We called and asked when they could be out to pump our septic tank. For an extra $45, they said they would be out today instead of tomorrow. Within 30 minutes the truck pulled up without calling and was pumping the septic tank and cleaning the filter. Quick response and quick service. All other companies had a two week waiting list for an appointment and no emergency service available. after hiring John's by John to pump my septic and inspect for the new house I was purchasing. I spoke with Anthony and he told me they would schedule to get someone out. They did on 930 and supposedly pumped the tank and checked the drainfield. Both were in good condition on my paperwork and I closed. after about three months, I started having right away in the showers upon hiring another company they never pumped the tank or even pulled the lids. They took the money and ran would not recommend Albert was the technician. Anthony is the man I spoke with on the phone multiple times and he's continuing to say it's not on them and the tank could be full again already after having secondary septic tank company come drain lines are collapsed and tank was never pumped would not do any work with this company at all. read more

We had our septic pumped in January 2021 with his service. Our septic emergency occurred on a weekend and Johns by John was the only one we were able to get out for assistance, though even THAT came with a series of delays without the slightest communication to let us know they wouldn't be out at the appointed times. Their serviceman came out and did the job, and we thought we were good to go. Flash forward six months and our septic is backing up AGAIN; hesitant to go back to Johns by John, we managed to get another company out to diagnose. I explained that we'd had it pumped six months ago and they knew something wasn't right. After poking around, they were able to show/explain exactly how we'd been cheated: apparently Johns by John had A) only pumped a portion of our tank and B) ripped out our filter and left the tank incomplete so the flow would get backed up again. I'm told it's likely done to get called back out in hopes of pushing unnecessary additional maintenance/repair to a supposedly "faulty" drain field. Anyway, we're out the money paid to Johns by John and now an additional $350 to replace the filter and its associated bits. Avoid them at all costs. read more

I got a phone call from the office letting me know the truck was on the way. They arrived on time. The tech was very professional. The service was quick. He cleaned up everything, including my yard. Scam. We hired John's by John to replace our drain field. We gave them a $1,000 deposit. It took a full 7 weeks before they began. After replacing the drain field, the workers left the area without grading the top dirt. As a result, we cannot reseed. We have phoned Anthony the owner, several times to finish the job. He kept arguing with us saying it was done properly. When our neighbor, who is in the landscaping business told him it is not done properly & the work is unacceptable, Anthony hung up on him. I am filing a complaint with the BBB. We now have to hire someone else to finish the job. In turn we are suing Anthony in small claims court for reimbursement. Horrible company. The county denied the approval and have also left this matter for TWO YEARS. This company has left the mound in my yard with broken pipes and not enough dirt to cover the mound (half of it is on the county's property outside my fence because they did not dump it in the yard as I asked). John's by John's Anthony who is the owner came to the property the date was supposed to have my Leitchfield replaced and apparently came without everything that he needed to do the job so when he finished tearing up my job he left it and went to another job without completing it never told me that he didn't have the riser or the To finish the job he wouldn't answer a phone call he just kept texting me so the next day after the job was supposed to be done I still don't hear anything from him I go outside to see what's going on and sure enough one of his workers were there who was very nice and he told me that Anthony would be by in a little bit to put the cap on and he never showed up and it wasn't until 4 o'clock that afternoon he finally returned my messages stating that he was down in Tampa and in a meeting or he was driving a tractor or whatever he whatever story he had to tell and I therefore I would not recommend him . He stated that my property The ground was never even evened out he stated he would mark with a sprinkler heads where he broke the pipe on the sprinkler heads because and his contract that states he's not responsible but he never did that either would look as nice as it did when he was finished as it was before he started never put anything back that he took off the property never cleaned up the pipes that he left there read more

Several months ago I purchased my home that had a new drain field put in, by this company. (while I was closing on the house the work was going on) A few weeks later we received lots of rain and two blow outs opened up above the drain field. The worse part about this is that the slope to the drain field was facing g my pool, so everything that came up ran off into my pool. I contacted the company that had performed the work "Johns by John", who I advised of the issue. I was told that the Health Inspector approved the work and there was nothing I could do about it, but the guy stated "the only thing I am willing to do is have a cup of coffee with you and that's it. " After contacting a real companies handles septic tank systems I found out that this guy, has an injunction against him in Hernando County to where he is no longer allowed to perform work on septic systems in the county. I contracted for a full drainfield replacement for 3 bedroom house with 10-yr warranty. He did not replace the malfunctioning drainfield.. he just added 140 sqft EZ Flow & charged me over $2K! Of course the entire system (540 sqft) is now breaking down bec the 140 sqft EZ Flow cannot handle a 3-BD household. What a cheat & con-man. read more

Scheduled a port o let for a wedding. Scheduled to be delivered the day prior. They contacted us and explained they had an issue with it that day, would the next day, 8am be fine. We said of course no problem. The delivery shows up at 1:45pm, we have already had the ceremony and everyone has shown up. I speak with our contact and he claims he never spoke with us so I called him back on his personal line we had setup the 8am delivery on. No discount offered, no call about it being late, nothing. I called them to come pump my tank. I made the appointment on a day I could be home and I am so glad I did. The whole time I was standing outside with them, He and his ascendant was on their phones not paying any attention to me .Bad costumer service. When they pulled off the lid, it broke. I am not saying they broke it, it just happened. So I asked him what my options are. He told me to get a riser so I did .I paid $300 more dollars for that. He told me he can put it on the next day by 4.I told him not to put the dirt back, I would do that. He never showed up or called. The next day after that, I had to work and I came home to the riser just placed on my tank. So I kneeled down to take a closer look at it and it wasn't sealed or screwed to the tank and the lid wasn't screwed to the riser either. I called him today to ask about it and he tells me that he put cement around the riser. I told him that I can move it and it needs to be sealed. He started yelling at me saying he wanted to put the dirt on it but I wouldn't let him. I told him that the dirt can go down into my tank. I told him that I watched alot of videos and they all say to seal the riser. He then yelled at me and said don't watch the damn videos. And said he is not going to come out to seal it. So me being a single parent has to go buy sealer and screws to seal the riser and screw the lid on. What did that $300 get me? They got another customer not ever going to use them ever again. He was willing to take $1k non-refundable deposit and then disappeared for a month. I hired someone else to finish the job and boy did that set him OFF. My mom's neighbor just hired him and SAME thing. Takes your $ and shows up if and when he wants to. My 74 yo terminally ill lung cancer patient Mother asked him to stop digging up in her yard and to stay in the property lines of the neighbor that hired him. He told her off and said he doesn't have time to argue with her, he has work to do, and he has a legal right in be on her property. I sure hope he's careful and doesn't slip into that huge pit he dug up 3 weeks ago that's full of you-know-what, sludge, and rain water. Johns by John II is ok if you just need your septic tank pumped. We used them in late January when our system backed up. However, it did not fix the problem. They suggested a plumber. We had the lines cleaned from the roof vent requiring 90' of line and all was fine. The plumber suggested we install a clean out access at ground level near the tank. On March 3rd our system backed up again. The plumber again suggested we install a clean out access. We called Johns who offered several options to complete this task. After dozens of calls and texts to them (most that were ignored for days), we did have contact with them. They committed to a scope of work and a target date to start. After more unanswered calls to confirm a date, they changed their story when we finally talked to them. We gave up on John's after 20 days. We found a different company to do the job. We would never use John's again. We are not the only unsatisfied customer. Check complaints with the BBB (Better Business Bureau). read more

Well, no one called me back for an entire week, I called back to reschedule, and from that day all I got was the run around from that day I guess I should not have called and asked to reschedule. When they finally showed up, I was told that employee did not have covid and it was an employee and employer dispute why my appt was canceled and that ANTHONY DOES THIS ALL THE TIME, he overbook himself and decides who goes first and who waits after receiving your deposit. He immediately texted me back because he was in a meeting, and set me up with an appt much sooner than I thought would be possible. I contracted these crooks in late 2018 to install a new drainfield in one of my rental properties, as the septic was backing up, of course they immediately told me the only solution is the most expensive option, a new drain field, I paid them $3975 to install a new drainfield in 11/2018, and had numerous issues with them making unauthorized charges to my credit card, leaving a mess at the worksite etc. the installation came with a "lifetime warranty" that was a huge selling point on their part at the time of sale. after the drainfield was installed, it NEVER worked properly and the septic continued to back up into the home, causing me to lose a tenant, and about 20k worth of damage to the interior of my home due to the continuing backup of human waste, I also had cases opened at the DOH and code enforcement due to their defective drainfield. I pumped the NEW drainfield about 5 times since it was installed and the new one is worse than the one they replaced! I have asked the owner Anthony Crescenzo, numerous times to honor their " warranty" and he has refused, stating that it is "karma" he has been an arrogant prick to deal with and unfortunately I discovered after the fact that they are well known to be crooks and scammers, and this idiot, Anthony , has people put fake good reviews online. Where do I begin. On 6/11/2020 Johns by Johns II came out to pump my septic. Ok we need a leach field instead. We say yes,after all the house was built in 1993. Paid for the pumping and a$1000.00 deposit on a $3,800.00 leach field. After a few calls I was told it always takes awhile to get the permit to do the job. On 7/31/2020 they finally came out to put in new field. Great we paid the balance with a charge card. After 3 phone calls to get a paid receipt, still have nothing . At 1 point "Crystal" said it takes awhile to get the final report from the Health Dept. and I would get the receipt then. Well here it is 9/9/20 and I'm still waiting . Crystal DOES NOT return phone calls or know how to send receipts. I called the Health Dept and got a copy of everything done to this house since it was built in 1993. Bottom line the men in the field are great the office help suck. This morning I called her once again and the phone has been disconnected ,go figure . Left a message w/field men. Next call is to my Lawyer .CRYSTAL,ALL I WANT IS THE PAID IN FULL STAMP ON MY WORK ORDER. I will be glad to stop by and show you how it is done . We have a 10 year warranty and I pray we never have to use it .I don't ever want to deal with these people again. !!!! My next stop is also with the BBB. I hired this company to put a new drain field in. It took 2 months for them to complete the job. They are very disorganized and unprofessional. They destroyed my yard. They ordered a dump truck full of dirt and spread in all over the front and back of my yard. The front you doesn't even have anything to do with the septic tank. They left the old piping they had dug up in the yard and covered it with dirt. There were ruts they dug up left in the yard sticking up out of the ground. They left their trash in the yard. They left dirt all over the side of my house, my fence, trash cans and a/c unit. They have very poor communication. I will never recommend they to anyone and they should be ashamed of themselves. We had used another company since we bought our home in 1998... to make a long story short the guy from the other company wanted my husband to dig about 3 foot deep hole to get to the septic tank which happens to be this man's job not my husbands ...My husband told him he would help him but he wasn't going to dig the hole alone... BEWARE!! CON ARTISTS If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst customer service EVER! My husband originally called Johns by John for a price quote on some parts to redo our septic and was convinced by the owner, Anthony, to let them do it since they could have it done in about a week for only $500 more than it would cost to do it ourselves. We agreed because Anthony laughed at my husband on the phone making him think it was an impossible task that he couldn't do himself and pass an inspection. Anthony told us in order to get is started as soon as possible, we needed to sign his contract that day, June 26, and give him half the money up front. Because we are having such trouble with our sewage, I stupidly and immediately responded in agreement with his ridiculous contract and sent him the money. We waited a week with no word from his company so I called to check on progress. I again spoke to Anthony who was VERY RUDE to me again laughing condescendingly to me saying he never told me a week that I HAD to give him 2 weeks because of the upcoming Independence Day holiday, his company would be closed 3 extra days. I was appalled that he would speak to me in such a way and told him I did not call to argue only to find out what was going on. I then agreed to wait another week. After another week went by and still no word, I had my husband call so he could not speak to me in such an demeaning way. Rich was in the office that day and said it would be another 3 weeks, Anthony was out of the country on vacation, and that there was no way anyone in the office would have told us 2 weeks. As you could imagine, we were very upset and said never mind we no longer wish to do business with you. My husband was then told that that's fine but they were keeping our money. So, my husband called our credit card company and had our money returned and went on Google to write a bad review. Anthony immediately called us after seeing the review and begged my husband to change it saying it was his livelihood, etc and he would agree to give us our money back minus the cost of the permit and the 2 hours of office work he put in. My husband agreed and changed the review to "We had issues..we'll see how it goes". To which, Anthony responded with blaming me for being impatient and unrealistic. A week later Anthony calls saying we owe $900 for the cost of the permit, which we still do not have, and the 2 hours work he put in. If we don't pay it he's taking us to court for the full $2000. My husband declined to pay him that ridiculous amount and told him to do what he needed to do. I have since done research on this company, like I should have first, and found that this is typical business with them. Several 5 star reviews are FAKE!! Fair pricing, Fast and timely service, friendly and knowledgeable operator. What more can you ask of in a company? Let me tell you how they went above and beyond this... I'd like to personally recommend Albert. He was the operator that cleaned my tank. Since purchasing my home in a foreclosure sale, I had no information whatsoever given to me about my property. I was able to track down a permit given by the Hernando County Health Department (Thanks Lillian!) in 2004. This permit was pulled for replacement of the drainfield. It came with the site map showing the area where my tank was. Thank goodness I was able to get this because the tank was much further out than normal. Even with the map, I, myself, could not find it since the original markers were gone and it was buried over two feet below ground. Albert was able to quickly locate it, he dug it up, and of course it was full and he stated that there might be a failing drainfield. Knowing that there had been work in 2004, he decided to try something else. He dug out the second lid (remember it was 2 ft down and 90 degrees out) and discover that they had retrofitted a filter during the previous work. He was able to ascertain that the filter was the problem (clogged) and that the drainfield was fine. The tanks were pumped spotless. The filter thoroughly cleaned. Albert also took time to explain everything to me and educate me on my system. He even went so far as to call me back to his truck before he left to give me a pamphlet that explained even more. Now, as you know, this would have been a prime opportunity to get me, as an unaware consumer, to get a complete new drain field installed when it wasn't needed. Instead, he went extra measures to be honest. Honesty, Integrity, and pride in your work - this is what should be expected from professionals that you hire. After 10 days of it not being cleaned, and numerous phone calls, he threatened to sue US for harassment. Nothing was resolved until I had to call the Health Dept. Finally, the Porta Potty is supposed to FINALLY be picked up today by 4:00. This has caused us a LOT of hassle, in the owner of Johns by John2 Anthony Crescenzo's own words "SMELL YOU LATER" in his last text, he also stated, I have a Law Degree"; hoping to intimidate us. If I were to start from start to finish, I would be here all day. I think that the company and it's owner are without a doubt, as horrible as any company whose only concern is the almighty dollar. Back in September of 2014, this 'John's by John II' were called on to service our Septic tank system. While emptying the system, the person doing the job took notice that roots had been making their way into the tank itself. The person doing the service of pulling out whatever he was able to, told me that perhaps the field servicing the Septic tank could also be damaged. I had made arrangements to have the owner of 'John's by John II' come to the house and explain the work needed. Never did he mention that any damages to either the electrical wires possibly running underground or irrigation pipes will they be responsible for if they cause damage to them. Two weeks later when the company got all of the permits requirements, a backhoe arrived at the house digging recklessly at the area he thought the field work was in need of starting. While the backhoe operator dug closer to the pump area, he took notice that the pump was the culprit of the problem by not being plugged. He then, after he had already dug up quite a bit to include my irrigation system, plugged the pumps electric and BINGO, the pump began to do the job that it was there to do....pump the water onto the field. Now, 'John's by John II's owner decided that an alert electrical signal system will prevent any future problems by sending a signal if the pump ever went bad. Well, that was fine and dandy, except that he had the new system replaced leaving the box itself hanging precariously on the lawn without any proper securement of the box itself. When asked of him whether they were going to come out and repair what they had damage with irrigation to begin with, the respond I got was 'read your contract.' I had also requested of the owner to come back to my place and have the alarm and electrical wiring that they had negligently laid on the lawn and have it secured, he suggested I have to get a lawn ornament to hide the box now laying on the ground and that should take care of it's appearance. Well, needless to say, the box is still hanging by one screw and as for the irrigation system, well I guess that too will for now have to wait. Were do we begin first we had them replace a 20 something year leach field 8 years ago we used them only only because the house was done by them when built. Okay great they came out and said they had a better way of doing the leach fields with a different product which basically is popcorn that is in the pipes and if you know what that product is it is what you use for stuffing for shipping packages. Yes exactly well only finding out after this system has been failing for about a 1 1/2. We have had plumbers come out thinking we had blockage in our lines in the house, because you never think your leach field is failing only after 7 years. Then it began the septic tank was over filling outside, we called Johns by Johns because they put in the system. They came emptied the tank for 225.00 and said that was the problem one week later same thing called again came out tank as filled again. Was told it would be another 225.00 but also the field was no good called spoke with the rudest person ever said well I told your husband to get a years worth of water bills and receipts for anytime the tank was emptied. At that time he became very rude and said you were told to mail these to me, which in fact never said such basically calling my husband a liar it went from bad to worse from there at that point I had a tank over filling needing to be pumped and now needing a new leach field after 8 years. Had them pump it then started calling around which I should've 8 years ago to find out that this system is basically a throw away system that the over all life of this type of system is 3-8 yrs. Needless to say they did not put In the new system which cost us 2500.00 and is to last over 20yrs never use this company many complaints money hungry, terrible customer service, rude took plenty of pictures of failed system going to state as to why they allow this type of system in first place unfortunately money is at the four front and many septic companies have said such. You can't live without your septic system right. Don't use this company especially if they continue to use this type of system do your research carefully don't be like us 2500.00 later 2 weeks before Christmas and trust me they will tell you this is a great system not so much, a little research will prove differently they are not the only ones using this so buyer beware money is hard to come by and there warranty they have is a worthless as the paper it is written on. They wanted to put us through hoops regarding the approval that they did something wrong and system failed he said it goes to 3rd party for review and could not tell us how long it would take or if they would even approve, honestly when do you find someone say they put in a failed system could not wait need to use water and they know that would not do anything for us until the company decides on a decision as to what they would do. We had to do something fast and they knew that, they were probably hoping we would say go ahead and do it regardless of the approval. So we knew then we were being taken. Don't be like us you don't want to do business with these people. There are many other trust worthy and truthful companies out there trust us.
