If I could give less than 1 star I would. I reserved a car online for my husband, who was out of town when his car broke down. I chose a 7 passenger SUV due to size and prepaid. The proceeded to call my husband the next day to say that the type of vehicle that I rented was not available and they would have to change his reservation. If it was unavailable then why was i able to secure rental and pay? They wanted to give him a small suv (think Nissan Rogue), but not refund the difference. Brittany, who was the person that called, said that because we prepaid for the rental she couldn't make any changes. My husband was so frustrated that he just said whatever, he needed a vehicle to drive. When I went into our reservation to see what changes were made it no longer existed. My husband got to the location today to pick up his vehicle, to be told he was going to be given a 15 passenger van. After conversation with them, he was then given a Hyundai Tucson. Far cry from the Expedition/Tahoe size we had originally reserved. Then he was surprised with another change to the rental. Evidently during the changes that were made, they did not put that he would be dropping off the vehicle at another location. When told of the error, he was told that because we prepaid changes could not be made. Now remember, they deleted the "prepaid reservation" that I made and they made another one. They should have been able to make any necessary changes to their reservation. The incompetency level at this location is beyond me. How do they function daily as a business? read more

We have a corporate account set up with this company. Every single month they have over charge just buy double or triple. We should only be billed through monthly billing with their corporate office and not their local branch. Every month we have to call this company 20+ times to get this resolved. Every month they expect us to return the vehicle within days after we pay for a month, technically we are set up for a one year contract. They are very rude and disrespectful at the corporate branch. You are a liar until they are proven wrong. We are going to move over to enterprise they have cheaper rates. If I were you I'd look elsewhere trip! read more

avoid this place at all cost. they commited to having a car at collision center for me at 9:00am . i confirmed it twice then on the morning of they said they dont do that. made me wait 45 minutes to get a ride to their place on beltline and NOTHING was ready. I missed my meeting in montgomery waiting in line when i got there to get a car. a car with a 1/4 of a tank of gas and the put 8/8 full on the receipt. the car was filthy. no sense of urgency rude and mismanaged. read more

I had to rent a car after mine got totaled by a drunk driver. Mike worked with me through the whole process and was so patient and kind. Each time I needed an extension with insurance, he took care of it right away. They picked me up from my house to get the car & picked it back up when I was unable. This is an awesome location. They go above and beyond to help you as much as possible. The staff knows the customers by name. Hamilton is super duper. If a car isn't ready when you get there, it's usually because someone has decided to keep the car longer, or it's an issue with the car itself. Even though they work through their lunches and breaks and time, they work fast and diligently to make sure each customer is satisfied. read more

Do not rent from this location. Hamilton King is very unprofessional and he's perfectly okay with mistreating his customers. All he needed to do was contact corporate to clear up incorrect information showing on his end for a customer but he refused to do so. Do not try to rent from them. I asked for a minivan to rent for a week for a family vacation and their price was almost DOUBLE anybody else in town in Mobile, AL. For example they wanted over 900 to rent the minivan for a week!! The guy seemed nice but that's about it with this company. DO NOT USE THEM unless you're going through your insurance company. It seems like every time I rent from Hertz in different locations near me there is drama! This time was no different! My husband I were celebrating our 20th anniversary by going out of town for a few days. I reserved this car a month and a half in advance prepaid in full for it. We arrived at 9:40 a.m. (the pickup time was 10:00 a.m.) . The associate greeted us, and I gave all of the information they needed. She printed out the rental agreement, and told me the rental vehicle was being cleaned, and they would get me the keys shortly. Two other customers came in after me and went through the same process, and were out the door in their rental vehicles (same size vehicles as I rented). The associate then called me back up after 20 minutes telling me to give back the rental agreement with a 2020 Nissan Rogue, and she printed out a new agreement with a 2020 Chevy Equinox, stated that it would be ready in a few minutes. Fifteen minutes later my husband went to the counter to ask when the vehicle would be ready, and another Hertz associate went to check, and came back and handed us the key from under the counter!! The vehicle had been brought around some time before, and we were not told! So at 10:45 we got the key! Next time (and every other time) I will rent from Enterprise (even it cost more). Enterprise doesn't treat me like a second class citizen. read more

I called Hertz the day before I was to have my personal car dropped off to get repairs and they told me they had two vehicles of my choice. However, when they come to pick me up from the collision shop and they take me back to Hertz they tell me that they don't have a vehicle for me in my size. I asked for a smaller vehicle just to get around in and I was informed that they didn't have ANY vehicles available. Now I'm wondering how I'm going to get home from work and then back to work. Stay away! Someone damaged my BMW, and my insurance company had a representative from Hertz call me. I scheduled a 9:00 am pickup from BMW Mobile for January 21. This pickup was scheduled on January 10. I requested a midsize Nissan with Bluetooth capability. The manager of the BMW Collusion Center also talked with someone at Hertz on January 10. Hertz sent no one to pick me up at 9:00 am on the 21st. The manager called Hertz, I called twice, another technician at BMW called. I was finally picked up at 9:41 am. From pickup to completion of paperwork took almost an hour. When I got to my assigned car, it was a Hyundai Elantra without Bluetooth capability. Two representatives at Hertz wasted more of my time; they tried to pair my phone with a car that had no Bluetooth capability. The only other vehicle available was a truck. I was already late for an appointment, so I took the car. On my way to my appointment I realized the car reeked of smoke. If you must use Hertz in Mobile, choose another location. read more

The clerk that rented me the vehicle was on the phone with another customer while waiting on me. We did not discuss what type of car that I was renting (This car was rented due to an accident and insurance paid for it.). I would have paid to upgraded to something that was close to what I drove. Gas tank was on 1/8 of a tank. First place I had to go was to a gas station. The car had a foul oder. Like sour milk. When returned the clerk said that when I rented car it was full. (But they did believe me when I said "No It wasn't, The clerk that rent to me said it was on 2/8 of a tank( which should have been 1/4 but it was really on 1/8 of a tank.) read more
