We had a Shrimp Tempura Sushi Roll which was pretty good and each had three tacos for $2.50 each that tasted as if they were made at a Korean Steakhouse. Not bad, but nothing exceptional. Althought the bartender did a great job, the staff wasn't very friendly and we realized why they were trying so hard to bring some business in.

I'm very picky about my lo mein. I do require at least a bit of freshness to the dish. Many restaurants lo mein will feel weighed down and heavy. I was glad to find out this one wasn't. The tempura was light and crispy just like you would want it. The spicy chicken was good, but beware there is only fried chicken and chilis in this dish. No sauce, so the rice doesn't have anything to give it flavor. Ambience: Caught between a take out and sit down restaurant, you get a chill vibe and unpretentious atmosphere. You could feel comfortable in a pair of jeans and a T-shirt or dress and heels. Just up to you. Not a romantic type place for seasoned couples but definitely date worthy for newbies. Staff: The wait staff were attentive and friendly. I will be going back again before I leave. Probably to try the sushi taco. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this place at all.

I stopped…read morein one recent Sunday evening with my mother and sister to enjoy dinner on our drive back home and we weren't disappointed when we walked in. There was a full house when he walked in but we had no problem being seated by the waitress who took our drink orders. The selection of the buffet is diverse and everything you would want in a good, traditional Southern style buffet with all the staples you would expect. I tried many items and some of the standout items included the: -Chicken Bog -succotash - fried chicken - chicken & dumplins - fat back - fried bonelesss pork chop (we actually had to ask for this because they only had grilled pork chops on the buffet but they kindly fried some up fresh and hot for us and they were sooooo good) As far as buffets go this one was definitely one of the better ones I've been to in a long time. The BBQ itself wasn't anything particularly noteworthy to me but like I said - if y0ou're looking for good souther fixins, you certainly won't leave hungry here.

Started by two friends who wanted to open a restaurant serving food inspired by the Philippines,…read morethe Manila Grille is located in Deerfield Plaza, between downtown Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet. They are only open from 2 - 8 pm on Wed - Sat, so my wife and I made it a point to go there around 3 on a Thursday. We were the only customers during that time, and got to speak at length with Mike, the co-owner. We really enjoyed it, though their pricing could be altered to be more consistent. The plaza and surrounding area isn't much to look at, and the Grille is not visible from the road. One really has to make an effort to get here. We really liked how the inside was decorated, with a mishmash of Filipino culture on one side (including a pretty good mural of Manny Pacquaio) and a large nature scene (painted by Mike) that gets added to with cinema characters when he gets inspired (examples being Chunk from the Goonies, Sebastian from the Little Mermaid, and my favorite: Frank Dux from Bloodsport). There is even an official arm wrestling setup at one of the dining tables, inspired by the movie 'Over the Top'. Drinks are strictly cans (soda for $2) and bottles. The menu is very focused, nothing too complicated, and very tasty. They were out of the wings and burger that afternoon, but we were here for the Filipino entrees so there were no issues. Lumpia Meal ($13.99) - comes with your choice of three lumpia and rice. What's a little disheartening is that the price of the meal is actually higher than if you ordered the items individually ($11.96 : lumpia and one scoop of rice are all $2.99 each) Regardless of the reason, that's not a consumer friendly thing at all. I really liked the variety of the lumpia, which had been fried very well (crunchiness is always good). The gyro was different, with the side of tzatziki sauce adding a lot of flavor. My favorite was the TNA (Taters and Adobo), the mix worked really well. What I thought would work well (the bulgogi mac n cheese) was OK, probably because there wasn't much filling or flavor. Chicken Adobo Meal ($13.99) - no pork adobo today, so got the chicken. It was OK, decent flavor, but small amounts of chicken breast. We added a pork skewer for $2.99. It had been glazed with banana ketchup and grilled over an open flame. Street BBQ Skewers ($13.99) - liked the pork skewers, so got three more in a meal. It has the same addition problem (individually priced, it adds up to $11.96, less than the meal). The meat pieces on these seemed even smaller, and some of the cuts were grisly. Mike did suggest I get the small fruit salad for dessert ($1.49) and it was good. Reminded me of halo halo, except smaller and without the beans. Lumpia is definitely the thing to get here.

A few locals pointed me in its direction, and I'm glad they did. You won't find it anywhere on the menu--this is one of those "if you know, you know" dishes that's worth asking for. The chicken was simply outstanding. The skin was perfectly golden and unbelievably crispy, seasoned just right with a touch of salt, while the meat stayed incredibly juicy and tender. Every bite delivered that satisfying crunch followed by moist, flavorful chicken. It easily ranks among the best fried chicken dinners I've ever had. The meal comes with two sides, but there's one catch: it takes about 30 minutes to prepare. No problem--I happily passed the time with a corn dog as an appetizer. Was that the healthiest decision I've ever made? Absolutely not. Was I smiling the entire meal? Without question. We visited on a Friday evening and it was completely full, however, we got a table pretty quickly. If you're visiting Bar-B-Que House, do yourself a favor and ask about the off-menu fried chicken. Sometimes the best dishes aren't listed--they're shared by locals, and this one is worth being in the know.

We came after going to the aquarium due to the reviews. It started off very well, our server was giving us options for what to get and what tastes better and working with switching out sides , so great customer service on that one! After we ordered ....ghost town. We waited over 30 mins to get our order and once it came cool again. The menu stated the "seasoned fries" no season, the shrimp was battered shrimp fried. The collard greens tasted like straight vinegar and hot sauce. My son said his burger tasted like dirt but they forgot the cheese on his burger. After we ate my husband asked for a refill and our server went MIA. The table behind us even asked if there was a shift change due to no one coming by to help. After a few more minutes went but I stopped the nearest server to ask for a check and a box and she looked as if I asked her an off the wall question , shrugging her shoulders saying "idk , idk where your server is" ughhhh ok lol I guess they don't just help as they go along. Then our server came and we checked out. Overall it's just a tourist spot I think it would be better off going to mellow mushroom next door or hitting up WaWa on the road back home. Food was nothing above "cooked food" the chicken didn't taste smoked, all the burgers should be labeled off as coal Pattie's due to them being so dry. The hush puppies were like dry mattress balls. Just go elsewhere.
