Made a reservation online and booked a full size for a week without any problems. Staff was super helpful and made it a breeze when getting our rental. Got the Dodge Avenger which is pretty nice having satellite radio, tons if passenger and cargo room, and the usual electronic gizmos and do dads but it is a blind spot nightmare as the rear windows are tiny. If to don't have visa gold for insurance for the car you have the option of paying $28.99 per day for their "everything" insurance where you can literally walk away from any kind of catastrophe and not pay a dim. A little steep but it's worth the peace of mind. Location is in the Abbotsford Auto Mall so it's a bit hard to find if you're searching for it.

They told me that the 1800 number will promise anything but they just give you what they have. I'd never heard that before as a policy and while standing at the counter I called and confirmed that if you book for all-wheel drive then they have to provide it. When I told this to the woman at the counter she just said "well we don't have one so..." The phone line offered to let me talk to someone but it's too late now and have to cancel weekend plans. I was expecting to have a vehicle I needed and not bait and switched. I thought that was the point of reserving one. It also weirded me out that she tried to tell me there was no way to give me proof that my res was actually cancelled until I insisted. Terrible service, verify everything BEFORE giving them your card if you do have to rent here. I only went here because my insurance rented through them for me before. I wish I'd read the reviews before trying them personally.

The service at the counter was stellar, an attendant even came out to the parking lot to help me locate the car, and the vehicle was immaculate. After I returned the car to the airport, I went to check-in for my flight and found out I had missed it, due to 4 km of road construction enroute to the airport. I booked a flight out of the Vancouver International Airport instead, and had 3.5 hours before my flight was due to leave. Went back to the Avis counter, and asked what they could do for me. I was told that I would actually be doing them a favor by taking a VW Golf to the Vancouver Airport, as it needed to be returned anyway. No extra charge for drop-off, or for renting another car, as I was still within my 24-hour "window" for returning the vehicle for that day's cycle. Again, the car was immaculate. Returning the car at the Vancouver Airport was absolutely painless. Staff was so incredibly considerate, respectful and polite. I would not hesitate to rent from Avis again at these locations!

After 28 phone calls, totalling over 8 hours of trying to get this vehicle replaced UNSUCCESSFULLY, we decided to keep this vehicle and finish our vacation....driving this vehicle with a broken window, in the rain and weather temperatures down in the 40s. Some of the conversations included: #1, they had a vehicle for us 40 miles away, we drove to the Abbottsford, BC airport to trade it out. We got there, 5 SUVs in the parking lot and they said they didn't have one for us. #2, you can drive your broken vehicle 2 1/2 hours back to Seattle, but no confirmation that there would be one since Seattle National wouldn't answer their phone. #3, you need to wrap up the window and protect this vehicle....this is the driver's side door...how do you drive a vehicle when you can't see what's on your left side. National does not understand customer service, they are not willing to help out when there is a problem. There was never a report number given, just passing us around to someone else.

They had one car that we could use, we were told, and we took it. We were a (typical?) target of opportunity, having no option and too shell-shocked to question it. When cleaning the car out to return it, we found the bill for the previous rental -- $600 less, just half what we had paid. We still anticipate good service in Winnipeg, but remain unhappy National would stick it to a good customer in an emergency.

Truly impressed with how such a big company…read morecan allow procedures to fall a part like in our case: We returned a car around 6pm on a weekday which is out of business hours at Abbotsford International Airport - they are now closed at noon it seems. There were nobody at the counter, we followed all instructions provided for return. Pristine car, took all paper garbage out from the doors, not a single item inside. We are tidy people, respectful for our own space and all rentals we do. Didn't even have a single rainy day during our 5 days rental. After a month we realized that there were no deposit return. No communication from Enterprise whatsoever . We learned today that they charged us $250 cleaning fee and refused to return deposit. Customer service at the Head Office was not helpful. We've been told that regional manager is going to contact us about this issue and never heard back from them. No response from this branch either. They do what they want without any explanation and you need to chaise them back for your refund. Total scam! Avoid dealing with Enterprise if you can. It will save your time and money.
