They said I would most likely get a Chrysler 300 but when I got there they had upgraded me to a Limited edition 2014 Taurus with under 1500km on it. I didn't have to pay anything extra and it was ready within 5 minutes of arrival. The office is quite plain but that doesn't matter if it does the trick. The staff were friendly and helpful. I did ask about a minivan for my next rental and the manager even told me that booking online is always cheaper than booking in store so I will continue to so it that way!

They scheduled the shuttle services that were needed without any problems. There is shuttle service to the airport and the outlet mall plus other places that we did not visit. It is close to the airport and close to many eateries. You can walk to Costco which is literally right across the street. The breakfast is pretty standard fare so nothing special. Did not use the pool or fitness center.

I work for a medical device company and had some equipment delivered by FedEx to be used in a surgery the following day. I had asked the front desk to place it in my room. I go to my room and my package wasn't there. On my way back to the lobby I passed the housekeeping rolling bin that had dirty sheets tossed in it and what looked like the box I was expecting. The housekeeping attendant noticed me standing there and asked if I needed help and I told her I thought that was the package I was expecting in my room. She pulled it out of the bin and I see the box has my name and room number written on it, but had been completely opened with the contents exposed. I spoke with the manager about why the staff was opening packages and then throwing them away. I did not get a satisfactory explanation other than, "this has never happened before." There might be a perfectly innocent reason for all of this, but I'm leaning toward staff looking for something to steal and sell... Be warned, and obviously don't leave anything in your room you don't want stolen.

The beds were very comfortable--not too hard, but also not those balloons-from-The Prisoner swamps that encircle you and pull you down ... down ... down ... The couch opened up into a comfy cot for an extra sleeper. Free breakfasts (but no bacon). As I said, it was easy to travel Southeast to the WEM from this hotel--6 or 7 minutes by car. But the road it's on (100th Ave.) is a one-way 4-lane commuter route, which makes going West back to the hotel a challenge, even with GPS, and reminded me of trying to swim up river. (Not the hotel's fault, I realise.) Finally, the one thing that really makes or breaks hotel stays these days for me: Internet was fast and reliable, and the TV was new, large and modern. I recommend this hotel to folks wanting to be close to the mall, it's a bit far from downtown if that's where you want to be.

Spoke to the credit card company three times and confirmed no issues on our end. It wasn't until a manager came who was able to solve the problem in 5 minutes. The room itself was nice, decently remodeled with microwave/coffee/fridge, which is where the 2/5 stars are coming from. However, the "game room" advertised has only 3 games that you must pay for. If you are traveling internationally I would avoid sadly.

What is weird is when we were checking in, they asked us if our phone number was a different one before finding the correct reservation. Similarly, when checking out, they asked us if we booked through a third-party website even though we booked directly with them. This hotel management system or team seems to be pretty disorganized. I also asked for late check-out twice and confirmed it when I was checking in. However, there seems to be no communication with the cleaning staff. We only booked a night with late check-out for 4 PM, but the cleaning staff knocked on our door several times on a Sunday morning for housekeeping and didn't apologize when we said we had check-out. Overall, it's a nice enough hotel but the questionable interactions with the staff makes me question if we should stay here again, very jarring from our experience with the rest of our trip.

But the location was perfect and the price was right (comparable to the Courtyard and much less than the JW). But it turned out that we were blown away by how nice the Westin was. The rooms were wonderful with a Westin bed, ample storage and a luxurious bath/shower. The staff was warm and efficient and there was coffee/tea every morning. We had complimentary breakfast and while our first one suffered from some things that had been left to cool in the buffet thereafter we ordered a range of very tasty items from the menu. And the pool and gym were 24/7 - a welcome change from most hotels in the US. All in all we had a wonderful stay.

In moments she found me a vehicle and my options for my day out expanded to the possibility of great adventures in shopping. The driver, Mike from Ethiopia, picked me up at home. A great conversationalist, we covered the secrets of injera (the ubiquitous Ethiopian bread that underlies every meal) and the coffee ritual that frames their most delicious beans. I spent thrice the amount of time with Mike than I expected because my wallet fell out of my pocket at home, which I discovered once at the rental branch, so he took me back home and then back to the agency. Smiles all around. This is what customer service ought to be like. This is what builds customer loyalty. Thank you for being awesome, Monina and Mike and Sim. I took the van back, spoke with a representative (who was polite and professional), the problem I needed a van and they didn't have another. They agreed to drop $50.00 off the rental cost and I took the van home and used a disinfectant plant based spray to eliminate the smell. All is good. When my husband returned the van is when the issue began. They claim they couldn't give us the $50.00 discount because we booked through Expedia. Instead they gave us a questionable credit on the back of a business card for our next booking. I highly doubt Expedia is going to honour this. Very disappointed. I'm not going back to that location.
