But my fiancé is going for her interview in a couple of days and we expect she will have her visa soon. After 13 months of silence, USCIS finally processed the initial application. Since then, there has been quite a bit of interaction. Many forms to be completed and submitted and a ton of other preparation. I have to give a should out to Trinity Hsu, Toni's new paralegal. She is absolutely amazing! She is so fabulously organized. Explains things thoroughly, replies quickly and completely and is as nice as she is competent. She's kept the process moving a long and has kept us comfortable with the process. Toni conducted a mock interview to prepare my fiancé for her upcoming interview with the US consulate. It was really helpful! It think it will make a big difference in how things go during the real thing. I am so pleased with the attentiveness and support we get from XLG.

They are great at speaking to anyone and are compassionate enough to help you in a time of need. I think that anyone and everyone with tenant needs, should come to this firm. If it weren't for them, I do not know where my family would be. I am very fortunate and lucky to even know them. They will do what they can to help you. Definitely come here if you need any help with tenant issues. These are great people. I cannot express that enough.

I retained Mr Pontone to help me with an eviction case (the building was being sold)…read more He didn't update me as to status of the case, made court appearance appointments without consulting me, pressured me to take a deal (subsequently deleted the text exchange bc he knew what he was being dodgy, and took a contingency fee when he knew that I would be receiving a settlement (keys for cash) in addition to the retainer (which was subtracted from the settlement). So essentially, I got pretty shoddy service while he got an additional $7K for not very good representation. I do not recommend.

I'm still recovering from a broken ankle and walking with a walker, I cannot move right now at all. I was given a free lawyer by the city, but he didn't seem to care at all about my case. I had no choice but to drop him and hire Michael. I attached a picture of that Lawyer's reaction Apparenly Michael's made quite a name for himself!!! He struck a deal giving me free rent for the rest of the year, because he is a meticulous hero who found a flaw in my landlord's paperwork. He is a bloodhound! The first time I hired him (2016), he found a flaw in the paperwork my landlord filed to make it no longer a rent stabilized unit. I could have stayed with extremely cheap rent for the rest of my life, but I could not deal with the landlord who worked right downstairs anymore and left with a settlement instead. He really cares and pays close attention to your case. His fees are also extremely reasonable, not charging you a half an hour for a quick text message etc. This man is like a pitbull that was trained to landlords. I love him

Everything was handled by her staff -- no one-on-one interaction with the actual attorney, even after hiring them. What made things worse is that once I paid and retained their services, communication became nearly impossible. Every time I called, I was told the team was busy, and no one ever returned my calls. I felt completely left in the dark and unsupported during a very important process. I expected more transparency and direct involvement from the attorney herself. Unfortunately, my experience didn't reflect the glowing reviews I saw online.

Not sure if I am comfortable hiring a lawyer that would not speak to clients I understand that the paralegals are trained and run everything by the attorney, but it would've been nice to even get a 5 minute introduction phone call at least. Edit: thank you for responding graciously. I don't think it will be a deal breaker for me as much as I previously thought. Your firm has quite a great reputation, even without your direct involvement with clients. I will update the review again after I come in for a consult. Here's to hoping it'll go up to 5 Stars soon!

Alex gave me a call just a few hours later that evening, the office sent me an engagement letter the next day, I was going over my contract with Laura later that same week. Of course I reviewed the contracts myself, however I don't know what I don't know. On our phone appointment, Laura walked me through every paragraph to make sure I understood it all correctly and made sure to add in what I needed before sending a drafted revision. By the end, I was comfortable with what we drafted and I signed the contracts. I recently worked with her again, and the process was seamless. I had a very last minute opportunity and needed the contract reviewed quickly. I actually forgot to send her a copy of the contract ahead of time and sent it in minutes before our phone appointment. She was able to look it over anyway and we continued with our phone appointment as scheduled! We had our phone appointment on a Friday and she had the drafted revision back to me on Monday. I did not expect the turnaround to be so quick, but I am grateful that it was. The initial fee was $1200 I believe (I had 1 contract and a second smaller contract). It would've been a bit less if only had the one contract to go over. The second time I was given a discount as a returning client, around $800. Worth every penny in my opinion. All of my communication with Granovsky & Sundaresh has been pleasant and efficient. I'd absolutely recommend working with Laura. She's personable, friendly, and quick to respond.
