He even upgraded me so I could get on the road quickly, which I truly appreciated. Bryan handled my check-out and he was amazing. Although he usually works at the Huntington location, everything was fast and smooth. I was running late, and on top of that, he went out of his way to give me a ride to my destination. I highly recommend Enterprise, and especially the Westbury location--it's the one I always use, and the service never disappoints.

I called and canceled and made a regular reservation utilizing my Enterprise app. Mile was Friendly And helped us rent a car. He even dropped is off at the Westbury LIRR the next day. The first car that we had literally leaked oil over our driveway within a few hours. The second car after returning the first one had a seatbelt that could barely close you had to get the right angle. Clearly they thought I was crazy now bringing in my first two cars the third one was absolutely fine thank goodness. Everyone is kind but I think that there is a better system for checking the cars. They are rushing too much and they get a lot of business possibly because the Hempstead one closed. This should not supersede making sure that the cars are safe, in working condition, and not going to ruin private property.

THEN I RECEIVED A NEW CHARGE FOR 76.41!!!! I spoke to their representative (that would be too long a story) who agreed she saw no reason for additional charge. I finally had to call my bank to dispute the charge and block Budget from any future charges. I have filed a complaint with the NY Attorney General's office and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). In my opinion, this is a company to avoid.

I always book the basic car, but they seem to have a variety of different cars and sometimes I get a free upgrade like a Jeep Wrangler. Once the staff learned that I like a quick checkout with an email receipt, they made sure I was able to easily drop off the car (since I'm usually running to catch a train at the adjacent station). FYI, this location is about a quarter mile from the Hicksville train station and is walkable back and forth. One time there was only 1 staff member working and 2 complicated rentals ahead of me, so it took over 20 minutes to get the car, but it only happened once.

I After, I brought up bait and switch being an illegal practice, what do you know, they found a bigger SUV on the lot. Not the Tahoe or Expedition I was promised, but we all fit. For background, when I went on Monday, there were numerous large SUVs on lot. When I went on Friday, there was only one which I thought was mine. They told me that one is reserved. Sounds like some fishy business going on there.

One major problem... there was no vehicle for me and the staff blamed me for not calling to confirm... REALLY?!?!? There was a phone call to me, which I returned TWICE. One time I left a message confirming the vehicle and the other time the voicemail was full. The day after my calls, I received the second of two emails with confirmation numbers on them. I arrived as planned and NO VEHICLE. The staff was not only rude, but did nothing to apologize or try to get me another vehicle with someone else. They blamed me for not confirming the vehicle. I finally left after pleading my case for 15 minutes. I played the voicemail I received and showed them the two calls. I returned to them I can see they were getting aggravated with me once I told them it's all on tape. They were directed to stop talking by one of the workers behind the desk. In short, I was told that two email confirmations with confirmation numbers doesn't mean anything because it didn't come from a phone call. HELLO?!?!?! THIS IS 2025! Unbelievable. And yes, I waited two days to write this review so I could digest what actually happened. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There are not many reviews for this company and I assume the positive ones that are there must've been made up by them.

However, the manager informed me that there was a low inventory of undamaged cars. He gave me a Chevy Camaro with front bumper damage, which the customer service representative noted on my receipt. The customer sitting next to me was returning her rent a car. She said that she also had been given a damaged one and that she was Blessed to make it back to New York alive. She claimed that the car was barely operable. The interior of the Camaro is dusty. It might not have been sanitized before I drove it off the lot. Enterprise has jeopardized my health in these days of increasing COVID-19 risk levels. I had to sanitize the car myself with my own wipes. The oil indicator light came today, Mother's Day, signaling low oil, and because all Enterprise offices are closed today, except the airport ones which the at-fault driver's policy does not allow me to use, I am unable to exchange this car for another one. Tomorrow I plan to get an exchange at another Enterprise office--one with a higher inventory of undamaged cars and better Yelp reviews.
