I had a disappointing experience at this location. Worse customer service I ever experienced.I was denied a rental after an employee stated that my clothing smelled like marijuana. I explained that I had just exited an Uber that had a strong odor and that the smell did not originate from me, but my explanation was not considered and no alternative resolution was offered.I do not use marijuana and felt that the decision was based on an assumption rather than any observable behavior. The interaction left me feeling unfairly judged and dissatisfied with the level of professionalism and customer service provided. Despite having reservation availability on Expedia and the Hertz website, they had no rentals available. There were numerous people that showed up to pick up their reserved rentals and this happened to. We overheard them say that their websites have no idea what they have available. This is unacceptable. Don't make a reservation with this sham of a company - you most likely won't get a rental, despite making a reservation. read more

Don't rent from this location. They rented my family a recalled van! They're are a fraud and scam you for any bit they can legally get away with. I rented a van from them and not only did the person working not do an inspection with me upon receipt of the vehicle she also did not do one when I turned it in. I turned it in 6 hours early and told her I thought we needed to do a walk through of the vehicle. She asked if I filled the tank and told me it wasn't necessary. I knew all the van needed was vacuumed from a 4 day rental so I trusted that it would be fine just like any other vehicle I have rented. Additional charges of $170 were added to my bill for cleaning. Since I still had 6 hours to turn the vehicle in, I could have done any cleaning she needed and then turned the vehicle in, but she wouldn't have found anything had she done an inspection with me. I went in to ask for a receipt and ask about the charge. I was told by her and her manager that the car was filthy. I told them it did need regular vacuuming but that there wasn't any trash or any smell or anything. They agreed that it was not trashy but said it was sooo dirty. I did not get any explanation about how dirty it was aside from them saying they had to vacuum sand and dirt (?). The windows were not full of fingerprints, or the seats and side of the van were not sticky, nothing like that. The manager said she added extra cleaning fees aside from the extensive cleaning because she found a stain that was round and hard but had no color to it that they could not get it out. I have no idea how true that is or how it got there considering that an inspection was not done on the inside of the car and it was not visible. I asked what color it was (since the interior of the vehicle is completely black). She said it has no color, and she only knew by running her hand on the floor of the car. She said it was in the back floorboard. Very strange to me that this stain appeared after her manually rubbing the floor of the car and that the undescriptive filth was ever there. The car needed a basic vacuuming like any other rental used for 4 days. I have rented vehicles, many, many, many times before and not had any issues. Not to mention that the customer service I received anywhere else in comparison to this place has been 1000% better. They won't even greet you when you go in or move from behind their desk. The fact that they're bypassing interior inspections upon receipt of the vehicle and upon return of the vehicle is very scammy. On top of them being scammy.... they rented me a recalled vehicle! The 2025 Chrylser Pacifica has been recalled. They made sure to tell me it is a brand-new vehicle with only 4,000 miles on it. As I've stated before I have rented many vehicles with my company employee discount and never had an issue. We are very clean people and know the difference between a vacuum and a car that needs extensive cleaning. We did not deserve to have $170 basically stolen from us. I had the same vehicle reserved for this coming weekend. I told them to cancel my reservation and when I logged in to my account I noticed the reservation was still there so I cancelled it myself. I used my employee discount but I have an employee discount at all other rental companies in town. If you have a discount shop around because the other companies will probably take yours too. I will never rent from here again even if I have to pay full price. Since they are affiliated with Hertz, Hertz will do nothing to help you so Hertz in general is a no go for me. Enterprise or Avis are way better, have excellent customer service and I have never had a bad experience with them. They will even pick you up in needed. They do an inspection with you and provide you with a receipt before you leave their establishment. The employees at Eagle Automotive, LLC do not look or give any sign of professionalism. This place is fraudulent, and I wish I would have looked at the reviews before renting from them. I see why they have such horrible reviews. After I received terrible customer service at pick up I still would have rented from them again had I not been taken advantage of. Instead of gaining another customer I cancelled my future reservation, and they will never get another dollar from me. read more

Terrible rental experience after a car accident, will not use Hertz again after the poor service! The small post ignores phone calls and doesn't return them. I had to wait for my car because they didn't return my repeated voicemails. I got a car that was terrible with smoke from a prior renter, called to request a more appropriate vehicle, again no return of voicemails when my calls were ignored. The last straw was today (I never complain) when we returned the rental after a month they say "we've expected this car for weeks" when I called multiple times and had even miraculously spoken to a person about the extension (because my car was still at the shop). If that wasn't enough to be entirely unacceptable, they charged my card $150 cleaning fee for pet fur... when you have a rental car for a month, you need to do basic things like take your pets to appointments and this is so very unacceptable that I am paying this fee. Never, ever again will I rent from Hertz. read more

I recently purchased a used car from Mark and had a wonderful experience. I knew which car I wanted and test drove several from Topeka to Kansas city, At the big car dealerships, all the back and forth with pricing bothered me and when your done and don't like their price the experience got worse, not that way at all with Mark, He was very fair on the price and none of that high pressure sales stuff I got at almost all of the other dealerships. We rented two vans(a mini van and a 15 passenger van) from this Hertz for a week.. We made our reservation 3 months in advance and called to confirm a week before. At that time, they claimed to have received a deposit for only one van, we stated that was incorrect and after some time on the phone, the associated said, they had indeed received both deposits. When we picked up the vans, they gave us a 12-passenger van instead of a 15-passenger. We then had to wait 2 hours for them to correct their mistake. We also confirmed with them that they had received deposits on both vans and the associate said yes, before handing us the keys. The vans worked fine but when we returned them, the associate tried to charge us again for another deposit. After going back and forth with several people in the office, they asked my 70-year-old grandmother to go find her bank statement proving that she was charged. Meanwhile, no one could answer why the deposit had been confirmed at pick-up nor why they gave us the keys if they didn't show the deposits had been paid. In the end, my 70-year-old grandmother got sick from the stress and couldn't make it back to hertz in the 104 degree heat. The manager, Mark, finally said that it was their mistake and did not charge any additional deposits. It's clear that they try to screw their customers by giving them the wrong cars and charging extra money. They know that they have the upper hand because people usually rent cars only when absolutely necessary. It's also obvious that the office is poorly run because no one could explain why we were given the wrong car initially, nor why they confirmed all deposits were paid. We will never rent from Hertz again. read more

Placed on hold for several minutes every time I called. Some of the worst customer service I have come across in a long time. Given a car that had a huge cigarette burn in the driver's seat, the car wreaked of cigarettes, and the seat was wet from a lost cause to shampoo out the smell. I had to be at work, so I drove away. The smell was so bad it turned my stomach in the few blocks I had to drive. When I called to get a replacement car, I was told that was the only car they had at the rate my insurance was covering, and that I would have to cover the difference! This place is a franchise, so don't expect the same customer service and standards you may have found at other locations. I'll never go back. read more

Worst customer service ever. I was charged for tolls, late fees and service charges that were not mine. After numerous emails and phone calls they agreed to credit my account. That never did. They then ignored my subsequent emails and phone calls. I finally had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Very frustrating. I will never do business with Hertz again read more

The last I spoke with the general manager Mark ( May 9th 2017 at 2 p.m.) regarding an agreement of 25 refund on my card due to the customer service I was given compared to my boyfriend (white might I add and me being black) . I also would receive a 50 certificate or voucher which I was told by the general manager would take 7 business days. Both my boyfriend and I have called since then with no response. It is now the 24th of May and nothing came in the mail as of yet, or the issues we've had has been resolved. This saddens me deeply as I feel the treatment I received was poor and communication severely lacked. We called over 11 times from since March and left 4 voice mails and yet didn't receive what we were told. When finally getting a hold of the general manager again by accident he then said he didn't remember and he was not at his desk so he couldn't give the information to me. (coming from a customer service managerial position). I have lived in the midwest for the last 10 years and I know the difference in maltreatment because of the color of my skin. From the minute I hope people become more open to race and start accepting it. If my white boyfriend could feel his black girlfriend feel uncomfortable due to the lack of customer service, this is truly not the place we would like to do business with. read more
