The service from the technician and then the sales guy was so unprofessional. I needed a new system ($7,000). I went with another company because I was dissatisfied with their service. We used for years without an issue until this year. Now being told they had some employee turnover. AC wellness check done in June, no issues with the system. August, began with AC issues, they came out said the system was low on coolant, they charged an exuberant amt for coolant, this did not resolve the issue. When I called back 3 days later they advised we had a leak and all the coolant probably leaked out. I inquired as to why they would recommend adding $500+ in coolant without disclosing the leak and the possiblilty we could lose the coolant in a matter of days, the person on the phone advised, "this was above her pay grade", she would take the message and have someone call me back. That never happened. I spent the next 6wks sending emails and calling to resolve the bill with no response. Then today I finally reach the same girl. She advises they have no record of us calling them back with a problem so they assumed everything was okay. They blame it on the guy who left and basically will not work with us to resolve the issue. After being a customer of 10 years, I will no longer be their customer. My furnace stopped working. It took two days for someone to come out despite the fact that I have a service contract. The technician who arrived advised me that I would be better off buying an entire new furnace instead of replacing the part. After researching, the part actually cost half what they were charging me, and was covered under warranty, and would not have cost me a thing. I researched HVAC companies before deciding on HGH. They came in early July to diagnose and repair split system previous homeowner installed in 2020. I was told the mechanical fittings weren't tightened properly which caused the coolant to leak. Apparently, this caused my system to have zero remaining coolant and I would need twelve bottles. This would cost approximately $2000. Then in mid-August, my split system was again not working properly. I called HGH and was told that high winds can loosen the mechanical fittings which surprisingly resulted in low coolant. I was informed a leak was found, and repaired as well as a further test to ensure it was repaired. This time I was charged $750. Luckily, summer was over so I stopped using the splits for ac. I tried to use them last month for heat, and get this, completely out of coolant again. I learned my lesson and didn't call HGH this time. If you have an indispensable income and want to continue to pay without addressing the issue call HGH, otherwise stay away from this company. read more

We had the exact opposite experience of this other reviewer. We were referred to HGH by a friend of ours who is a construction engineer/project manager who uses this company often. From the beginning to the end, they were great. Ross, who came out to give us the estimate (we got estimates from 3 companies) was well-versed and truly didn't try to oversell us on a system (we were getting a new furnace, hot water heater, humidifier, and AC unit for outside) and actually steered us away from a pricey dual fan system that we had been considering and that wasn't necessary for our small cape cod home. Manny, who came out to scope the job once we signed the agreement, was also thorough, nice, and easy to work with. When it came time to schedule the job, as we were edging up on the coldest weather of the year (polar vortex! Minus 15 wind chills!) and snow still on the ground, Manny gave us several options of dates for install and was understanding as we flip-flopped on the date that would work best for us, which was appreciated. On the day we had scheduled, the installers showed up ON TIME (between 8-8:15am...when do you get that precise of a window of time?) and ready to go. The four guys who installed our new system were super nice, efficient, and even loved on our misbehaved, attention hungry dogs whenever they had the chance. Goodness gracious, the one gentleman even taught our new dog to give him her paw! The installation went very smoothly and they were clean as could be. As a matter of fact, after they left, you couldn't even tell they'd been there except for the beautiful new heating and cooling system. They even nicely went the extra mile to figure out a solution to keep water from dumping into the furnace from the floor above if the toilet ever overflowed. I know that sounds wacky, but we'd had it happen before and it was a very expensive (years ago...not fixed by HGH) fix, so we'd learned our lesson. Lastly, the price. As I mentioned 4million words ago, we had shopped around. I work in procurement, and know the importance of getting several quotes. HGH came in over $1800 less than the other guys thanks to Ross not overselling us a system too big for our home, and just great pricing. Needless to say, we will be referring everyone we know to HGH in the future, as nothing is more important than personal experience with a company, and our experience was top notch. read more

Our neighbor said that there had been a bad thunder storm a couple of days before we returned home. HGH was very responsive and came right out the following morning. Christopher Rotundo came in and completed the repairs within 1 1/2 hours, and that included servicing the entire system. We were so impressed with Christopher and his work. We agreed to go forward with them on Tuesday, they measured on Wednesday and could've put the system in Thursday but Friday worked better for us. Do not use this company. They came out to our house several times to install HVAC in our new addition. The first few visits they left their trash everywhere and did not clean anything up when they were finished. Coffee cups and trash left in the driveway and in the room they were working on. Trash left outside next to the unit they installed. I thought that was bad until today when I returned home (8 1/2 months pregnant) and found that they had been smoking in the room that they were working on. This is the room that will be our new master bedroom and the room that we will be sleeping in when our new baby arrives in a few weeks. Worst customer service ever. read more
