This is the second time I got my eyelashes done here. The first time was fine.. nothing terrible. The second time... the ladies are very dismissive and pretty rude. She hit me in the head multiple times with the lamp and held it very close to my face that I could barely move. I guess that was her goal because if I moved even my hand in the slightest she would tell me to hold still. She attached multiple eyelash extensions under my water line so that I had to remove them myself when I got home because they would hang into my vision. Their card machine was not working so I had to walk to an ATM to get out cash and pay an ATM fee. Not super happy with this I guess it's worth the 35$ fill pricing. :/ read more

I go here whenever I feel the need for a pedi & eyebrow wax. The ladies and the one gentleman are very nice, although as above reviewers have said, they do prefer to take cash, and also they do not speak much English. Personally, that's no issue as they do a great job, and the price is awesome. And again, they're super nice. I'd recommend at least checking this business out :) read more

These ladies have no only saved my nails from 2 different places when I was out of town but they are the only place in town I will go! They have great prices and are always super sweet! I had them remove gel tips and repaint on my nail. The lady from the last place destroyed my nails and she didn't even charge me for getting these gross things off! I'm from out of town and came to see what my options for salons were when I move to Pullman for school. They do not greet you when you come in and do not socialize. I got a pedicure. They only did paint and heal scrub. This also did the message after the paint job and no leg scrub. Very minimum and expensive for the cheap job. This business deserves a zero star rating, because of how I was treated on 10/24/2014. I do not believe they even deserved a one star. First, I called a few days ahead to set up a 12:00 noon appointment for a gel manicure. I arrived on time and checked in. I also made sure they know that I am the 12:00 appointment. There were two other people waiting and I was not certain if they were a walk-in or if they actually had appointments. I checked in with one of the ladies. After they talked in Vietnamese, I was asked to wait. One of them helped the other two people who were waiting and I sat in the waiting area patiently. I understand in business like this they would want to be nice and fair to their customers. However, since I had an appointment, I was under the impression that someone would be with me shortly. It is 12:15 pm and no one helped me yet, one of the man working there said he would be with me in five more minutes. He finally soaked my hands at 12:20 while I was still sitting in their waiting area. I felt uncomfortable because I was in an awkward position, not resting my hands on a table, as it should be. Still, I did not say anything. It is 12:30 pm. The two people before me were still getting their nail services done, while I was still sitting in their waiting area soaking my fingers in an awkward position. The guy came to me and tried to remove the gel, for whatever reason, they were having a hard time removing the darn nail polish. I told him I have to leave their salon by 12:45 - 12:50 because I have to work at 1:00 pm. He then suggested if I were in a hurry, he would put the gel nail polish and be on my way. After thinking about it, I was not pleased with the idea because they would do my manicure in a rush, and still be charged the full price of the gel manicure, $30 plus tip. I decided to get the gel manicure done, but done the right way...not in a rush. If my appointment were honored, this would not have been an issue in the first place. Furthermore, if the man had helped me with no interruptions at 12:30, I would still be able to leave by 12:50 the latest. Instead, the man was serving me and the two other women at the same time. He was the only one helping me, while simultaneously kept going back and forth between me and one other lady. It was 12:45 pm, one of the other ladies was finally done getting her nail service done. I was called in to the table and the table was not sanitized, and not sure if they had also sanitized the tools they used on my nails. Moreover, upon sitting down in a manicure station, he tells me that I will be done by 1:10pm! I decided to have the gel nail polish taken out and not continue with full gel manicure service anymore because of time limit. I was furious and because of the inconvenience, he charged me only $5. I gave him tip, he at least deserved it for doing the best he can to help me and because he was the only one who seemed to be interested in helping me at all and treated me nice. Before I left, I asked him, how does the appointment work? I did not really get a straight answer from him. I told him the reason why I called ahead of time and made an appointment is to avoid this type of delay. I made sure I told him that it was in their books. All he could really say was that he was sorry. I also got the impression that calling in ahead of time for an appointment does not guarantee that it will happen. I appreciated his apology and he was trying to be nice. However, I found it rather odd how the two ladies treated me with disrespect, unfriendliness, and without acknowledgement. After putting the two and two together, it became obvious to me, and felt like it was on a personal level, which I will explain why. On the evening of 10/22, I saw these two Vietnamese ladies at a Wal-Mart store in Moscow. My boyfriend and I were waiting in line to be helped at the Customer Service Department. These two ladies arrived shortly after. They were going to cut us in line and I politely said to them "my boyfriend and I were in line first." I did not believe I was rude, nor did I say anything wrong, I was just asserting myself. I did not think much of it, but surely, these ladies did let me know how they felt when I walked in to their nail salon earlier this afternoon, LOL! I was obviously surprised to see these two ladies in the nail salon, what a small world. I could have walked out, but let bygones be bygones right? What an opportunity to observe their customer service. Sure enough, I felt like they had retaliated by the obvious treatment from these two ladies today, by not acknowledging me, not being friendly, and most of all, making me wait 20 minutes before I was serviced. I believe this was a very immature and unprofessional. I will never go back to this salon and shame on these two ladies for being childish and immature! read more

My experience was not a good one. The only reason I actually stayed and got my nails done was because this was the only nearby nail salon open on a Sunday. There was a little bit of a wait because it was a weekend and they were busy. But then one of the women working there tells my friend and me that their card machine isn't working so we need to go to the ATM around the corner to get cash. We had to walk into this sketchy bar to get money and then walk back. They also ripped my friend's nail, tried to glue it, and didn't apologize. My friend just said no thank you and then had to wait for me to finish up. I asked for gel, and so far the quality of the polish is holding up well. I got a gel manicure and she did a wonderful job! She shaped my nails how I asked, and they look great. Yes, this is a typical salon where the technicians don't really hold conversations with you. But it's less expensive than others in the area. That being said, a manicure is posted as $15 on the wall, but my gel manicure was $30 - that seems like a steep price difference. And there was an extra $4 charge for paying with a card. That being said, just bring cash and this place is totally worth it if atmosphere isn't your top concern. read more

DO NOT get a Brazilian wax here. I needed one last minute as my other waxer wasn't available, and my friend said this was a decent place. She had no idea what she was doing, she missed a ton of hairs and was very rough when putting the wax on me. It was $40 which is way too much for the quality that she provided. Great service! The pedicure felt amazing. It was very busy when I went for a walk in pedicure but they got me right in. The people are very attentive even when they are busy and will work with you on a design for the finishing touches. The price is great for what you get. 100% worth going here. This is the most basic pedicure I've ever experienced. Its $25 and they only scrub the bottom of your feet. They also used the same scrubber for my friend and I which is very unsanitary. We didn't even get base or top coats! I would not recommend coming here unless you just need a quick toe nail trim and polish change because this place is a rip off! I had a gift certificate from my birthday and went in for a mani/pedi and they yelled "we no give change on certificate" why not just cross out and write the left over amount? I asked about gel, she said "no change this what we do". I sat down, they were very rough with my nails, she cut me and actually made me bleed! After being shuffled around between people, and knowing they were talking about me (pointing at me, while they were talking..lets make it obvious people!) Do NOT get your nails done here!! I went to Pullman Hi-Tek regularly for a few months when I was poor (yes, their prices are very cheap). They consistently hurt me while getting acrylic nails. They overuse the dremel and don't even stop when you flinch and pull away from the excessive heat and pain. The last time I went there, the nail tech made me BLEED from the center of my nail because she drilled it so deep and carelessly. I went home and filed a complaint against that nail tech through the WDOL and discovered that Pullman Hi-Tek had just been fined $1500 for SAFETY AND SANITATION VIOLATIONS! Aside from your risk of having your natural nails damaged, feeling excessive pain, and risking bacterial and/or fungal infections... they're shoddy nail techs anyway. My fills often had air bubbles in the acrylic, which means their product wasn't clean. The cheap dollar costs are not worth the health costs! I know the other salons are pricey, but please do NOT support this business!!!! read more

This is a good place to get a very reasonably priced manicure! The staff are nice and welcoming and they do a pretty good job. I've gotten a couple acrylic nail sets from them and they last a long time and look nice. My only issue is there is no music or tv so the environment isn't as great as other nail salons. read more

I love going to Hi-Tek Nails in Pullman. I have gone for years and that take great care of me and I get lot's of compliments on my nails.

Save your money and go somewhere else. I got a basic manicure ($15). There were low quality polish options to choose from, they did not use clean tools (I could see excess skin from other clients stuck to the cuticle cutters), the woman decided to scratch the surface/nail bed of my nails with a nail file instead of a buffer, they didn't use a base coat, and my polish began chipping off within 12 hours of my mani, AND my nails have been breaking since the manicure (something that very rarely happens to my nails). On top of that, I was charged extra for using my credit card (this was not advertised anywhere). Certainly will not be going back. read more

This place was awful. They were extremely rude, and didn't speak English well at all. It's also incredibly unsanitary. Dead bugs all over the place. I went to pay with a card afterwards, but was told I had to walk to my bank (half mile away) because they wouldn't take cards, but didn't tell me before hand. My acrylics bubbled so looked weird, and didn't listen to my preferences. They also were careless with the tools they used. So much so that two of my fingers started bleeding. I am a local resident of Pullman and have tried quite a few places around town for pedicures. While this is not your elite spa experience, I am very pleased with the service provided and the way business is handled at Hi-Tek Nail salon. At other places they try to upsell you into other services....asking if you want add-ons without telling you there is another charge. At Hi-Tek they are clear on price and are NOT sneakily trying to get you to upgrade. I appreciate this. Another huge benefit at Hi-Tek is that if they do not have time to do your nails they let you know how long the wait will be or ask if you can come back later. Most other places tell you that they can fit you in and I have waited for over an hour at some establishments. So, no games and no wait or realistic wait times! Love that!!! read more

I only rate this place a 1 because I can't rate them a 0... first I walk in to get a pedicure and the staff is very rude, once they finally sat me down I realized how horribly dirty the place was, not sure how they pass health inspections. Anyways this was my pedicure: they removed my toe nail polish, they put lotion on my legs and rubbed VERY hard ("massaged them") for about 10 minutes on each leg. Then they repainted my toes and THAT WAS IT. Throughout the entire process the man who was giving me my "pedicure" took three personal phone calls and went from touching my feet to holding his phone and back and fourth without washing his hands or using gloves! The paint job was awful they didn't bother to do extra coats or anything. I would have been better off to soak my feet in the bath. It was a total waste of time and money and I will NEVER be coming back. I highly suggest never going here because it is a waste of time. read more
