Tyler completely FORGOT to perform our mold inspection, which caused us to miss the window for both a professional mold and roof inspection during our contingency period. This mistake directly impacted our ability to complete proper due diligence. We hired Odyssey Home Inspection after Tyler promised a general, professional roof, sewer/plumbing, mold inspection, and a termite inspection. The general inspection was on time, but the sewer and termite reports were delivered several days late, and the "roof inspection" turned out to be just a brief visual check, NOT a professional roof report with estimates as promised. When confronted, Tyler admitted he forgot the mold inspection and offered a full refund only if we signed a liability waiver, which we found completely inappropriate given the missed and delayed services. Odyssey team only refunded the mold test they FORGOT to perform. Home buyers rely on timely, complete, and honest inspections, Odyssey Home Inspection failed on all fronts.

The repairs needed involved replacing relativly critical portions of the support structure of a three story building. Despite reccomendations from both a structural engineer and an expert in foundation repair, this company replaced only a portion of the damaged structure. Additionally, they did so in a way that is tremendously sub-standard and possibly dangerous. In addition, the work was performed without any permits or inspections. I would suggest that anyone considering using this company do so with considerable care and get multiple estimates before contracting with them.
