I went to Shopko Optical in Waukesha because it was the only place in the area that would accept my insurance. Dr. Finnell knew exactly what she was doing and quickly identified the problem. Turns out my previous optometrist (who was NOT associated with Shopko) had adjusted my prescription in the wrong direction, and now I am going to have to ease into my new one in stages so my eyes can adapt to the changes in steps. The entire staff at Shopko Optical Waukesha was a pleasure to deal with. Hannah helped me select a pair of frames that fit my head and my budget. She also did a great job with pre-exam testing and post-exam fitting. Deanna was extremely helpful, and I feel sorry for the extra trouble I caused her. It had been a while since I last got glasses, and I couldn't remember which lens material worked best for me. I see much better with Trivex, but I got confused and ordered Hi-Index instead. When I got home, I checked receipts from my previous eyeglass place and realized my dumb mistake. I called the store and explained the situation to Deanna, and she was super nice about it. She had to cancel the existing eyeglass order, create a new one and transfer the payment. She even refunded the $40 difference in price to my credit card - something that at least one vision center I had dealt with in the past would not do. Oh, and when I went back to the store to pick up my new paperwork, I got the chance to chat with Dr. Finnell a little more. We decided my eyes could tolerate a somewhat larger change in strength after all. So, she tweaked my prescription on the spot and gave me a new one - which caused Deanna to have to make ADDITIONAL changes to the eyewear order. These people deserve recognition for the trouble I put them through, especially because they handled it with such cheerfulness and professionalism. The nature of the work I do requires me to maintain perfect vision correction, and that process gets increasingly difficult as one ages. As a new customer at Shopko Optical Waukesha, I was apprehensive and a bit confused, but the competent and caring team there was able to help me get everything sorted out. I look forward to returning to this location for all of my vision-related needs.

When I went to pick it up the second time, IT WAS THE WRONG SIZE AGAIN. Clearly they don't know what they're doing. I understand making a mistake the 1st time but to make the same mistake again is unacceptable let alone not finding the error until they had me drive over there to pick it up. They could have at least checked the lens size before calling me TWICE and telling me the lens was ready to pick up. I will never order glasses there again.

I was diagnosed with a cataract in my right eye in spring by the corner eye glass shop and I wound up having cataracts in both eyes and completely blind by fall in one eye. My Dr and surgeon was Breanna N Aldred who did my cataract surgery. Surgery was easy and it didn't take very long, the prep took more the time. To my fu#king amazement my eye went from totally blind to seeing perfectly the next day after surgery and I was told that this is the first day and it's still going to improve with the healing process. I have never had a surgery let alone an eye surgery so it was a little nerve wracking but it was very easy with an excellent result. I would definitely recommend Dr Breanna N Aldred.

Insurance covers this place just as well as the corporate chains, who spend part of their overpricing on bait and switch advertising.
