Not only has this crew provided professional service consistently, but this past fall they redid the lawn and retaining wall in my yard. LIke others here, Dennis came out and spent a good deal of time looking over the property and we came up with a plan with specific items to complete. He said he would write it up and send it over to me with a price. Never heard from him, after prodding him several times, he texted me a list of items and a price, but no date. I finally got him on the phone and he said he would complete the job on Tuesday. I sent him a text midday Tuesday to see how it was going, no response. He never came. I call, I text, no response. As a consumer I believe it's worthwhile to do a little homework on a company in order to alleviate the headaches that come with poor service. My expectations as a consumer are simple; do what you say you're going to do, within the timeframe you said it could be done, for the price you said it would cost. I am very happy to say that Dennis exceeded my expectations in every category. Dennis is prompt, professional and he does a great job keeping his customers up to date. If Yelp allowed me to give 6 stars, I would. Dennis seems to be focused on two things: customer service and quality. He is amazing and knowledgeable when it comes to all things outdoor-related. He explains the why's, what's, and how's for every project, and I appreciate the fact that he educates me on every aspect of a job. For example, my wife and I are considering having a tree put in. He told me all about the Japanese Maple, and how it would be a great fit for the spot we are considering. Moreover, Dennis' commitment to customer service is amazing. He's one of the friendliest people I've ever met. Bonus: I have a very protective dog (Cane Corso/Rottweiler mix). My dog took to Dennis like he was her best friend. Like other reviewers mention, Dennis came out for an estimate. He even sent me a proposal for the job, but then he disappeared. I planned on hiring him, but I couldn't get back in touch with him. I'm not going to waste my time tracking down a contractor. If they don't respond after multiple attempts to contact them, then I don't want them working for me. What would happen if you have a problem with their work...I'd guess they really aren't going to call you back then. read more

Our yard was in shambles after our lawn service made sure to keep the lawn mowed, but let the weeds and ivy and such get out of control. We traveled a lot over the summer, so we weren't paying a whole lot of attention to what was happening until it was too late. Ivy reached from the ground to the roof. Weeds had grown that were taller than I am. Both my wife and I tried to attack the weeds, but they had grown past our ability to handle them. So, thanks to Yelp, I found Hi Definition Landscaping. Dennis Swasey was lovely to work with. He came out promptly to look at the house and sent us a very professional proposal to deal with our mess. While it certainly wasn't cheap, it was very reasonable and worth every penny. I have my yard back. Hi Definition will now be coming out twice a month to keep my yard in shape, and with Dennis's help, I'm sure that my yard will soon be the envy of my neighbors. Contacted Dennis to get an estimate and he was very prompt on coming to my residence. However, as we neared coming to agreement on pricing and materials, he disappeared. This seems to be a recurring theme and guess he didn't really need the work. E-mailed and called him with no response. Looked forward to completing the project but don't like having my time wasted. I called Dennis from Hi-Definition Landscape about giving an estimate for a commercial and residential property for a major clean up job and to maintain both properties. He was on time, very knowledgeable about lawn care and what i was to except from him and his crew. His crew did great work and so did Dennis. If i needed him to come on short notice he would. He always took my calls, emails and texts. I would recommend him and his crew to anyone that asked me about lawn care services. He is the best out there that I've seen so far. This guy is a horrible business man. He is not professional, and he and his crew are very lazy. He is very self-centered, and he does not care about the customer. Although his is very knowledgeable about landscaping and able to provide questions, he doesn't respond to customer follow-ups. He also talks a lot about himself. Dennis Swasey is the one I would rely and trust! I had several experiences with different landscapers and I wasn't completely satisfied with their work. I was hoping to find a landscaper that will charge me with reasonable price for lawn maintenance, but did the shoddy work. My last landscaper didn't come without letting me know and terminated our business relationship. This sudden termination forced me to seek for another landscaper. I found Hi-Definition Landscape online and it comes with good website and before/after pictures. I took this as a chance to contact Dennis. He promptly showed up and brought his tablet to communicate with me because I use American Sign Language. He was very patient and answered a lot of questions, and I told him about my budget and ability to afford his services. He was very accommodating and gave me a quote for the service. After one year with Dennis, and I am still impressed with his work! Our email correspondence are top-notch and I referred him to my friends. Seemed great at first. Dennis came out the same day we contacted him. Had great ideas and understood exactly what we wanted. Then he met us at the stone center and helped us pick out flagstone. We were told we would have a quote 2 days later. A week later he gave us a quote that didn't match the work we needed done. When we let him know he revised it but it was still all wrong. Went line by line and asked for a new quote. He said he would have it for me but it never came. If it is this difficult to get a quote I am afraid to think how the project would have gone.
