I am very unhappy with the services at HerKare Frisco. I was seen 2 months ago and the first time I went into the office I simply met with someone who explained they would take bloodwork and then I had to book a telehealth visit to actually DISCUSS what I was there for. I also paid almost $200 for that visit. So I had bloodwork and then scheduled a telehealth. The 1st telehealth the person did not seem organized or that she knew what she was discussing with me. She mentioned two health related things that did NOT happen to me. I was very weary that the results given were actually mine. I was basically given a list of supplements to take. I was told that I had to have prior doctor approval -- meaning from my OBGYN for any hormone replacement. If that is the case why am I coming to HerKare? The information given was inconsistent. I ended up having multiple texts with another telehealth person. It was a little better - but now I am receiving auto fill prescriptions that I did not approve to be refilled or charged. I am just overall unhappy. No one bothered to follow up with me. No one called to see how things were going. This is not a medical service in any way. read more

Everything! They don't return messages. I never speak to the same person. Ordering medication is a nightmare. Billing is terrible. I paid for an order and didn't receive the medication, when I called about it they wanted me to pay again! It took at least 1 month for them to figure out where my $155.00 credit was and another 2 weeks before I received the medication. I have been without medication for over a month and they want me to come in for bloodwork to see where my levels are! How can they have accurate bloodwork when I have been off medication for over a month. Overall this has been a frustrating, disastrous experience. Don't make the mistake of going here! read more

I have been going to the Frisco location for two years. I have been self-injecting that entire time. The staff is friendly and nice, but I have noticed several things that have made me stop my prescription with them, and I will look elsewhere. 1. Their service has had a trend downward. Nothing major, but it is obvious. Today, I called them at 10:45 in the morning several times. No one answered. 2. I constantly get left without shots and I have to follow up to get the problem resolved. 3. The phone app could be better. There are no reminders to take shots. There is no verification if you missed recording a shot that you didn't do it. Also, the data for HerKare and the men's LowT centers' clients are in the same database it seems. My husband and I spent over five months getting this figured out. 4. The doctor only listens to you if there is a problem. I have stated three times that I believe I need my dosage changed. They say they need to check my bloodwork. Bloodwork comes back, and I get no answer when I ask about it. 5. Although I get no answer on my testosterone questions, I get asked if I want to change my other prescriptions to them, and they ask about those levels and if they are correct. I am going back to my OBGYN. Although he doesn't give shots, I know he listens to me and my objections or needs. read more

My wife has been going to this location for three years and I normally go with her to support her and because I am interested in her health. There is a new receptionist that has a really horrible attitude. I sensed it the first time but thought okay everyone has bad days. Well it seems all of her days are bad. I don't need a super happy person at a doctor office but a little interest and politeness instead of negative energy, no eye contact, and two word communication that is borderline demanding is a bit much. To make it worse, messing up appointment scheduling, not scheduling services and then when asked about it won't even acknowledge the mistake or even a slight apology. I was going to email the corporate office but they don't even list an email other than the local office. I'm pretty sure if I send it to the office she will be the one who receives it. I'm not even the patient and I'm writing a review so that should be a stern warning. Apparently there have been other complaints but no one has done anything about it. Why is she still working there? Wife is not going back there anymore now primarily because of her. Also over the past year there has been a lot of turnover with staff and PA's and every week it seems like someone new is wanting to discuss her history and not organized with what should be discussed from the previous visit. I love the staff at the Frisco location but the phone system to get through doesn't work right and my pharmacy can never get them to re-new my prescriptions through their automated system. She dsnt even smile! The clinic is also so tight. And good thing I researched what to expect on the first meeting like if i need to fast etc bec no one from their clinic emailed or told me to fast! So when i got there, they asked me i i did fast bec they're gonna do a lot of blood work. So what if i didnt fast? They will jst tell me to come back. And wouldve waste my time, right? Apparently they have sold and gone are the Penny's and Christie's that gave you marvelous care and really listened. I had a video chat with the NP and had to remind her to go over my bloodwork. Appointments last 10 and they could care a less. The lady who takes your blood is rude. When calling in for a refill they never get back with you. Four days later I have to call and follow up. If I could give zero stars I would. I had my bloodwork drawn on Wednesday 03/20 and KerCare scheduled a telemedicine follow up on 03/26 to receive my results. On 03/26 I joined the telemedicine call at 8:00 AM and was told by the nurse practitioner that they followed up with KerCare and the Lab companies but could not find my labs. The nurse practitioner told me that they informed KerCare of the missing labs and they were supposed to reach out to me before my telemedine appointment get me back into the clinic to redraw my bloodwork and reschedule my results telemedicine appointment which they did not do. So not only did I waste money and time coming into the clinic to get my bloodwork the first time but then wasn't contacted for an entire week to get me to come back in to do my bloodwork again after they lost it and then I also wasted time on the telemedicine call. I am beyond disappointed and will find another clinic that has better customer service. read more

I'm in my 2nd year at HerKare and absolutely love the staff and love how great I feel. From day 1 I have felt like a different person. My hot flashes and night sweats totally went away. They are so easy to schedule and same day time changes are always accommodated. The entire team is super nice and caring! When I go, I'm in and out in 10-15 minutes...it's VERY quick and easy. Even my OB/GYN is impressed with the level of care I am getting at HerKare and he says I am doing the hormone thing right with them...based on the fact that they do regular blood work/testing so that levels can be adjusted accordingly. I have been going to Her Kare in Frisco for over 5 years. Went in for my normal 2 week Appointment and was told sorry, but we no longer accept your insurance (BCBS) and by the way, you are expected to pay $200 per visit (bi-weekly) going forward vs my normal $20 Co-pay. No explanation as to why they were dropping Blue Cross. In my search for a new doctor/clinic I found out that most places only pellets vs injections. I saw another post on here for Strategic Health Wellness in Dallas near the Galleria. I gave them a call and scheduled an appointment. Love Hailey and Dyron. They truly are interested in my health and wellbeing and getting me feeling my best. One of the best things about Strategic Health Wellness is I no longer have go for a doctor visit every 2 weeks. I give myself my testosterone shots every week (not every 2 weeks). Testosterone only stays In your body for 7 days. And they accept my insurance too. HerKare has been great with looking at my blood levels and my symptoms to come up with care plans. They will look at more than just the numbers which is great when menopause starts at the age of 35. My numbers might barely make a range, but they are willing to try medication to boost those counts. It is also super easy to get an appointment. Staff has always been receptive to concerns and is very open to your active participation in your personal treatment plan. Test therapy in women is still very new, and many physicians aren't well educated on the subject--including most OB/GYNs. You can't just walk into your regular doc's office and ask for this type of therapy...they'll probably shut you down or steer you in a completely different direction, because they're uninformed on the subject. That said, this is a low-T center--not your family GP. Do your research and have some idea what to expect, prior to trying HRT. They're trying to balance hormones, not replace your regular doctor. Of course it will be hormone-focused. Oh, and the reviewer who knocked them due to "being next to an MMA gym"....that's just an ignorant statement. Not only has the gym closed its doors, but they were in no way affiliated. And yes, I know this for sure. As far as a high turnover, as another reviewer stated--there is no more than a regular doctor's office. When any business first opens, there's always a bit of turnover, when trying to build your ideal team. I know these girls well and see the same faces, every 10-14 days. And for those complaining about being required to show up every 10-14 days, claiming they're just trying to "push the testosterone"....uh, that's how T therapy works. You can't go longer than that or you'll bottom out. Clearly, some very uninformed reviewers here. One reviewer stated "the lead physician has trouble with attractive women"--wow. Just, wow. And here I thought people couldn't be any more self-absorbed! Nonetheless, the owner/doctor/medical controller has always been very professional and is very knowledgable. Anyway, give HerKare a try. They're catching a lot of flack, unjustifiably. I've been a patient for over a year and a half and have no complaints. I've also sent several of my own clients there, who have been satisfied with their treatment. It's not for everyone, but don't let a few poor reviews scare you off. Booked online several days ago and drove 45 minutes to my appointment only to find out that they don't provide the service I was BOOKED for on Saturdays. No voicemail or email other than I was booked and a reminder. The only solution is to book on another day during the week which wasn't communicated or anywhere on the website that I can see (the drop downs appear for all dates). I wouldn't have made the appointment or the long drive just to be told "I don't know why she (the employee) did that, we don't do those appointments on Saturday. read more

Feeling disappointed. I made an appointment after my friend had such good luck with them. They did call to confirm my appointment and tell me the charges. They said they typically don't take new patients on Saturdays (which I require) but can break up the visit into 2 visits. Okay, not a problem, I can do that. The charge for me would be $350 for first visit which would include injection and the second appt would be $107.88 for injection. They said I could not get injection on first visit because my bloodwork would not be back, but would still charge me AGAIN at second visit (already paid as part of $350 fee). I was like...uh....NO. Not paying twice and getting one injection at $107.88 a pop! Cancelled the appt and will look elsewhere. This is not right. Sounds like a scam to me. read more

So I found out about HerKare through a mom's group on Facebook and I am so glad I did. I am back for my follow up visit with Misty and I'm glad they do a thorough blood panel to test for your thyroid levels. I never thought to ask my PCP or OB Gyn to do so because I figured it was all included during my well women's visit and yearly physical but they don't test for it all. HerKare accepts insurance but you should call and double check to see if they accept your insurance and have them verify it. The ladies are very kind and prompt and very helpful and accomodating to our needs! I received my results back and Misty answered all my questions and alleviated my concerns. Overall, I had a good experience from where the location is to ease of parking and getting in right away and having my insurance verified and the receptionist letting me know how much to expect to pay prior. They offer a plethora of things that I never even knew about like b12 shots and such. The office is clean and welcoming. I will be back in 3 months. read more
