They helped give me the best anniversary gift I could have ever asked for: no evidence of disease in my husband, who was diagnosed in April 2024 with stage 3A metastatic testicular cancer. They guided him through months of chemotherapy, adjusting it as necessary (and it was very necessary at times, like after week 2, when bleomycin completely obliterated his WBC count in a 48 hour span and landed him in the hospital w/an opportunistic infection), and checking in on him even when he didn't have an appointment to make sure he was doing okay. The outpatient infusion center staff is fantastic, and is beyond impeccable at their job-they are truly amazing, kind, and extremely competent nurses and techs. I hate that I know any of the staff of Karmanos, but I am so grateful that the staff I've met and those who have cared for my husband have gone so far above and beyond to ensure that he received-and continues to receive-top tier care in a really shitty situation. Oh, and one more thing: as always, fuck cancer!

Good and caring medical treatment is about the whole experience from start to finish, not just the doctors, and that full positive experience is sorely lacking here.

After he was done, he asked me what i wanted. I told him my husband need his blood drawn. He asked for my husbands date of birth and name and then told him to go sit and wait. I tried to explain to him that my husband was hard of hearing and he got nasty with me. I asked that he explain to the lab tech to speak loudly when she came out to call him. This old man told me "Oh he will hear her all right. She got a loud voice" He was really rude.

I first came here seven months ago for the Walk In Clinic but they had limited hours back then when…read morethey had only recently opened. So I went to another location for services. Today, my wife sprained her ankle. So I called to verify their current hours and was told they were open until 8pm. We drove there for them to see if anything was broken or just sprained. I went in to borrow a wheelchair and the lobby staff were very helpful and sympathetic holding the doors for us as we came back inside. Then one of them walked us back to the check-in area for the clinic where another friendly professional gathered the basic information and then checked my wife in and told us where to wait to be called in. After sitting for only a few minutes, a nurse came out and led us back to one of the exam rooms where she took all the usual vitals and asked questions about what happened, where it hurt, etc. A few minutes after she left, Dr. Thompson came in and reviewed the information, and then examined her foot and ankle. Next came X-Rays, and then back for the doctor to review them and tell us her diagnosis: a broken heel bone! Twenty minutes later with a splint and crutches and an appointment to be set up with Orthopaedics next week, we were on our way to the car and off in search of ice cream for my good girl! Everyone we dealt with, from the greeters at the entrance to the nurse and the doctor, was very professional and at the same time friendly and caring. The facilities are relatively new and, as such, clean and very functional. We've almost always been happy within the Henry Ford Hospital System and now we have a new and closer location for our needs.

My experience at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital was deeply disappointing and, frankly, unacceptable. From…read morethe moment I was admitted, it became clear that patient care was not a priority. The staff appeared disorganized, unresponsive, and in some cases dismissive of concerns that should have been taken seriously. One of the most alarming issues was the complete lack of basic comfort and proper facilities. The heating and cooling system in my room was not working, leaving the environment extremely uncomfortable for an extended period of time. In a healthcare setting, where patients are already vulnerable, this is simply inexcusable. Even more concerning was the level of neglect I experienced. After being admitted, I was not properly attended to--I was not fed in a timely manner and went far too long without being seen by a doctor. Being left without proper medical attention after admission is not just frustrating, it raises serious concerns about patient safety and standards of care. Communication throughout my stay was poor. I had to repeatedly ask for updates and basic information about my condition and care plan, often with little to no response. Call buttons went unanswered for long stretches, and requests for assistance were delayed or ignored. Additionally, the overall environment did not feel clean or well-maintained, which only added to the discomfort and concern. For reference, the hospital's contact information is: DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital +1 (313) 966-3300 6071 W Outer Dr Detroit, MI 48235 United States I understand that hospitals can be busy, but there is no excuse for the lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic standards of care I experienced. I would strongly urge others to think twice before seeking care here.
