We are a single income, self-employed family, and had been trying for several years to get qualified to buy, but were unable to find a program tailored to our unique circumstances. Scott was confident he could help us and he and his team worked tirelessly to get us in to our first home. We are beyond happy and would highly recommend this incredible team. Thank you Scott.

Very disappointing experience overall…read more I was actually warned about this company beforehand--even by people associated with them--but I didn't expect it to be this bad. The home was not move-in ready, and issues started immediately. Instead of being resolved, the same problems kept coming up, requiring multiple visits that never fully fixed anything. Communication has been poor throughout--slow responses, lack of follow-up, and no real sense of urgency. It's been stressful and inconvenient having to deal with ongoing maintenance problems. Honestly, I'm just waiting for my lease to be over because that's how terrible this service has been. Would not recommend if you're looking for a professional or reliable rental experience.

Short Story: They bounced (returned) a check for $370k after being told in person that it was…read morelegitimate and there was plenty of funds to cover it. Long Story: I am the trustee for a trust. I went into the San Ramon branch on 11/7, the day after the final deposit (wire) into the trust checking account. The money was already in the account and ready to be distributed. I told the staff that there would be 2 checks (debits) coming in to that account for ~$370k each. I told them who they were for and, since there would be no more income for the trust, to close the account when both checks cleared and the balance was zero. I told them that I was heading out of the country in 2 days and wouldn't be available for a week. I asked if they needed anything more and was told they put the notes into the account and all was set. I was then called the next day to approve one of the checks. I told them I already did that and there would be one more check and make sure it is processed. Then, while I was out of the country and no phone access, I received an email from my office saying that Fremont Bank needed to talk to me. I had to pay $30 for a phone connection. It was after hours and they don't have an answering machine or service. So, called again the next morning and was told they bounced (returned) the check already because I wasn't immediately available to confirm the check. These people are incompetent. While I had phone service I called the corporate headquarters and filed a complaint. I was promised someone from HQ and San Ramon would call me back. No one ever did. When I returned, I spent another $30 to wire the money to the beneficiary (they didn't want me to do that but now had no choice). I used the Danville branch this time. It took about 30 minutes to get the wire handled and was assured that they would close the account as soon as the wire went through. Today, I received a call from the San Ramon branch demanding that I make a deposit or they would close the account. I would use a stronger word than incompetent but Yelp would likely not allow my review. Don't use Fremont Bank unless you want to waste your time.

The refinancing process was a little chaotic, and some departments in the bank were slow to move files despite borrower's multiple warnings of deadlines to the loan agent, so the loan did not close on time, which caused significant complications and expenses due to borrower's upcoming overseas traveling. 2. The loan agent promised a processing fee refund after loan closing, but he refused to honor it later. The borrower had to escalate the issue with his supervisor to get the fee refund. 3.
