were plenty of cheap deep fried treats available. One day I may have to try those out at a Saturday night Rock 'N Bowl. That weekly event sounds like a great deal: $10 unlimited bowling (including shoes) from 10pm until 1am. It says they take music requests. I wonder if they'd play some Creedence.

The arcade side is almost all the newer "gambling" games for "tickets", which are accumulated via virtual points on cards and for which you can exchange a rather limited number of prizes even compared to Carlos Queso. The fun factor in not having tickets is compensated for by the lack of frustration in counting them out, so I don't think the kids cared much. But it's pretty expensive and the masking of the true cost of each game is a kind of bait and switch, like most such places. So it goes with "arcades" these days. So far, though, all the machines have been in working order. There aren't a lot of machines because Via has tried to lump a whole bunch of things into one space: mini-bowling alleys, billiards (OK, pool), a sort of a sports bar, and a stage space. The bowling is decent but it's not going to put any real bowling alleys out of business; the lack of space is an issue, although I will say the (limited) number of rental shoes are in much better shape than most alleys, probably because they're all new. The pool tables aren't full sized but as far as entertainment dollars go, are probably the best bargain here - $5 per person per hour. They're already a little dirty, as it doesn't appear they do fastidious daily table maintenance like a pool parlor might. The bar is a disaster; the aforementioned inability to get service has been apparent on every visit we've been there. It's a really quick way to blow through some money but if you don't care about that and are there when you can do the "tour" of all the amusements it will pass some time. If that sounds a bit lukewarm, well, that's because it is. Not a destination but if you're already killing time at the mall before or after the aquarium or a movie, and have the money to burn on the kids, they will be moderately amused.

Most recently went bowling and had dinner here and the food was surprisingly good for an arcade bowling alley and it was fairly priced! (Hard to come by these days) Bowling was fun as well, my boyfriend and I played for half an hour and completed almost 2 full games in that time. Previously we came here and played pool, and did bumper cars - also a lot of fun! Apex has pretty much anything you can think of... with laser tag, an arcade, escape rooms, bowling, bumper cars, and pool tables there is something for everyone to enjoy. I definitely recommend apex for an afternoon of family fun or a date night.
