So, I needed two tires, and this being a small town, I called to ask if I should make an appointment because I've spent hours at a Firestone even with an appointment. They were incredibly courteous on the phone, and that extended to my visit. The two tires I received were comparably priced to Wal-Mart, but I'm absolutely 100% positive that I didn't have to drive 40 minutes to get subpar service, so I would have paid more to avoid the headache. I went and had breakfast while I waited, and hit the thrift store. I was gone less than 45 minutes, and my car was done and waiting for me when I returned. I was so pleased with the experience that I made an appointment for the other two tires, and any repairs I may need in the future. If you are local, you already love this place. If you are visiting, or a part-time resident - this is where you go to not get ripped-off or hassled. I should also mention, they were kind enough to check on my brakes as a courtesy. Ample seating in the waiting area, and adequate enough parking for the size crew they have. If the parking lot is full and you didn't make an appointment, I think you'd likely be in for a wait. Google Maps wanted me to access Phil's from Main St., but you have to do so from 19 - FYI.

Luckily I was right across the street from this advance auto parts store. A sweet woman named Autumn was working and came to my rescue! I was physically unable to change the tire and she and her coworker (I can't remember his name - he was super helpful too!) helped me get the right jack and some wheel chocks to change the tire. Autumn and her coworker were so incredibly helpful. They were literal angels that helped me when I was desperately in need. Autumn's husband worked across the street and he, Autumn, and her co-worker helped me change the tire at night in the cold. I will always be a loyal Advance customer moving forward. I'm from out of town and was supposed to leave the next day... My engine light had come on, so I…read morestopped at an auto chain store to have it plugged in to see what was happening. Air/fuel sensor. Yikes! I had a 9 hour drive ahead of me. I purchased the sensor and the first place the auto supply recommended wouldn't use my part I just bought and couldn't get me in for two days! My daughter's friend recommended these guys, on a Sunday, these guys got me in the next day, early, and had me out and on my way home in less time than he quoted me on the phone! The place is clean, pleasant and the guys had no problem using my new part that I brought in! It was a great experience. Worth the drive folks if you're in the Asheville NC area!!!! And as far as the cost, I think it was very fair.
