They have chips and salsa for the table, and they were good. Their virgin Pina Colada was also the bomb. That's the good part, the best part of the afternoon. Unfortunately, things went sideways quite a bit for my friends. One of them eats dairy free and gluten free. It was extremely difficult for her to find anything to eat there. At some point, a manager told her he'd have to reheat her tortillas in the microwave. Weird and disappointing option. She ordered the dish anyway, and it was just nothing noteworthy. My other friend had the seafood, a shrimp dish to be exact, and she had an upset stomach a couple of hours later that lasted until the evening. She hadn't eaten anything else. So we're not 100% sure it's because of this place, but seafood is a common culprit so it's very possible that it was. I don't think she finished her plate, if my memory serves me well. My husband had the chimichanga. I think it was fine. But it was dunked in beef tallow, which he had been warned about. I thought it was a strange thing to do, especially since you can fry it in normal oil and open the menu to vegetarians as well. Beef tallow is so 1851!... Out of all of us, I had the best experience, but I can't say the same or the rest of my party. Let's just say Adobe Cafe showed us the good, the bad and the ugly.
