I wish I could leave zero stars. We booked a car to rent from Hertz in Olathe. They called us and said they don't have a car for us and cancelled our reservation. Then also told us that we had to call a 1-800 number to tell them to not charge our card, because there is a strong possibility we will still get charged read more

BEWARE, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS OLATHE LOCATION! If I could give them a zero, I would. I have never rented from Hertz however, I'm a AAA member and they recommended them. I rented a car at a rate of $61 a day for 2 days. I attended a conference and decided to extend by a day. Hertz was closed over the weekend so I put keys in the drop box. I was charged for 2 days at $155.00 a day! My bill went from $130.00 to over $600.00!!! THEY LOST MY BUSINESS AND I WILL TELL OTHERS TO NEVER RENT FROM THEM HERTZ!!! read more

Went to pick up a car with a reservation made two weeks ago and was told there was no car available and that I should try other places. Unacceptable. I rent with various Hertz companies around the nation and throw a lot of money at that company. A courtesy phone call would have been appreciated before I got there or help to try to find another location with a car. But offered no help. Would give a zero if I could. read more

I will never rent a car from Hertz at this location again. We were getting ready to leave for a vacation on a Saturday, so we went to pick up our rental car that we had reserved 2 weeks earlier only to find out that they didn't have a car for us. The manager told us that they didn't have any cars available and he would call us if anyone returned a car before they closed. He then proceeded to tell us they had a pickup. We took the truck and then after leaving on our trip we found out the back door would not lock. Meaning, every night we had to empty out the vehicle. I felt the manger needed training in empathy and compassion. Guess those are learned things and not taught things. Beware! read more

Terrible service. Booked a car only to drive 40 min here to find out they have ZERO cars available. The man was super rude and didn't even try to help. Hertz overall sucks bc this isnt the only time they have done this. Go elsewhere because this place is unpredictable and unreliable. Terrible service, awful worker and poor customer service. never again read more

Booked a car through Travelocity. Arrived to find they had no cars. Luckily our ride was still there to take us back to where we were staying. No call from them. When asked when we could get a car they said next day. I called before leaving still no car, they said they hadn't been returned. They would not call us or anyone with rentals to check on arrival. Terrible customer service, never got rental for any of the days booked. No explanation. Would not go back. read more

If you could give zero stars I would. Reserved a minivan three months ago. Got a call two days before and they said they had too many people reserving minivans and that I wouldn't have a car. No apology. Lots of excuses. Big 12 tournament in town, lots of people renting, and my favorite was we cannot guarantee a certain vehicle. Terrible. read more

Not only did Hertz cancel my reservation the day of due to ZERO inventory my credit card was also Charged the 50$ no show fee. Resulting in my credit score dropping. 1 month later still no refund and CANT actually get ahold of A REAL PERSON. Stay away from this nightmare s*** show of a company. read more

I almost never provide reviews but the experience here was simply awful. Granted, Thanksgiving is a busy weekend but this location is ill-equipped to manage day-to-day operations. Under staffed (employees showing up late), management has zero interest in Customer Care and provided zero options for any of the renters on-site...and many were being turned away due to a lack of vehicles. This location gives Hertz a bad name, Corporate needs to step in (see all the other poor reviews). My recommendation would be to find a different location or use a different rental company. read more

Worst rental experience I have ever had. These guys obviously want to go out of business. Showed up an hr late due to a delayed flight to a prepaid rental and they said they had already given my car to another customer. They made no effort to contact other agencies. Clearly their reputation is not very important to them. Do not go here!!!! Ever!!!! $365 down the drain. How is this behavior legal. read more

negative 1000 is the actual score. terrible customer service, both customer in person and the customer service number. NEVER EVER rent an elect vehicle from anyone unless you own one own one and know all the details. read more

I booked a car about three months ago. I went to pick it up today and they said that they didn't have any cars available. I received no call or email stating that a car would not be available. Because I had no notice I was unable to make alternative plans. Now on my vacation I have no vehicle for transportation. This has been the worst business service I have ever received. The employee's didn't seem to care one bit. Keep in mind they had already charged me for the car rental as well. read more

Wow. What a rude and unprofessional staff. My Car was totaled and needed a pick up at 530pm. Was 10 minutes away and they wouldn't come get me. My insurance company shelled out over 1500 bucks but these clowns didn't care. Sned? Was so rude and didn't care about anything. The car was dirty and the license plates were expired. The office was filthy. Hertz this location needs an overhaul. read more

Hertz is a good car rental and I enjoyed reliable car and the service had been excellent until now, I'm a gold club member and this dude that check me out to rent the car before he would hand me the keys I has treated like a criminal, I had stand in front of the car for a pix taken and say in his phone I promise to bring this car back the dude said we do it in other places, and watch out for a scam that u purchase prepaid gas which I didn't, when u go online and order a car it doesn't say prepaid gas it use to but now it doesn't, this place has gone down here, read more

Hertz Rent A Car - Got this in the deal neat, never drove car like this - Car Rental Near Me - Olathe, Kansas

Management was very rude. We were told different things by different staff. Manager admitted staff was wrong & was unapologetic about it. He made no effort to correct the situation which left us without a car after his staff had told us we would have one. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! read more

I'm a Hertz Gold Rewards Member. I've been renting cars from Hertz, Avis, and Enterprise for 30 years. Not my first rodeo. This is the worst rental location I've ever experienced. Reserved a full sized car on a Monday and received a confirmation for a 6 day rental starting on Wednesday. Received a call 15 minutes prior to my scheduled pickup time that they didn't have a car for me, nor could they locate one at another location. I asked when they would have a car. The response was, "should have one in 4 hours". Called back 4 hours later and still didn't have a car. Asked to cancel the reservation and then got the pleasure of negotiating that myself with their 1-800 Customer Service department. Never again. Save yourself the headache and rent from Avis just down the street. You'll pay more, but when you make a reservation, they actually have the car waiting for you. read more

We flew into KC needing a rental car but experienced a little hiccup when my husband's wallet was stolen on our way out here. Alex Conley was extremely helpful throughout the process of cancelling our Hertz reservation and rebooking (because the original was booked using a credit card and ID we no longer had ). We ended up rebooking a car for a day later than our first reservation and Alex was friendly, understanding and got us a car for the same price as before. Needless to say, he made our rental experience easy and seamless, amidst a lot of stress, which in turn meant we could enjoy our road trip honeymoon that much more! read more

I don't have anything to say beyond that I gave them a $90 down payment to rent a vehicle, and was never given the vehicle. I was unable to comply with their ageist demands that I pay with a credit card due to being under 25 because the only credit card I have is linked with a relatively small, localized account in Northern Wisconsin that's rarely able to process out-of-state transactions. I had on me, at the time, several hundred dollars in cash, not to mention a perfectly-functioning debit card with thousands of dollars on it (both more than enough to cover the fee they were attempting to extract from me). They refused to accept either alternate methods of payment, and I was turned away empty-handed and ultimately unable to attend a family member's funeral in Nevada. Since then, I've tried dozens of times to acquire some sort of refund by contacting both this particular location and the main Hertz agency. Almost every single time, I was either told to call back later because they only had one person managing the counter at a time, or I was sent through hours of transferred calls and holding time which always resulted in them telling me they had no record of me ever having payed them the initial $90. For the record, I have since contacted my bank and had it confirmed that yes, there was a $90 payment made to Hertz Car Rentals from my bank account to their's. tl;dr: They stole $90 and ruined a family reunion, apparently because I'm too young to be trusted with a vehicle they never supplied me with in the first place. read more

One star is the lowest I could possibly rate this Hertz! The manager has a rude and nonchalant altitude. The manager needs to learn when a customer makes a reservation, that are making it on that particle vehicle for a reason. I thought Hertz was in the business or making money, not letting it walk right out of the door. I had a bad feeling about this Hertz just from the looks alone. 2ft of grass lot full of cars = getting no business at all. Still I want to give this hertz in another state a chance. The outside looks rundown and the customer service is ever worse! I have no idea how this particular stays open with the disgusting altitude. This Hertz is the soul reason I will never rent or recommend anyone rent from this herts or any other. read more

I was very happy with the service and the car. The were ver fast and responsive. They even picked me up from the body shop my vehicle was being serviced and dropped me off when it was completed. The car was clean and well kept. I would come back should I need another rental. read more

I thought the staff was spot on professional. Friendly, informed and very helpful. The car was exactly what we asked for and was practically brand new! Our check-in and return went smoothly and without a glitch. I fully intend to use this particular Hertz again. read more

Booked a one-way online less than 24 hours before I needed a car. I arrived about an hour late, but car was ready, had the keys and was out the door in less than 2 minutes! Best customer service I've had in a long time! Will definitely be a repeat customer! read more
