The old classic bait and switch. Went on a Monday for a car needed for Friday. I needed an SUV, they promised it. I go Friday, they want to give me a van or little SUV that wouldn't fit all of us. I After, I brought up bait and switch being an illegal practice, what do you know, they found a bigger SUV on the lot. Not the Tahoe or Expedition I was promised, but we all fit. For background, when I went on Monday, there were numerous large SUVs on lot. When I went on Friday, there was only one which I thought was mine. They told me that one is reserved. It's a Seinfeld episode! I made a reservation for a car at Enterprise in Bellmore. I got there at 10:30 for my 10:30 pickup, and they told me that there were no cars available and that they were working on getting cars from other locations. There were 7 people ahead of me in the same situation. I waited for an hour without a single update until I finally decided to go elsewhere with my business. "The reservation keeps the car here" is apparently not applicable at Enterprise read more

I made reservations online at this Enterprise located at 2900 Merrick Rd, Bellmore, NY 11710, On 11/16/2024 and returned it on 11/27/2024 a total of 11 days. I can tell you from making a reservation online to visiting the place to returning the vehicle was simple and easy. First, I found coupons and joined the free loyalty program to save even more. I also took advantage of a free pick-up service they provide. I called the morning of the pickup to make sure everything was in order and scheduled the pickup at my address to their branch it was simple. I was picked up by a young man named Mike he was cool and explained everything to me as we drove to the facility where I was met by the entire staff who were all polite, I was taken care of by a young woman named Tacara she was very nice showed me the car went over it explained it all I was in and out very quick, I was also prepared with my NY driver's license and a Credit Card with enough funds to cover the rental and it was all in my name all legit unlike some shady characters coming in with no license and no card or information in their own name like really how dumb are you. The return was also very fast and simple I returned the car and a young man by the name of Ryan was very cool checked over the car and helped with the return had a slight problem they made it right all employees I met were very professional besides the people I mentioned I also dealt with the manager and assistant manager who also helped me and were very professional and accommodating thank you Enterprise at Bellmore for a great experience Happy Holidays to you all. read more

This location is the worst place you can rent a car from. When I went to pick up my rental, the guy did a quick run through his name was Kevin I believe. He said the car has a couple of wear and tear from usage and I should not worry about that. When I dropped the car of I dropped it off at the repair shop and they had sent someone to pick it up I did not hear anything from them until the next day and they started blowing up my phone when I was at work saying I damaged the vehicle and that I must give them my insurance information before 5 o'clock and that I would not be affected. A couple of day passed I get an email stating that I have to pay over $900 dollars and there is no impact to the car. read more

Terrible experience. They gave us a car that reeked of cigarettes - full size sedan which we needed bc we have kids and need the space. I wouldn't even let the kids in the car bc it smelled so strongly. We call to get it changed, they say they will call us back at noon when they have new cars, no call. The next day we call again, the employee Ryan said come at 10:30am we'll have a new car to swap it out for - we confirm that it will be the same category or higher and he says yes. We show up at 11:15am - no cars of that category are available on site - Ryan starts talking to his manager about getting a car from another spot - we explain we don't have time for that, we were told a car would be ready for us. Neither Ryan or the incredibly rude manager Hannah acknowledge that they told us the wrong info, and don't do anything to try to make it right. I agree to take the smaller Sedan bc I'm so frustrated and want to leave. Get in - it reeks of cigarettes even worse. They must be chain smoking while "cleaning" the cars. Total disaster, horrific service, don't go here. read more

I have rented many cars through Enterprise Bellmore NY. I've always had a great experience, and the one time there was a small problem, the staff was courteous and fair about working things out with me. They obviously want return customers, and if you are polite and reasonable, they can adjust things accordingly. I witnessed firsthand a worker being berated by a spoiled, entitled customer. Personally, I would've came over the counter and choked them, his calm demeanor, even at his young age was admirable. 18 months ago they got a new manager, she is terrific and very intelligent. I really thought the days of the old bait and switch were over! Booked an economy car on-line and when I went to pick it up I was told they only had a Range Rover for $250 a day or a pick up truck for $200 a day. What a giant waste of time. The best part was the girl behind the counter who alluded to the fact that this was my fault. She said I should have called and this happens with a last minute booking. Lol... I went on-line picked a car and booked it. What is the difference if I booked it a month ago or 5 min ago?? C'mon Enterprise you guys should be better that Ok update: received an automated response to email them. Lol.... emailed them and...... nothing. I'd take the one star away if I could! read more

My experience with enterprise was great. I was in a car accident and while my car was getting repaired needed needed a rental. The insurance company sent me to Hertz, but when they didn't have any SUVs that day (I was surprised a rental car company was out of SUVs honestly) my auto body shop called Enterprise for me. Stephen from Enterprise picked me up from the auto body shop within just minutes of being called. He put me at ease immediately (the accident had me stressed). He quickly got me into my rental car, a Mazda CX-5. The car itself ran perfectly the entire time I had it. I barely even minded that mine was getting repaired because I enjoyed this rental. I just dropped the rental off about an hour ago, and I forgot to catch the name of the guy who helped me but he checked me out super quickly. Literally, less than 10 minutes. Then they dropped me back off at the auto body shop to pickup my car. read more

FOLLOW UP TO MY YELP REVIEW I DID LAST WEEK. I received an email from this useless company and Terrible customer service from there customer care dept, about the issue I had and have. Apparently no one gives a S.... about there customers or the Experience with one of their offices. Lisa their customer svc rep was so concerned about the issue I had. So I sent a follow-up email explaining the problem and no one has ever gotten back to me. It is a disgrace when they initially had a concern about my problem and now it falls on deaf ears. BOTTOM LINE IF YOU WANT A RELIABLE COMPANY DONOT USE ENTERPRISE CAR in Bellmore or anywhere in the country. THEY SUCK!!! I made a call to another rental car company the same day and they got me a car the same day. Reserved an standard car. The only car they had was an Elantra. I went to drive it and I couldn't see out the windows. The floor mat was shredded. The car was filthy and smelled. I went back in to tell them and they said they only had this or a Minivan which I didn't want or reserved. There was a whole lot full with cars but they said those cars were not rentable. I never experienced such filth at a rental place. I would never recommend enterprise!!!!!! I'd rather walk in the freezing cold than rent a car from them!!!! read more

Honestly no complaints at all. I had to rent a car in Philly to drive home with and return it here. I worked with James who was very very nice and accomodating. I dropped off car and he drove me back home. I only paid 40$ for the car and it was a cute little one. I am just now waiting for my refund so i can slowly drink my days away during this mess. read more

Their sales people DO NOT tell you the price you are actually paying. My car was hit and I needed a replacement vehicle. My insurance paid $50. I rented a Toyota rav4. Enterprise NEVER in formed me that my final cost would be $85 a day!!!! 75-90 minutes in their store and not one employee told me what the real price would be. NOR did they tell me I would be paying the same price as one would expect to pay for a BMW X7! This could not have been a worse experience. DO NOT rent from here !!! After my experience today, I would NEVER want to come back here!! I came in for a rental car because of a minor fender bender. When we arrived in there, the employees were very busy laughing, texting and sharing inside jokes. They seemed bothered to help. They told us the car would be there within "10 minutes", so the person who came with me left because 10 minutes is a reasonable wait time. Well, clearly no one at this Enterprise took math class, or even took a driving class, because 10 minutes turned into 45 minutes to an hour. I was waiting and waiting and waiting and saw MULTIPLE people come in and get serviced before me. The staff was very busy Snapchatting, making PERSONAL CALLS ON THE ENTERPRISE PHONES, and sitting around instead of calling the person who was supposed to get me my car that was supposedly down the road. When my car finally arrived, I was skeeved out. They claimed it was clean, but it was a crusty, old Chrysler 200 sedan. I literally felt like I was in an old grandpa's car. I drove it home and immediately drove it back because I would not drive in it. They gave me a MINI VAN and offered me to wait 45 minutes to get me a smaller car. They wanted to make me wait a total of almost 2 hours for a normal, clean car? Are they kidding? I will be filing a complaint with Enterprise personally because I am so horrified and appalled by their lack of knowledge, customer service, or general help. read more

Ordered a $30 aday car....they gave me a $50 aday car with the reasoning that the insurance would cover it. Knew my car repairs were going to take extra time because of extensive damage and delays due to covid pandemic so I asked them to give me the less expensive rental in case the repair went more than 30 days. They said they would call me back. They failed to do so. Next day had an appointment for the car switch which they didn't keep. The following morning I brought the car in and switched it out. The repair did take 34 days and gieco covered the total cost of rental. Checking my credit card.... I find a charge of $53 , call Enterprise for some more run around and finally after 5 days told they will issue credit. It is another 6 days and still the charge is on my cc. They said, "No". They can give me some other garbage for the same price. We haggled. We bartered. They won. I lost. They said I returned the car with 1/8 gas after I stopped and filled it up right before returning it. No one inspected the car or did a walk through with me and charged me another $45 for gas after I just put $40 in to return it full. Absolute terrible customer service. read more

I have rented with this office many times and always received excellent service. Recently I needed them after my car was involved in a bad accident and they were again amazing to deal with, handled everything for me which was much needed after an accident and having my hands full dealing with insurance, body shop, etc. Everyone in their office is very professional and they strive to make sure you are 100% satisfied with both your rental as well as their level of service. read more

I was in a car accident on June 29, 2021. Initially, I set an insurance claim up through my provider, however a few days later, the other party accepted 100% liability, so we switched the claim to their insurance provider. I have rented plenty of cars in the past, from enterprise, as well as other rental companies as well and I have NEVER dealt with the hassle I have at Enterprise in Bellmore. I go in to retrieve my rental, granted it was a week before the holiday weekend, so I went in assuming availability would be limited. Initially, tried renting me a mini-van, I refused. Then they had one other option only, which was a Jeep Wrangler. So, naturally I chose the jeep. The process to rent was less than seamless, and a major headache to be blunt. The individual initially helping me was the "manager," Alexandra Carlino who should be FIRED immediately. She was brash, and less than accommodating to say the least. Once the claim was switched to NOT my insurance provider, I received call after call multiple times a day telling me I needed to give an updated method of payment. Mind you, the $300 security deposit had already been paid at time of pickup for the rental. I refused to give an updated card, as I was told I would receive a bill once I knew when the work on my vehicle was done and when it was time to return the rental. I was told by both insurance providers how the process works, yet Enterprise tried charging my card WITHOUT my authorization, which is ILLEGAL. I am less than pleased with the "service" received at Enterprise in Bellmore. After the harassment and continuous calls, the body shop owner decided to call the manager to explain how things work (though unsure why Alexandra was unaware considering she'd been in the business for quite some time, incompetence at its finest). All said and done, they should NOT have tried billing me, as we are unaware of the timeframe for when the repairs on my car would be done, hence not knowing how long I would need the rental. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND AVOID ENTERPRISE IN BELLMORE AT ALL COSTS! read more

What a fantastic rental car experience!! Every aspect of my 33 day rental was amazing. When I first walked in I was greeted by the manager, and directed to the person who assisted me with the rental. When I had issues with the car on day 28, they swapped my car out, without any hassles, and finally when I returned the car, they were extremely courteous and helpful. Two days later I received a phone call from the manager to make sure that my experience with this office was exceptional. Now for the best part!!! I accidentally forgot my Canon MarkIID along with additional lenses in the back of one of the cars, and they not only found it, they hung on to it until I came back for it five days later!!! So welcoming and really made me feel at ease with everything. The staff is amazing, the cars were clean, the store was great, this entire experience was incredible. Three years ago, someone backed into my car while I was in a Stop and Shop parking lot. While my car was in the shop, Geico rented me a car from Enterprise and I had an amazing experience. So, when I came into NY to visit my family and need to rent a car, I went back to Enterprise. I had the worst experience ever. First car I had to wait an hour for Enterprise to clean the car because the car wasn't ready for my reservation. They upgraded me for free because they didn't have the car I reserved, but the first car I received had been rented by a chain smoker. Enterprise staff had sprayed Febreeze in the car to mask it, which just made it worse. So I brought this car back and received a Nissan Sentra which had breaking issues. The whole car shook when you stepped on the brake. So I had to call every Enterprise from here to Ithaca to get a replacement car because there were no cars available. The replacement car was a Toyota Camry that had a check engine light on and brakes were even worse than Sentra's.  When I brought it back I asked to speak to a manager about all of these issues, but there wasn't a manager there, so they stated they would give a call back, but never did. Finally a week later they were charged be for charges not agreed upon and I still am waiting to speak to a manager.  The lack of customer service and empathy is alarming. This would be the last rent a car company I would ever want to work with. They do not maintain their cars and have fraudulent billing practices. read more

Wasted our time. Our car insurance company made a reservation for a rental after an accident. We showed up and they only had a few cars that cost more than the $50 per day insurance limit. Pretty sure they were lying about the costs to make an extra dollar. They said they called around and no other nearby branches had cars. I made one phone call to another branch and they had cars within our budget. Either the staff didn't know what they were doing or they were trying to take advantage of family who was just in a car accident. read more

Four months and 7 emails later from customer service saying thank you for your comments -someone will call you + 2 unreturned Voice Mails to the District Manager , I am moving on with an official complaint to the BBB.
