We ordered the strawberry banana smoothie, black & thai milk tea~ We love this place better than fruitealicious! The boba is better in texture and not too sweet. The tea is really good too (: we got 25% and we still thought it was sweet enough! Super delicious. Although, to compare the tea quality, Anime cafe steals the tea for me! They use tea as a base and u get to choose your flavors to add into the tea. Even though they have great tea, the boba quality doesnt compare to Hi tea! But Hi tea is definitly the perfect balance!! The Thai Milk Tea had no flavor or sweetness, and I didn't ask for less sweetness. The boba was hard as well.

This was an unfortunate one. Really wanted this place to be good since I live close by. I'm only judging it on its boba tea. Customer service was great, place was clean, no other issues. I ordered the Taro Milk Tea with Boba, and it was bad. First time I didn't finish a drink I ordered on purpose. Boba was old and tough, in contrast with a lot of shops that keep it fresh. Taro didn't taste like Taro at all, watered down. I'll give them another try in the future to see if anything changes. But I would recommend one of the other shops in town. read more

I just visited this new place for the first time at the promenade mall. First of all the owner is an absolute doll. She was so kind and happy and let us custom choose our drinks. I have been obsessed with Thai Boba tea and there aren't very many places that make it. I am absolutely thrilled with this place. We've looked far and wide for somewhere to quench our Californian thirst for boba since we moved here and this place straight up knocked us side ways - hands down best place in NWA if not in Midwest America. Got the brown sugar milk tea. The drink itself was really delicious but sadly the boba was completely inedible. Awful texture. Grainy, sorta dry and crumbly in the middle...just weird. Definitely the best and most authentic boba spot around. While I usually stick to my tried and true signature milk tea with regular boba, they have many different types of bobas, jellies, and flavors that you can select. I have also tried their matcha milk tea, which was refreshing and nice. I think the thing that I appreciate the most about this place is that you can customize the amount of sugar and ice that they add. Also, they play catchy Kpop tunes which makes it fun to hang out there, and they have some Asian snack offerings like waffles and Taiyaki, a red bean dessert shaped like a fish. The reason for my lack of giving a 5-star review is, a couple of times, the bobas have been a bit undercooked and a bit crunchy. Not the soft, chewy morsels that they should be. Great little place in pinnacle mall. Such a relaxing atmosphere. IMO one of the more authentic boba places I'm use to seeing - there are snacks, games, some small table and chairs. This is probably my first stop when I start shopping so I can have my boba in my hand when I start my day or where I might go to wind down for the day with my toddler. They have kids size drinks - strawberry boba was a win for my 3 year old. My favorite is their signature milk tea. The boba is a little bit harder than I am use to - hence my 4 stars. Lots of drink options and customizations available. Real fruit used on some of the smoothies. Flavored teas are made with syrup and tend to be really sweet. I ordered a passion fruit tea with mango popping boba and no sugar. If it was any sweeter I wouldn't have been able to drink it so make sure you ask about how the drinks are made if sugar content concerns you. I also ordered a strawberry smoothie at 50% sugar for E and it was plenty sweet enough. I would imagine there is a learning curve on finding your perfect combination here. We would try it again, but I would go for something unsweetened. read more

Here's my reviewwwwwww! The very last of 2018! Hi Tea it's a bit of a whole in the wall if you blink* you'll miss it. Located next to Maurice's in the pinnacle mall. You walk in you're greeted with a warm smile. Menu is put up high and you can see it anywhere in the small business. They get busy so there might be a wait. I ordered the panda boba drink and it was delicious. Sadly they were sold out of the white boba so I didn't get the full experience but honestly it wasn't lacking. Ordered a coffee with black boba it was yummy and the woman behind the counter was apologetic to the wait. But if you watch no one is just standing around not working. They're all doing their part and it's neat to watch. There's a wide variety and you are in control of everything. From the amount of ice (MAJOR PLUS) to the sweetness and what else exactly goes into your drink. They have pastries and snacks available. I even saw some instant shin ramyun on a shelf available to purchase. They're adorable. Prices were reasonable for what we go. Two drinks about $7-$8 before tip and I'm in control of everything. I was excited to try this place and compare it to the many other boba shops I've tried all over. I was unfortunately disappointed. I got the passion fruit green tea with boba and lychee jellies. The tea was super watered down and hardly had any flavor. The boba was cooked badly, hard on the inside and tasted as it had been sitting out too long. My friend got the lychee green tea which was better than my passion fruit but still not that great. They had a lot of drink options and lots of different toppings which I liked, but overall the quality of the drinks/boba wasn't there. Maybe it was a bad day/time but with what we tried, I wouldn't be back. Far better boba in the area. read more

I cannot stress enough how much I love this place! My fiancée and I go there as often as we can. We live about an hour away, but that doesn't stop us from making the drive most Wednesday mornings after work to get an amazing drink from here. The employees have always been super nice and helpful! So far I think Hi Tea has the better version of milk tea in the NWA area, with the brown sugar option. Brown sugar milk tea from Gongcha is my favorite! To order you pick your drink flavor, size (M or L), sugar level, ice level, then toppings. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea, size M, regular sugar, lite ice with boba and pudding. They wouldn't accept my "regular" sugar order so I went with 75% sugar level (which I regret). As soon as I placed my order, the lady taking my order brought out a bowl of boba from under the counter and filled my cup. I was taken back as I've never seen something like this but maybe I've not noticed it from other locations. She also filled my cup with egg pudding and broke it up with the spoon which is also new to me. The drink came out fairly quick. The cup size was smaller than expected. The tea was extra sweet (again, my fault) and the boba was undercooked. With the combination of the latter, I ended up trashing my drink after finishing half of the cup. I would come back if given the chance to try something else now that I am more aware. read more

so i got a lavender milk tea with passion fruit popping pearls. this is probably one of the best lavender milk teas i've ever had. i love the creamy rich lavender milk tea flavor and this was exactly what i was looking for. if you like lavender, GET THIS! i do recommend getting the regular tapioca pearls with this though, but it depends on what you want. they have a size medium and a size large and i got the large which was a little over $4. i will definitely be back to this place. read more
