These guys are fantastic! Professional and organized, they came out immediately to quote the removal of 12 large trees that had been planted too close to the house back in 1963 when it was built. The lot is 1/3 acre, and they respected my desire to retain as many trees as possible, but carefully incise those whose roots had invaded my house (they had broken through the foundation and that was an expensive repair!). Some trees, including a very large Mulberry whose roots had already broken the concrete foundation in the back corner, allowing moisture into the basement, were taken out with great care and precision. The large team of professional tree trimmers and yard personnel was on time, hard-working, very safety conscious, and courteous. Such team spirit! The quoted price was reasonable, in line with other bids, but the service was the most important thing. I asked that they mulch the trees on site and leave the mulch, which they happily did. I ended up with a 20' dump truck load of mulch in my yard. I then hired them to come back and clear brush, take out the grass, and work the mulch into the soil. The owner suggested 16 cubic feet of topsoil/compost, which I ordered, and they worked it in and smoothed it over. The objective was not only to get rid of the diseased trees, and those that were breaking up the foundations, but to get rid of the privet and other invasive non-natives and reclaim the property from grass, invasives, etc., and make it strictly native plants, with additional fruit tree and elder berry plantings. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I will have them back to help with some landscaping work. I feel like I've found a service provider who's happy to listen to what the customer wants, mulch the wood on site, not waste anything, and do a spectacular cleanup. By the way, the removal of the trees was precision, nothing else was damaged. I asked them to leave some of the cedar logs for use in the back landscaping so that nothing is wasted. The trees that we left were healthy natives, Cornus Florida, Oak, Prunus Serotina, malus fusca, and understory trees and shrubs like ninebark, cornus sericia, Virginia sweetspire, many native Viburnums. It's rare to find a landscape company that respects native plants, trees in general, and what the customer wants. Photos are some before, during, and after. So happy I hired them!!! read more
