My first session with Sarah, I came into the salon literally in tears, worried about cutting my…read morehair for the first time after having lost about 70% of it during COVID and experiencing a terrible haircut previously where the person thinned me out. The second she saw me, she sat me down, listened attentively and compassionately to my hair journey, and used our first thirty minutes just comforting me before even pulling out the scissors. She spent the entire session learning about my curl routine and educating throughout to help me get to my curl goals. I told her I was really hoping to grow my hair back out, and she was so attentive and never cut a strand or curl without asking for permission/giving reasoning why the cut would be beneficial first. I have truly never felt more cared for in a haircut session and it was truly a corrective experience! By the end of the cut, I was so happy that she was able to maintain my length while also giving me the volume I was looking for! Sarah went above and beyond for me. Not only did she spend 30 minutes listening attentively BEFORE the haircut even began, she followed up on multiple occasions, sending personalized Christmas cards and not only remembered me 6 months later, but remembered details of my story. She truly has a talent of giving you her full attention and making you feel special and more yourself by the end of every haircut. I have grown up with curly hair my whole life but it wasn't until I started seeing Sarah that I truly learned how to manage and maintain my curls in a healthy way! She has helped me so much in not just my curly hair journey, but also my hair growth journey as well. I cannot say enough about how amazing Sarah is! I wish I could give her 10 stars! I highly highly recommend her!

My first experience here was for an updo and unfortnatly it was so bad I had to take it out when I…read moregot home - it was clear that this girl had no experience with updos and I do not think they should have allowed her to try on me, a paying customer. My second expierence was coming in for a manicure and the person could not do french tips, I have never encountered that before because it seems like a very basic "design". My third and final experience was recently when I was given a gift card for a mani/pedi/massage and I was not interested in the massage as I do not like them, but it was a gift, so I asked if I could use the remainer of the balance after covering the mani/pedi on a different service and they said no. So that is why I am leaving this review because that is poor customer service. I have not left a bad review prior even with my bad experiences because the staff has always been SO nice. But this time it was not a great experience due to customer service. Additionally, my GEL manicure started chipping in TWO days, whereas I have gone other places where it has lasted me 4 weeks. So I believe they are either not training their staff well, or they don't use quality products. Which for how expensive it is there, they should be doing both of those things. I would not recommend going here, unless you are in a pinch. Still leaving two stars because the girls who have given my services have been very nice and I think that is worth mentioning.

Not exactly what I was hoping for in a "day spa" vibe. My stylist was Chelsea. She was pleasant and didn't talk too much, which I appreciated since I told her I was looking for some downtime. I'm happy overall with my cut, but sort of felt rushed by her. I've noticed several split ends since too, which is disappointing since I told her I wanted the ends cleaned up and healthy. She did a very nice scalp massage during the shampoo though and did a nice job targeting products that I might like.

Jenna, my friendly esthetician was also very prompt to see me and brought me to a clean and cozy room for my hair removal. She used sugaring technique, which for those who might not be familiar, is very difficult and if done incorrectly can be a not so pleasant experience. However, in my 10 years of waxing I can say this was in my top 3 greatest experiences. Jenna was friendly, welcoming and also extremely skilled in her technique. It was not only painless and quick, she got every last hair! I was seriously telling her I loved her! Haha trust me if you wax you understand. Anyways this place is wonderful and I totally recommend it! Thanks again Jenna - I will 100% be back!

BEWARE!!! I'm a huge supporter of small business! That being…read moresaid beware of Shapers The Salon & Day Spa! I recently moved back here and had done business with Shapers 15 years ago. I really enjoyed the environment. I came back and purchased a whole new line of products for my whole family right before Christmas. The lady that helped me was nice and helpful and said if I did not like any of the products to bring it back. I spent over $400 + that day on just products. Fast forward to today....I finally used up my old products and started to use the Aveda products about 1 week ago. Only two items I didn't care for after several uses. Mind you, I didn't use much of the product each use. They both were practically full. The lady at the counter was new. Silvia Garcia who apparently is the owner of the this store told me non of her ladies told me I could bring back the products if I didn't like them. Then told the new girl to call Don and see if I could exchange them. As Don told the young lady yes I could exchange them as they were barely gone, Silvia Garcia started making comments that I probably put other shampoo in there to make it fuller etc. I at that point was so appalled, that I said you have called me a lier and are accusing me of putting different shampoo in this bottle I want to return. Silvia said no, no I'm not saying that at all then started raising her voice at me and telling me that I was disrespecting her in her own store and that she will not refund the nutri plenish and Blond shampoo and said you are going to take this back home and LOVE it! I said I brought it back because I DON'T love it for my hair. I said WOW I can't believe this is happening. She said this is WOW and took the two products I was exchanging for and said now no exchange!!! Mind you my exchange was for products of lesser value and I am generous and was not looking for them to make up the difference! Silvia stormed off AND left that poor new young lady there to remedy the situation after insulting me on many levels and had to call Don again confused on what she was supposed to do! I will say this....Don appeared to be very patient and understanding and kind to the new employee! I have NEVER been treated like a second hand citizen like that before by anyone especially a business owner that I had spent A LOT of money with. I feel sad and have empathy for the new employee. I will find a new place to shop where I do not have to deal with Narcissistic behavior!!
