Some recent issues like outsourcing all calls to a call center not on site resulting in 4-5 calls to schedule a run of the mill office visit all the way to the most recent visit of the doctor telling me he'll refill the same medication he himself had prescribed and refilled last month but then finding out the pharmacy didn't receive it. Sounds like a simple case of making a mistake but when I called in to ask about it the doctor said he never prescribes that medication and to go somewhere else? The absolute bare minimum there should have been some communication but that's being too lenient because this was the most neglectful way of handling a case. There should be no shame in just telling the patient you don't have the ability to treat them or whatever the reason. I've sent the managing partner an email to share my experience and hopefully find a reason for what's changed because my last few experiences have me finding another clinic.

The "doctor" at the clinic also did not know what immunization a child entering 7th grade needed and made us look it up for him. What kind of doctor doesn't know the states immunization requirements? I am calling my bank to dispute the charges since Minute Clinic didn't submit to the insurance, my insurance has negotiated rates for items that are not fully covered. I'm also contacting corporate. The doctor cannot refuse our insurance, or simply bill us how he sees fit for services.

This last visit was the last straw however. Why did I keep going back? Well, it's usually the clinic I can be seen at same day and it's very close to my house, so while care has never been too high of quality here, being a busy mom, it usually suffices when I need a zpack or for minor issues. The provider saw me on Monday & told me to call back if I developed a fever. I did so I tried to call. The phone number listed was not the correct clinic, so I had to be rerouted. Twice. After 25 minutes on hold, I still did not get the correct location but the person who answered this time said they'd give the provider my message. 24 hours go by, no call back. I then get a text with a link for a follow up telehealth visit. So seeing as I'm sicker now, I take it. I wait for the visit the next day and log in. It is with a random provider at a different location and they apparently had no access to the provider's notes from Monday so it was like starting over. After me telling her how my symptoms have gotten worse, she informs me there's nothing she can do beyond cough medicine (what?) and to schedule an in-person appointment. Super, super frustrating. I understand telehealth visits have limitations but there was zero effort to examine me virtually and felt almost as if she was just trying to rush me off the phone. I did not feel heard or well-cared for as I have in other telehealth appointments elsewhere. There is a severe lack of quality of care here. They have clearly given up. Please do not waste your time or money at any of these branches. Legacy ER is next door and 100% the extra few bucks. Lesson learned!!

I told her on Midway. She said "ok" as if she knew which one. Never asked the address to confirm. I received a bloodwork panel and the standard IV infusions as a precaution. Here's where the concern sets in - I asked the doctor at least 3x if she saw fluid in my body, which I knew 95% it was fluid, but trust the experts right..? This was obviously very concerning for me as I'm a black women and self-advocacy is huge in experiences like this, also I had no idea what was ultimately happening with my body. Ultimately, if the doctor would've prescribed the necessary meds to expel the fluid I wouldn't have had to go 2 additional weeks with fluid in my body possibly making other matters worst (HBP). Let's not forget the pictures you see attached - this was the chosen method by the staff in how they handled taking my blood (items displayed all over the bed) PLUS sticking me over 6 times to find a vein (the last two times the nurse hit an artery and had to use a ultrasound machine).
