Called Wooten to pump a clogged septic tank on a mobile home rental property. After taking two…read moredays to show up they spent 5 minutes to tell me that the tank could not be pumped since it was under a concrete patio pad. They left and then charged an $85 service fee 2 months later for doing nothing. Really? So I called Quality Pumping out of Lakeland who came the next day and found that the tank was in the crawl space under the mobile but not under the concrete patio. They pumped it immediately and charged me $100 less than what Wooten quoted. Do yourself a favor and go directly to Quality Pumping first.

We have the new one which I definitely prefer to the one my parents had from 1988. In the office I had spoken with Sarah to set up my first inspection. Very personable, patient and had me set up within a week's time. Mike had come out to do the inspection, I unfortunately had stepped out but he took the time and explained everything that needed to be done and why over my Ring camera and Francis called me a day later to set up the cleaning. (Septic was not cleaned out from previous owner, good news is we get to start fresh!) Francis called yesterday to verify time for technician to arrive. Messiah arrived this morning, was extremely nice, explained what he was doing answered questions and that once he was done that another technician David would be by to turn off the water and let me know what we will need to do going forward. I didn't know how full the tank needed to be so an hour later I called and spoke with Francis asking if I needed to turn off the water and she said she would check in with David and put me on a brief hold. She got back on the phone not a minute later, as David was pulling up, to let me know he was almost here. Honestly, everyone who works phones should be as nice as Francis! David introduced himself, he explained about the tank once I said I was a new homeowner, I asked a million more questions which he answered every single one. Once again just so polite, patient, the staff at Cliff's is amazing! Whoever does the hiring and training A+! I went from a new nervous nellie to a well informed homeowner. I really appreciate the time the techs took to answer my questions and explain what needed to be done. Never once did I feel like a nuisance or rushed. Keep up the good work! He also explained the fluctuation of the quote if there was extra labor and material it would be involved. His crew showed up on the scheduled date on time. He explained what to expect with the water that comes with a freshly drilled well and he was exactly right. My yard was left just as clean as it was before they got there. Hired this company from PA for a 4-plex purchase in FL to pump/inspect the 4 septic tanks prior to…read moreour closing on the property. This company, together with the home inspector (also on site that same day) MISSED AN ENTIRE TANK - told us there were only 3 and that the front building shares one larger tank due to the well being on the other side of the property. Seemed plausible, so we move along. They provided zero report of any kind for this "inspection". No photos. Nothing but a phone call saying you have 3 and they look fine, we're done and gone. We're now working to get the property fixed up and despite paying $1,248 for these inspections, we STILL don't know exactly where the access lids are located since Payless buried them again with no photos. We didn't get fully moved down for a few more months, so the grass was grown back over and we couldn't tell where had been dug. We have since purchased our own very expensive sewer scope and locator only to find we do in fact have a 4th tank that Payless completely ignored. When we hired another company to come pump that 4th tank after finding it ourselves - they showed up with the permitting plans for our property and knew not only that there were 4 on the property, but exactly where the 4th tank was before we even showed them. Why did Payless not check these records? We are still learning and didn't know to look for those records at the time, but I would expect a professional in this business to know about them. We also now know that all 4 tanks are original and the same size, so that was a lie telling us that the front building shared one larger tank. How does a professional septic company not own a locator?

This guys quote was $12,000 more than Pope's Well Drilling (who I selected to do my job), $11,000 more than Boyette Pump and Well Service, and $14,000 more than Pasco Well Drilling. All quotes were for the same depth, materials, pump, and water pressure tank. You sir are a disgrace. You grossly overquoted the job and took my money with a smirk on your face. All you wanted to do was pass go and collect $225 without doing any work or service. Contractors like you are the worst of the worst. Do not use Technical Pump. You can't trust people like this.
