Servpro was quick to respond when I had an emergency basement flood on 7/4/2026. Unfortunately…read morethey were unable to get to my property as fast as a plumber could so the immediate draining was taken care of prior to their arrival. Servpro techs came around 9am, evaluated the scene quickly and within 1.5 hours had set up two dehumidifiers in the basement. Just before 11 I asked for an update via text and a technician informed me they'd set up dehumidifiers. They asked to set up a time to come in and check the dehumidifiers in the morning. As I don't live in the building but rent it, I had to arrange time to meet with the technician to let him in. He initially tells me 8:30 and asks me to call in the morning. I called in the morning and received no response so I sent a text at 8:15 and received no reply. At 9:18 I received a call letting me know the tech would reach out later. I never heard back so I texted the tech and got no response. I happened to need to stop by the house to let in the HVAC tech to replace a water heater and decided to check on the basement. It's fortunate I did because the 50gallon bucket they'd used for the dehumidifier drains was nearly full and one of the hoses was on the plywood floor causing a puddle and clearly soaking through the floor and under a cabinet. Neither drain line was secured to the bucket, they were just draped into it. I called several times to reach servpro techs. Finally I reached one of them and he said he probably couldn't come by that day. I pushed back and he said he'd try to come by later to drain the bucket. I got confirmation from the HVAC tech, not Servpro that they came by to drain the system. The next day I get a call, we set up a time to meet, they tell me they're going to remove the dehumidifiers. So, to review, I hired servpro just to set up dehumidifiers, they did so with no instruction to me or the tenants on whether to watch them, didn't meet when they said they would on the second day, didn't secure drain lines and drained an unknown amount of water into an area I was paying them to dry and at no point did they provide me with an estimate, a review of the damage or additional remediation work. Three weeks after they removed their equipment I don't get the estimate for repairs that I was promised, I get a bill for $1269 for the experience. Yes, Servpro came on a sunday, but they spent less than 1.5 hours to set up dehumidifiers almost didn't return the next day but did to drain a bucket, caused more water exposure to the floor and returned one final time to remove their equipment. I was informed after the fact that they have a $1k minimum charge. I was also informed I was lucky it was so inexpensive. The office manager Debra ensured me that they were busy and sometimes they can't return to equipment(even if that equipment isn't intended to run unmonitored) so it's ok. She also informed me my story keeps changing, possibly implying I'm lying? Clearly, her first instinct wasn't to get more information, it was to defend and deflect. Also what should be very clear, I wont be doing business with this company again. Home Depot rents their largest industrial dehumidifier for $99/day. Servpro brought 2 for a total of 48-60 hours. I could see $600 for their time, not the $1200+ they're asking. Consider rentals before considering Servpro.

I'm sorry to have to give Joe's such a poor rating, but I have been treated poorly there too many…read moretimes to not say something. I have purchased many pieces of equipment at Joe's over many years ranging from inexpensive replacement parts to whole units costing thousands of dollars and after my experiences of the past couple years I will never return. A couple years ago I brought them an old snowthrower that ran but leaked gas from the carburetor. I was clear about the nature of the problem and that I wanted it fixed. I went back after some time to get the snowthrower and it still leaked gas and didn't run any better than when I dropped it off. Despite paying Joe's more than $200 the unit was just as bad as ever. They kept it and after more time told me it needed a carb. I was angry about that, but at least they put on a new carb for cost. However, they should have done that to begin with since the problem was obvious and I believe the total amount I paid exceeded what I would have paid had they simply replaced the carb in the beginning. Instead, I had to make three trips, which meant getting a trailer at least one more time than necessary. Since I don't own a trailer that in itself was an inconvenience. I eventually purchased a new Ariens snowthrower from Joe's. This is a make I will not buy again. It is a large unit with supposedly a powerful engine, but I'm not happy with it. The controls don't work all that well and I find it awkward to reach over with my right hand to adjust the chute direction on the fly. Low range is too fast and consequently the unit rides over deep snow. Buy a Honda track drive instead! Joe's delivered the new snowthrower a little over a year ago and it was supposed to be all set to use. None of the adjustments worked well despite the fact the unit was set up by one of their techs. The auger continued to turn despite the fact I had released the handle...creating a dangerous situation. Other levers slipped out of position because, again, the adjustments were not done correctly. I told Joe's right off and at first they told me I had to make the adjustments. I was appalled! I had just taken delivery of this unit and they wanted me to correct their mistakes. They did eventually take it back, but the problems with the levers for the chute deflector persisted. I fixed those myself, but I should not have had to do that. After using the unit for a while I contacted Joe's and asked them if they would take it in trade toward a Honda track drive. I communicated with the owner who wanted pics of my snowthrower. I sent the pics and his response was that I should check with sales to see if any Hondas are due in. Really??? The owner didn't know what was coming in! I checked with sales and they said two were due in but were both spoken for. Regardless, I again asked the owner if he would tell me what he would allow on my unit if he took it in trade. I never received a response. I have been treated shabbily and I am done with them. I don't like patronizing big box stores and would rather work with a small business, but not when they treat their customers like they don't matter. I have received much better treatment at big box stores.

Scott's has served us very well. They cleared out overgrown and jumbled land on a hilly slope and…read moreremoved debris and rocks, prepared the soil, and planted 3 cyprus trees, and 3 shrubs. The results were gorgeous and they took care to make sure the area (already spongy) would drain properly. Additionally, Scott's had helped us locate and purchase the trees we needed during challenging COVID times when trees were often hard to find. They provided excellent customer service from the time they scoped out the work through planting, and follow-up care. In addition to our tree project, Scott's did extensive weeding and clean-up in areas that had been neglected for 2 years. Their gardener is knowledgeable about planting and about plants themselves and easy to communicate with. He gave great advice--and worked like an expert "partner" with my elderly Mom who knows a bit about gardening but can no longer get out to do it. The landscapers doing the excavation and tree and shrubs planting and general heavy lifting were smart, knowledgeable, able, strong, adept, resourceful, careful, flexible, courteous and respectful. They were skillful with their equipment and went above and beyond after I'd mentioned my Dad who recently passed loved rocks and if they could add some of them on top of the soil to plant around we'd be grateful--I don't know how he did it but he used his rugged backhoe(?) to delicately pick up rock by rock from the massive piled of dirt and then--by hand--made nice rock arrangements. We are having them back to spruce up the yard and to create a strategy for my Mom's perennial garden in the areas where the trees are planted, and beyond. Professional, efficient, skilled, pleasant, and overall good company to work with.

He said "Nope I'm not taking it because your wife is a bitch" he refused to take the trash and blamed construction on my road for why they haven't been coming.
