Yesterday I had the pleasure of buying a vehicle from Shemwell Motors in RedBud Illinois. Of all the vehicles I have ever purchased, this was the easiest transaction by far. They are not some big giant company trying to make a fortune on everyone who walks through their door and did everything they could to insure customer satisfaction was #1. When I first got there and seen the small lot of cars ( small, but packed full!) I was skeptical because (in my experience) most small used car dealers don't want to haggle over price. Not the case here. I told him what I was looking for and what I was wanting to spend. He let me drive whatever I wanted and was even willing to let me take the truck home (an hour away) to show Britney Graul. Not once was he pushy about any of it. When I found a truck I liked, I made an offer and instead of arguing back and forth, he gave me a no B.S. bottom dollar he could go on the truck which got me to where I wanted to be. There was also no long waits to see what the lenders would say about a loan, no sneaking off back and forth to "talk to a sales manager", no haggling over interest rates. It was cut and dry and everything was done right there on the computer in front of me in less than an hour. He was also very thorough going over paperwork and making sure any questions I had were answered correctly. They made me feel welcome there and we had a great time. Out of 5 stars I would easily rate them a 10! Lol. I am not affiliated with them in any other than my recent purchase, I just wanted to share my review. I think the best business comes from word of mouth. If I am ever in the market for another vehicle, I will be going to them. If you are in the market for a new vehicle , go see Rich and Hilary at Shemwell Motors and tell them I sent you!!!!

They had no qualms about the fact that I'm a very tall person and wanted to sit in over a dozen cars to see which fit me best. The finance people were great about running the numbers for a number of different scenarios (with or without a ​trade-in, with or without down payment, different loan lengths, etc.). I've heard horror stories about used car salesmen, but I didn't experience a single one of them at this location.

I bought the car on the spot and flew home. The office people were friendly and easy to deal with ( from an east coast guy) They kept the car inside until it was picked up by the transport company. A very smooth transaction start to finish. CCC has a huge selection, and I was looking for a hard to find model. I recommend them as a good place to find the classic car. Purchase price was ~$14k.
